In that pic, Kaidan looks like Kaidan....only just more handsome and awesome than before.

And hell yeah, I totally support the catsuits option for Kaidan and ManShep!!!!! :wizard:

"Armor for Ashley; Katsuit for Kaidan."

... is what I'd put on a banner, but I fail at banners.

... Good thing for him, I guess.

Only real problem I have is the armor.  It seems too bulky for someone who has to make "casting" movements for the biotics.

Adepts wore bulky armour in ME2 too and Kaidan's a Sentinel. I think both armour designs are fine, even though I'm more partial to the default one.

I love both the default and alternate. I think I like the alternate even more (there's something about the color-palette that looks a bit retro that really speaks to me) but the default one is amazing too, blue color suits Kaidan so well!

in terms of 'caster' practicality it's actually just the alternate appearance outfit that troubles me; his normal Spectre armor looks like it would work, also on the screencaps of Kaidan replacing Shepard with the blue/white armor and the posed Kaidan in white-N7 armor ... those all looked pretty good and I didn't really feel like Shepard's armor was too bulky to cast biotics in ME2 - it was bulkier than ME1's light armors for sure, but never too much imho

and the main complaint in regards to the caster aspect with the alt. outfit would be the chest plate. Not a huge fan of the entire alt. outfit though

I think the hair looks sort of strange...Would have been better if it had been a bit flatter on top :P
Except for that, he looks pretty darn good.

You nailed my thoughts exactly.  The alt armor also looks too similar to Vega's.  Kaidan's a Spectre now (allegedly), imo that evokes a lethality with flow.  Not really a walking tank, more of someone who controls without needing to be overpowering. YMMV.  :)

And the blue is a fantastic choice for Kaidan.

I loooove the new armor, he looks like a marine now. The light armor in ME1 looked like PJs with knee pads. And the catsuits for Miranda and Jacob, made them look like they were either over sexed or under. Like the Normandy was Shepard's own kink ship or something.

I never bought into the how casters needing light armor thing. Any game that I could get away with it my caster wore armor. Take that Tolkien style fantasy! Hell, technically biotics don't actually have to raise their arms to help them cast, it was just a technique to help them envision what they are doing. Kaidan could wear 40k Space Marine armor and still blast badies into bits.

He can were a tight fitting shirt when they are back on the Normandy.

But I prefer that perfect ass is nice and safe behind layers of nice solid armor.

guys, before we get on the mods' naughty list remember to snip pictures; I doubt it's necessary to quote the alt. outfit picture over and over ;)

basically I want the characters to wear something that suits them and their role.
I liked the light armor in ME1 (for males), though I sometimes thought they are *too* light to actually make sense, and if you looked around didn't all the Alliance peeps in armor wear at least medium if not heavy?
it's a pity there was no default alliance armor ... the soldiers on the Normandy looked different than the ones on ... where you fight the Rachni and can hook the Mako to the cannons and different than what you see of Admiral Kahoku's troops.

and on the note of using the arm movements to help with biotics, I really hope Singularity gets the movement from ME1 back, that felt like it had punch to it :D

I really hope Wrex is a squad mate again haha Kaidan and Wrex were my A-Team, they were my first Ally achievements in ME1, really missed them when I did the other Ally achievements, and then missed them in ME2... I NEED Wrex and Kaidan in the same Squad again!! :D

if Growl is a reference to Pokemon it eludes me, sorry

I'll probably have to do "Kaidan used ..." for tomorrow's daily sketch
and I have something in mind, but I'm open to more suggestions as well ;)

Heheh, yeah it is. Growl is a non-damaging move that decreases the opponent's attack. Rawr.
...I definitely played too much Pokemon Yellow as a kid.

That Kaidan redesign is really swell! Well, anything beats the Phoenix armour to me.
Someone say tight-fitting t-shirts? Wh-
*has flashbacks to ME1*

About Ashley's and Kaidan's choice of armour: I fully understand if second - and, for some Shepards, the only - human SpeCTRe would wear the heaviest armour and thickest shields possible. Otherwise one lucky shot from some batarian sniper and Alliance have a big disgrace. From my understanding of difference between Medium and Heavy armour, Heavy has massive shoulder pads and chest plating (human ME1 Colossus) so Kaidan's new armour is indeed heavy. Well, Ashley... I only hope this is casual outfit, not armour at all.
About what Vega is wearing if Kaidan's armour is heaviest possible... my personal theory that it's the lacking armour of Hammerhead:innocent:

^ That'd certainly explain where all the armour that thing should have had went to. Still want his boots though.

Same here! My soldier Shep never went anywhere without Kaidan and Wrex  The elevator conversations between the two were fantastic. Not seeing it happening unfortunately, Wrex is far too busy trying to get some booty.

@WhoKnew  One can never play too much pokemon. Never.

And Criz-Zone, I've been forgetting to say this but, those drawings are breathtakingly cute and you should feel awesome for them! Thank you so much for sharing them. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/heart.png[/smilie]

@SomethingSomeI thoroughly agree! Playing a Pokemon game on my Gameboy "Color" (I was always perplexed by the absent "u", must have been a prissy kid, haha) was the first time I ever stayed up all night playing a game. *whistles* My mam was mad.

And thoroughly second the Criz-Zone drawing comment! Of course I expect to see a "Kaidan used Growl..." one. Heheh, kidding.

Hai gaiz! Fellow Kaidan fangirl saying hello!

Guess I'll jump into convo. I like the Kaidan makeover. Looks waaaay hot, and I don't even care about his armor his head looks great D: I'm loving the spiky look he's sporting with the little bit of scruff.... *swoons*

*hijacks thread* I have a lot of thinking time when I work, and I got a weird thought today. It would be funny if there was a sidequest to save a doctor (from God only know what), and when you save her it was the doctor he was seeing to get over you... *flees*

That would be interesting! Who wants to place bets that it would be Dr. Michel?  She can't keep out of trouble.

but seriously who didn't think it was Doc Michel when Kaidan mentioned the doctor
sure there are many docotrs on the Citadel, but she's the only one we know, so naturally we think it's her

and despite spanning the galaxy, the ME-verse sometimes is remarkably small* ... but that's the way we want it right ;)

*like ... the worlds a village and everyone knows everybody
