...suddenly, this explains why I made pancakes this morning.

See! It's all connected.

Criz-Zone wrote...

huh?!
I just meant that the recipe that Hanna invented/altered probably makes pancakes that have a bit more calories than they usually do
personally I like them thin, though not as thin as ... crepes (sp?)

and I probably read too much into it, but I want 'my' Shepard to have some personality ... I don't bother to put that much thought into 'test' Shepards
also, my Shepard is a biotic* and depending on the moral alignment either an Adept (paragon/paragade) or a Vanguard (renegon/renegade), so the morality is also reflected in his use of biotics

*I think basically all Shepards are biotics, but it's up to you to choose a biotic class - would explain why everyone can get biotic bonus powers, too

anyway, Kaidan ... erm ... can't think of anything right now ... looks good, can't wait to see him in action in some trailer or screenshot ... hear my plea BioWare

I am jealous of all the pancake-y goodness. Where I'm at, we don't really eat 'em at all, never mind for breakfast. My shep's an Adept, I always imagine she'd have to pig out on carbohydrates just to get by without hunger pangs in the middle of battle. Pancakes can count as carbohydrates, surely.
I'm mentally trying to build a party up from the squad members we have confirmed for ME3...gonna definitely drag Kaidan everywhere with me.

My main Shepard's (Vanguard) cooking is so "wonderful" that may easily cause that looks from pancakes pic. However, as Spacer with both parents more soldiers than child-raising types she's good at eating everything possible and honestly can't understand why everyone is upset about Rupert's cooking.

In ME1 listening to Kaidan and Ashley about their childhood and favourite food made her rather sad about not having proper... sitting with friends and eating food made by herself, so she decided to organise a party after stopping Saren. Which was cut short first by death of Ashley, then by "war" with Geth and destruction of Normandy. "We stopped the Collectors!" party was soured by Arrival and, possibly, incoming ME3. Maybe with 3rd game she'll be luckier?

unless BioWare kills off your LI ...
if they make the prediction of "everyone you know and love will die" true, I might finally have to go to Canada with torches and pitchforks in the baggage
part of me would apprechiate the emotional turmoil that comes from 'winning at a price', but ... but ... you can't kill Kaidan :crying:

I wholeheartedly agree. I would swim across the Atlantic if they did that to us. :o
I'd prefer if it's ME2 style with the whole, "choose the right people to crawl through the vents, to escort the crew back etc and complete all their loyalty missions" thing. That was nerve-wracking in a good way, but I'd like to do some loyalty missions for returning ME1 squad mates to patch up relationships that were previously damaged by the events of ME2. *cough*Cerberus.

yupp that would be good, so after a few playthroughs or looking things up on the net you know what to do to get certain results ... or what effort you have to put in to get everyone through ... especially if it requires making different decisions in ME1 and ME2 as well ... sneaky BW to extend the lifespan of your products here

and the emotional impact is still there ... I had done all the loyalty missions and upgrades and thought I was on the safe side ... seriously though, someone working for the STG could have picked up some leadership skills, right ... RIGHT?! <_<
stupid old salamander just getting himself killed like this :crying:

and I'm looking forward to see how my 'empty galaxy' playthrough turns out ...
Normandy with only Shep, Joker, Kasumi and Morinth ... yay!fun times ahead

Seriously... whether it be Ashley or Kaidan that's alive in your playthrough... they shouldn't be involved in any other virmire type situations... I mean, we already had to kill one of them off... don't kill the other one!!! :(

That said... I would like to have situations where squadmates will and have to die.... just, you won't know it at the time and you get to choose who you send on that mission that goes wrong.

Hmm i'm trying to think of who i'll have as my ME3 squad, which is slightly difficult as we still don't know the full line up....
I'm thinking Jack and Kaidan for shep's who don't have much in the way of biotic skills, mainly to watch the difference between their two personalities
Kaidan and Kasumi would be awesome too, really hope she's returning.
Hmmm hmm will have to ponder some more!

My ME3 squad will probably be Kaidan/Liara or Kaidan/Miranda (if she's a permanent squadmate, of course).

Lilith. My favorite topic to delurk for.

Kaidan says in the email, "drinks with a doctor on the Citadel," and the fact that Delan the mechanic mentions Lilith seems to imply she is just a Horizon colonist. So I don't think Lilith is the typical guess for the doctor, but technically there's no reason why she couldn't have visited the Citadel. There is sometimes jealousy on the Lilith front, but not because of any connection to the Citadel doctor. Some people think people just go all fangirl/boy on her and get upset because she is in a scene with Kaidan. My excuse for my feelings on her (which I haven't put on this version of the Kaidan thread yet, so why not) are as follows...

I don’t have any jealousy of Lilith in the way that I think she’d stand a chance with an alive Shepard. And I am also glad that Kaidan would move on if Shepard stayed dead. But I do believe Lilith would be a candidate for Kaidan’s moving on if the Collectors hadn’t taken her and Shepard had stayed dead.

When I see Lilith and Kaidan together, I always see a Kaidan/Shepard parallel thing going on, but with Kaidan being in the role of Shepard. And some of it is Shenko specific, so I don't buy the argument that Kaidan and Lilith can't have anything just because Ashley and Lilith don't.

At the beginning, Kaidan talks about how the colonists are blaming him for everything. Lilith responds with, “People out here don’t trust the Alliance, it’s nothing personal.” Here the colonists have replaced the Council in the Shepard/Kaidan ME1 talks. Lilith hears Kaidan out, but then plays a level headed devil’s advocate when she brings up how “the comm systems are a priority.” This is a practical discussion between the two about work, and I see a respect and a reliance on each other there which, again, is in the same vein as the ME1 discussions Kaidan has with Shepard. He scoffs here, as well, which makes me think he has opened up to Lilith a little--which, as we know, is a big deal/step for Kaidan.

The fact that Lilith calls him Commander, and the fact that Lilith seems to be the only one around who actually treats him as a human (except this time for prejudices against the Alliance and instead of against biotics) are all little things that add up for me.

It ends with Kaidan shooting and telling everyone to run--which Lilith resists doing at first. This, of course, is like the Normandy going down. (There’s also a little bitter part of me that notes Kaidan gets frozen while helping her up, but that’s not really important.)

Anyway, the way the whole Horizon conversation is set up is reminiscent of ME1 to me. I don't think anything was going on between them yet, but I think an interest could have developed there if Shepard had stayed dead and Lilith stayed alive.

I feel like the doctor story was much like that story Kaidan told us about Rahna. She is mentioned only for Kaidan to make his point, to relay to Shepard that he was trying to take steps to move on from her. Really, I'll be surprised if we hear anything more about the Citadel Doctor expect for maybe a passing comment at the very most.

I doubt Lilith was the doctor he mentioned for several reasons, mostly because the exactly the same for Ashley and Kaidan with no hint of anything more between Kaidan and Lilith. But if that was the case, I would feel very sorry for Kaidan if Lilith was the Doctor he mentions. That would mean that every romantic relationship he has meets some kind of tragic end. First Rahna, Shepard, and then Lilith. But my point I guess is Kaidan's relationship with this Doctor is nothing more then what he said, just going out for drinks. Shepard the alien stomping, gun toting, Amazonian warrior woman has nothing to worry about when it comes to winning back the affections of Kaidan over some Doctor.

Also shameless self-promotion.
