I doubt that any armor will be available for any squadmate. That would require extra modeling for at least two aliens, plus testing on clipping. Plus, "iconic looks".

I have opposite problem - I want female version of Kaidan's armor on femShep. Not Ashley's armor, but female version of Kaidan's - it has another chest plate (I strongly oppose "boobplates") and shoulder pads. But it seems modeling Kestrel armor to make it look like Kaidan's will be easier than model Ashley's

@Demo release date...well it hasn't offically been confirmed but at least I have a date. February 14th is 3 weeks from the release of the game so that does make sense except they should not say sooner than you think. I'm single so I guess Kaidan will be my date.
@KOA I felt it wasn't that bad but I will wait till a sale before buying it
@MP I don't mind playing MP as long as people are patient with me for the 1st hour till I adjust to the pace and what is going on around me. I've played MMO's (Shaiya) so I do have some experience. I was always high level mages. I mostly play Inflitrator in ME so that is my class.
I'm replaying ME1 and I finally made a playthrough that I killed the Rachni Queen and I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to kill Wrex cause I love him but I don't want all 3 of my playthroughs to be the same. What do you think? Do you think I should have at least one playthrough that he is dead? I love Wrex:( At the same time I need a game that isn't the same. I wanted Lily to be opposite of Lia my cannon.

I have one where Wrex is dead, because my first Shepard was an utter fail with no charm or intimidate (I didn't know anything about the persuade system the first time I played ME). I felt bad when I couldn't keep him alive, but now I'm glad I have one save with Wreav. It gives an entirely different feel to the Tuchanka missions and the Krogan's story. If you can stand to do it, I recommend it, just to see the different possibilites available with Wreav in ME3.

This is good information, I was planning on killing Wrex in the playthrough I just started, now I know it'll be worth it.

I imagine, since there probably will not be a decision selector for the demo, male Sheps will get Ashley and femSheps will get Kaidan. The GameInformer article had Kaidan with his femShep for the opening Earth part of the demo. I don't know why he would get to play a different demo from the one we will get.

I WILL have Kaidan for Valentine's Day.
Or I will trade in my CE pre-order of ME3 for Kingdoms of Amalur.

Is anyone else here feeling spoiled by BioWare with their voiced protagonists in recent RPGs? I really miss my character having an actual voice in other games. I'm pretty certain I love femShep all the more because of Jennifer Hale.

While I do like having Shep voiced, Hawke's caused more harm than good. The paraphrasing wasn't all that great, so half the time choosing an option I thought sounded good made me a jerk. That's when I gave up trying to be nice on DA2 and just went with whatever. I really loved how much control you got over the Warden, you could make them into practically any character. Voiced protagonists get rid of that freedom, but do add a sense of character as well.

So... I'm indifferent to voiced or not, as long as both options make for good characterization.

Honestly, I don't know why I follow Bioware on this site. All it does it make me pissed about how incompetent their marketing and communications skills are. First they can't give us any promised info about the demo in November. Then they refuse to tell us until mid January that they aren't going to release the demo in January like they said. Now I see that the Femshep trailer has no ETA. It's not like they've not had time since you know like six months ago!

God, Bioware I love your games. They are by far the best games I have ever played. But please stop being so stupid! Stop making promises and then not delivering on them! Stop refusing to tell customers what's going on until the last minute! Even in DA2 I was seeing this pattern.

I want to be a part of this community, but it just makes me so angry every time I see them doing stupid stuff like this.

I'm chosing to view it as the demo coming out on January 45th, that way it doesn't feel like a completely different month.  BW/EA have done a lot of things to annoy me since the release of DA2, but this one I can deal with.
Not having any plans for Valentine's day may turn out to be a good thing this year.

Until then, I've found that moving the mouse and clicking the buttons while watching the leaked beta gives the illusion of playing the game. Yes, I am getting that desperate.
Also, I just found a leaked beta vid from the beginning of ME3 that I hadn't seen before. It was pretty darn awesome.

@ yoshibb I agree that BW hasn't  exactly handled this in the best way. But at least now we know when it's coming out.

However, I think the whole cross promotion with KOA is pointless. Also I think it is ridiculous we had to wait because of the whole Kinect thing. I don't have one and I am sure a whole lot of others don't either. Plus I am not gonna buy one just for this game. They should have just released the demo and then released the full game with kinect support. I mean when we play the demo it isn't even gonna be carried over into the actual game, we will have to start from scratch.
But I guess we should be happy :Dwe will finally get to see Kaidan:wub: and the rest of the crew. Now I am just wondering if the femshep trailer will ever see the light of day. But I am not holding my breath since BW hasn't been able to keep promises lately. I am actually getting less excited because of all the broken promises. Love their games but there is something broken that needs to be fixed (communication).

Yeah, it felt like something was missing in KoA.  I've gotten used to the voiced protagonist.  When they announced it for DA2, I thought I was going to hate it, but I really liked that feature in the end.  Jennifer Hale makes femshep.  I have guy friends who strongly believe that Shepard is female because of her work.  They don't even mess with Sheploo any more.

I'm a little annoyed, too.  I mean, I seriously thought that when the demo announcement finally came it would be for Jan 31.  I don't mind the waiting, really, but it's super annoying to be given misinformation.

This, however, will not taint my enjoyment of Kaidan in anyway.  I want to believe he'll be in the demo, since the GI author got him when he played femShep (and not even a picture, ugh), but I really don't want to be disappointed again if that turns out to be fun.

I feel greedy.  I'll just be happy I get a little sample of ME3 before March.
