 I'll try to help!

disregard the periods in the url. and img.

1.)  [img.]copy and paste url[./img]

Here's the problem:
When you are pasting, if your url is highlighted and is underlined, press the button BBCode up on the top.  

It will look wierd, like this:
[url.=http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvpe8g6xf01qc01jno1_500.gif]http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvpe8g6xf01qc01jno1_500.gif[./url]
^Erase here-------------------------------------------------------------to here^

So now, the new url should look like this:
http://26.media.tumb...01jno1_500.gif.[/url]
                                                                                                                 
                                                                                                                 ^erase [/url]

So now, put them together!:

 [img.]new url [/img.]

Now, save, and you should get...:

Don't give up! Here, let me see if I can help visually (it always helps me to visualize when trying to figure something out)

Step 1:
Go to Google and find the image you want.

Step 2:
Click on it. Notice, on the right, will be the option to "View Full Sized Image". Click on that.

Step 3:
Copy the URL above the image after clicking "View Full Sized Image".

Step 4:
Go to the forums, click BBC code.

Step 5:
Enter your IMG tags, paste the image URL, then submit!

Alternatively:
To get the image URL quickly, right click on the picture (like in my example) and click "Copy Image Location"

I'll probably be ninja'd, but I hope I helped somewhat?
