I really like the difference in emotion between the Kaidan letter and Ashley's. I imagined Kaidan as the more emotional one. Lovely thing for the two actors to do.

Please forgive this helpless girl:blush:) and first of all I want to state my absolute love for our favorite major (now Spectre!) Kaidan. :wub:Really hope to see him having a HUGE Role in ME3 after the desert of ME2! ( Also with mShep because this crazy girl find them totally HOT!<3 And it happens that I have a save with one chaste mshep who is only waiting for this:bandit:)

Just a quick question, In Mass Effect when the council grounds the Normandy before Illos, does Kaidan ever come to console maleshepard? Or is it always Liara or Ashley?

It's only the LI who does. In other case, Shep's there alone.

You could always use save edits (or the console) to mod the game and be able to romance him as mshep. Dialogue lines for mshep are dubbed by Mark while Kaidan's are the same of the fshep romance (done both;)). You only have to bear anyone calling your mshep "m'am" instead of "sir" but that's all( oh and the 2 seconds sex scene will have fshep but not the kiss!). The game recognise u as male ( in ur profile or if u import ur save in ME2)

Don't forget we have the demo which hopefully will have Kaidan in it soon!!!! So we might get to see him before March. Nothing wrong with obsession over Kaidan's armor cause he loooks HOT:wub: I just hope they kept that nice rear end with some of his clothes/armor.

Seriously though using the same armor for all three characters made it look like they were just afterthoughts in the game and they didn't really care about them...and it was only compounded by the fact that the VS only got 5 minutes of dialog in the game. Same thing with the email...they could have done so much more with it but they didn't really care to bother. It's wonderful to get them back in ME3 but I won't forget the slight in ME2.

I am glad that the VS has a more permament role than other characters in ME3. I keep seeing comment's from other bsn'ers who are annoyed upset about their chosen LI has a smaller role in ME3 but it's like that's how the VS fans felt in ME2, so I feel for them completely. I would hate if Kaidan got a small role yet again.

I think Bioware just made too many wonderful characters.

I think Bioware just made too many wonderful characters.

They should have made a smaller squad for ME2...for me personally there were way too many characters...once you recruited one and did their loyalty quest they became long forgotten as you moved up the list of squadmates. I felt entirely overwhelemed...In the end I just stuck with getting to know a few and didn't really bother much with the rest. I'm thankful that the ME3 squad is smaller this time around but it does look like the ME2 squad kinda got the shaft...still not as bad as the bleeping cameo we got in ME2 though.

Yeah, the squad in ME2 was ridiculously huge.  There's just no way they could juggle everyone in ME3.  Plus, with the possible SM deaths...
Honestly, considering those variables, I'm glad BW chose to find a way to keep Kaidan alive through ME2, so that we can see lots of him in 3.  I wish he'd gotten his own DLC *cough*Liara*cough*, but I'm just glad he'll be there at the end of Shepard's story.

I wonder perhaps if Bioware thought people would only attach themselves to a few? They probably thought of all these awesome characters and couldnt decided who not to include?

I also found that having to go and talk to all of them so time-consuming. <_<

I generally like most of them, I have my favourites but I do prefer the ME1 squad. I just kinda got annoyed with how ME2 focused on sorting out the characters problems rather than the whole reaper threat, but thats not Kaidan related.

This time next week it'll be 2 months to go, which is kinda awesome!

They really didn't have to keep Kaidan for ME3 by keeping him from the suicide mission in ME2...seems as though some of these characters have 'plot armor' and no matter what never die. Joker could not be killed in ME2...they could have found a way to have Kaidan on the ship...they could have found a way for us to visit him like the Liara fans could visit Liara...they could have 'yes' as you mentioned given us a dlc. But he and Ash were utterly ignored. It's time they both got some attention and thankfully now they will:D

Oh, I totally agree things could've been done better.  The Kaidanless existence in ME2 was a huge, disappointment, but things could be worse. It seems like a lot of the ME2 squad isn't going to be getting much screen time.  I mean, I know they're all coming back, but not in as meaningful a way/as large a roll as the VS, for example.
What can I say?  I'm a glass half full kind of girl.

Yep. Got really close only to Miranda and Thane on first, Mordin on second... and in crowning moment of "get all the dialogues and try majority of powers combination" I've counted my saves and found 19. Oops;)


Random idea: since Ashley and Kaidan both present in game, have different models, powers and dialogues (not like Samara / Morinth with "Samara is Morinth" flag), maybe second SpeCTRe might be added manually in squad via save editing and disabled before moments which may cause crashes (picking squad for missions, visiting them on Normandy)...

@mineralica 19 saves is still beyond my comprehension...I can't imagine the amount of mining you had to do:blink:I would have went cuckoo for cocoa puffs mad.
