[Fault Girl]

Everytime I see it misspelt, it takes all of my energy not to correct it or it's these two reasons.

1. I can't be bothered.
2. I have rubbish spelling myself so

I have a guy at my work called Hayden, I accidently called him Kaidan today.

LOL

He had no idea who he was though, I have just got him into Skyrim, next is Mass Effect.

Lol!  I have a friend named Ian, and I've been calling him Kaidan for some strange reason.  I think it's because I've been spending too much time on the forum and replaying ME1.  Ian and Kaidan kinda sound the same, right?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that my friend knows who Kaidan is and gets annoyed everytime I call him that, lol

I understand the misspelling. The sound of the name as it's pronounced is totally wrong.

The problem is that English speakers tend to reduce unstressed vowels, so it sounds like there's an "eh" sound there. So it should be spelled, if you're going by sound, something like "Kaiden". But it really should be pronounced something like "Kaidahn" not "Kay-den".

I just remember that his name is "ghost story" and that the second character is "story" so it's "dan". It's not "mysterious lightening", which would be "kaiden".

I used to get angry at the misspelling...then I played ME1 with subs on.

They spelt it Kaiden pretty often there too. XD

I accidently erased my canon ME2 save awhile back so I decided to just replay her from the beginning. I finished ME1 with her last week and have her started in ME2.

Because I just started playing Mass Effect back in June I'm really behind on the characters I want to import. I still have a renegade Sheploo I want to take through ME3 first since I'm too scared to take my canon first. I have imported him into 2 but I only got to the first meeting with TIM before I started my canon rerun. I also have two other Shepards still on Eden Prime that I would like to take into 3, I've already got their personalities developed and everything, but I just haven't had time for them.

Edit: I always play games with subtitles on and I had never noticed it spelled Kaiden... No wonder I'm always being told I should be more observant. I know when I first started playing ME I kept pronouncing it wrong because I was so used to the way 'ai' is pronounced in anime. It took forever for me to pronounce it as Kay-den

So I had a funny ipod combo today at work: Suspicious Minds (Dwight Yoakam), Horizon Letter, then Against All Odds (Phil Collins).... They all went so well together I had to rewind to the start and play them all again.

I just hit Ilos with Avery the Adept on Hardcore. She's level 49, which means that to hit Level 60, I'm going to have to replay her. AGAIN. On Insanity. I love Avery and her romance with Kaidan, but I'm damned tired of ME1.

I still have to get Meghan's canon Insanity run finished, too. She's a little more fun, though, since I get to be annoyed in her dialogue choices.

And horrible syntax...this was one of my earliest ones...went to check on it after I posted this and I had to reload the document to fix it...says it takes 30 minutes to show up so if anyone reads and sees grammatical errors I've taken care of it (hopefully all of them).

Haha. I don't think that's the actual meaning. 

The thing is the word 怪談 can be "old school horror stories". I don't know that I would use ghost story exactly. It's hard to explain. But the same first character starts the word 怪電話 "kaidenwa" or "weird phone call". 

There are quite a few ways you can read his name, since Japanese has so few sounds. Homophones include things like "formal meeting", "pleasant conversation like what you'd have with an old friend", "breaking up an organization". 

I think I like reading his name as "a nice conversation that makes both parties involved happy for having it". :3

EDIT: I have to replay ME1 and I never finished ME2. I got a little tired of having to play as a striaght woman to see the romances. Now I'm gonna finish off a dude Shep, especially since I forgot to back up my games when I did a system restore a few months back.

No need to blush.  I love the kink meme!  I've been known to drop off a story every once in a while because I'll only release my writing under the shadow of anonymity.  I love catching up on everybody elses ff.net accounts, but I'm too much of a wuss to start one myself.

(Oh, and Bekka, if you're around, I totally love your DA2 stories.  I'd read a bunch of them on the DA2:kmeme and it's so nice to pair them up with you as the fabulous author!)

I am really hoping that I'll be able to do a final run-through with my canon Shepard in time. My PC has chosen to die in an annoyingly spectacular fashion. My husband has sworn in his knowledge of all things computer that my hard drives are unaffected. I am terrified that I have lost all my saves.I have 3 main Shepards, and while I might finish a full run with one, I will not be able to re-play all three by March!
The timing is especially important as I want my canon, Eleanore to be my last game prior to ME3. She's the one who's with Kaidan, and I want that play through to be fresh in my mind.

Wow, it was very beautiful and touching, thank you for reposting it! I have a Shepard as well that was romancing Kaidan and then left him on Virmire, and I have to say that particular play-through is really sad but she is one of my favorite playthrough's because of the angst and drama surrounding her and how hard a choice Virmire was.

I will definetly be replaying ME1/ME2 before March. Currently I am just finishing up my insanity Adept playthrough who was romancing Kaidan and but left him on Virmire and hasn't romanced anyone in ME2 because she is still grieving. ME3 she might open up to Vega though if he is an option.

I will also need to replay my canon Male Shepard who romanced Ashley and my canon Female Shepard who romanced Kaidan so I can get a feel of them again, because its been a long time and I kinda forgot what choices I made for them.

And if I have time I'll probably start my 6th Shepard who is an engineer. Then I will have completed all 6 classes before ME3. I want to a different Shepard for each romance but I doubt I will have time to do that before ME3.
I have only romanced so far Kaidan, Ashley, Kaidan then moved on too Jacob, Liara, and Kaidan but died @ Virmire. Hmm I guess my favorite romances are all from ME1. <3

I am! I played ME1 and ME2 on my pc, but then finally got an xbox so I could play ME3 on it. So I rebought ME1 and I'm replaying it as we speak. Then onto ME2!
But, I have to decide whether I'm going to replay with my cannon playthrough a second time in order to boost her to level 60, or just go ahead and play ME2 wherever I'm at with her, and then start another Shepard playthrough (probably a Kaidan/Garrus mance).
I don't knowwww.
