If I'm not mistaken, I think you need to have xbox live to play ME3.  At least I know you need to have it for ME2...it won't let me play the game otherwise, unlike ME1 when I can play whether I'm online or not.

As for the 15th, not to be a debbie downer (thanks for that reference, Isaac!) but I won't be holding my breath.  More than likely, they'll release it at the end of January.  But, hey, at least they won't release it after the game comes out...coughME2cough...

I have ME1 and ME2 holding me at the moment.  But, once that demo comes out, I'll be playing the **** out of it, until ME3 is released, lol.  Must...See...Kaidan...

No you don't need X-box live to play ME 2, the only reason you would need X-box live for ME 3 is the mutliplayer and for DLC.

You don't have to have xbox live to play ME2. You need it to access the Cerberus Network, but not to play the actual game.

What?  Seriously?  Every time I try to play offline, it tells me that I can't play because I have downloadable content that can't be accessed and it won't let me connect.  After it happened a few times, I just assumed that I couldn't play while I was offline.

Oh well, no matter.  I'm definitely renewing my xbox live in March 'cause I'm so anxious to play multiplayer with you guys.

My 360 does that to me too when my internet is out. It gives me a "Data corrupted" error on the DLC content but I can still play the game.

I don't have x-box live anymore, and I have no problem playing ME 2. It use to do that when my x-box live disconnet, but not anymore.

 Hey guys, I have a question! Does opening Grunt's tank count as a mission? Because I got the Horizon letter just after opening the tank...
Here's what happens. Grunt's the last crewmember to be recruited before Horizon, so I run over, get the tank, and then am told that TIM wants a chat. He tells me there's a Kaidan hidden on Horizon, so off I run to go rescue him from the evil collectors. Blah blah blah, fighting and arguing happens, and then I go back to Normandy SR2. I chill out for a bit, talk to people, then remember I haven't opened Grunt's tank yet. I go open it, finish recruiting him, and then Kelly tells me I've got a message, namely the Horizon message.
I didn't leave the SR2 or anything, literally just talked with people and opened the tank. I thought you had to do a proper mission though? IDK. At least now I don't have to wait :3

Hey didn't someone(and I thought it was you) on here post a tweet where someone said something about us getting to find out about why the VS wouldn't come with us on Horizon? I don't remember seeing anything like that in the leak if it's true...maybe that's something they've added to the script we know nothing about.

@Truby-Liz  That's the first time I've heard that one...guess I'll try that out when I play my renegade.

I assume it counts since you get a "quest completed" check mark.  And you only have to do a quest not a mission to get the Horizon letter.

Ah, that might make sense. It just surprised me because I checked my inbox, marked everything as read and then realised I'd accidentally marked the Horizon letter as read... >.<

Opening the tank is the other half of the Warlord mission.
