As for the demo, I really hope that Kaidan comes out.  I cannot wait to see him.  I'm taking my time during my replay of ME1 just because I know I won't be seeing him in ME2 and it makes me so sad.   I keep counting down the days until ME3.

I was playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Repbulic last night and there is a prefect chat between the female Revan and Carth would be prefect for Kaidan and female Shepard. I don't remember it all, but something with a getting attention from a blaster rifle, and Revan do things a blaster rifle can't or something like that I don't remember because I move on from there.

However, I hit level 60 waaaaay before Ilos, so it may not have even been a factor.  But I do has a secret ;-).  For the quest that requires going to Earth's Moon (to destroy the evil AI), do some extra exploration before you leave.  If I remember correctly there are like 6 or 8 additional gun turrents in random places on the surface.  Each one is 1,000exp a piece on foot.  Thats where I got level 60 ;-)

I started my second playthrough at level 47 and now, after finishing Therum, Feros and a handful of side missions, I'm on level 55 at the moment.  I'm playing on Veteran (whereas on my first playthrough I was playing on Normal), but I didn't know that difficulty made a difference.  Maybe I should change it to Hardcore from here on out.  I have been getting out and killing everything on foot, though.  Proud to say I killed my first thresher on foot yesterday, woo!

Anyway, wow!  I didn't know about those additional gun turrets on the moon.  It never occurred to me to explore any further.  Thanks for the info!

If I'm not mistaken, I think you need to have xbox live to play ME3.  At least I know you need to have it for ME2...it won't let me play the game otherwise, unlike ME1 when I can play whether I'm online or not.

As for the 15th, not to be a debbie downer (thanks for that reference, Isaac!) but I won't be holding my breath.  More than likely, they'll release it at the end of January.  But, hey, at least they won't release it after the game comes out...coughME2cough...

I have ME1 and ME2 holding me at the moment.  But, once that demo comes out, I'll be playing the **** out of it, until ME3 is released, lol.  Must...See...Kaidan...

You don't have to have xbox live to play ME2. You need it to access the Cerberus Network, but not to play the actual game.
