Am I the only one horrified by photomanips? Particularly ones which feature heads that are turned too far and faces that appear to be either backwards or straining to be free of their bodily confines.

There are times I question coming to read certain threads because of the likelyhood of photomanips.ipgd wrote...

I second (third?) this. Some photomanips are not good to see before bedtime. *shudders*Neesee wrote...

They scare me so!
Also, looking forward to seeing Kaidan in ME3.

About 21-22 of July, as I've heard. And there'll be demo! Please, show someone other than Liara and Garrus:crying:Kia Purity wrote...

Ugh, I know. If I see the usual suspects posing dramatically once more, I swear to Cthulhu I will...not be happy.mineralica wrote...

And I have another reason to hate Kai Leng... the bastard changed my "canon" shortened version to "Kaid"... but not before several nasty misunderstandings I've experienced on forum <_<ashlover mark 2 wrote...

Not if Jho is doing it, surely?RinjiRenee wrote...
Photomanips creep me out a little, yeah. I'd rather just see fanart to be honest.

I like some photomanips, like Jho's. Others don't quite gel right and just look... odd. But then i'm the same with fanart, some people capture Kaidan perfectly, others i think don't look like him at all. Mind you i suppose i'm the same with fanfics..... I guess i'm just fussy.

Well done manips are nice to look at *points at Jhosephine's work*
If you're here to leave constructive criticism on someone's work, please do so without going all "WERID" on it. Maybe the author will use your hints to improve himself.
EDIT for below: Also ability to receive negative criticism is important...

My criticism for people doing photomanips for their video game characters is as follows:
As someone who appreciates photography, it makes me cringe. That's just how it is for me.

Lilith. My favorite topic to delurk for.
Kaidan says in the email, "drinks with a doctor on the Citadel," and the fact that Delan the mechanic mentions Lilith seems to imply she is just a Horizon colonist. So I don't think Lilith is the typical guess for the doctor, but technically there's no reason why she couldn't have visited the Citadel. There is sometimes jealousy on the Lilith front, but not because of any connection to the Citadel doctor. Some people think people just go all fangirl/boy on her and get upset because she is in a scene with Kaidan. My excuse for my feelings on her (which I haven't put on this version of the Kaidan thread yet, so why not) are as follows...
I don’t have any jealousy of Lilith in the way that I think she’d stand a chance with an alive Shepard. And I am also glad that Kaidan would move on if Shepard stayed dead. But I do believe Lilith would be a candidate for Kaidan’s moving on if the Collectors hadn’t taken her and Shepard had stayed dead.
When I see Lilith and Kaidan together, I always see a Kaidan/Shepard parallel thing going on, but with Kaidan being in the role of Shepard. And some of it is Shenko specific, so I don't buy the argument that Kaidan and Lilith can't have anything just because Ashley and Lilith don't.
At the beginning, Kaidan talks about how the colonists are blaming him for everything. Lilith responds with, “People out here don’t trust the Alliance, it’s nothing personal.” Here the colonists have replaced the Council in the Shepard/Kaidan ME1 talks. Lilith hears Kaidan out, but then plays a level headed devil’s advocate when she brings up how “the comm systems are a priority.” This is a practical discussion between the two about work, and I see a respect and a reliance on each other there which, again, is in the same vein as the ME1 discussions Kaidan has with Shepard. He scoffs here, as well, which makes me think he has opened up to Lilith a little--which, as we know, is a big deal/step for Kaidan.
The fact that Lilith calls him Commander, and the fact that Lilith seems to be the only one around who actually treats him as a human (except this time for prejudices against the Alliance and instead of against biotics) are all little things that add up for me.
It ends with Kaidan shooting and telling everyone to run--which Lilith resists doing at first. This, of course, is like the Normandy going down. (There’s also a little bitter part of me that notes Kaidan gets frozen while helping her up, but that’s not really important.)
Anyway, the way the whole Horizon conversation is set up is reminiscent of ME1 to me. I don't think anything was going on between them yet, but I think an interest could have developed there if Shepard had stayed dead and Lilith stayed alive.
