Voiced protagonist severely throws me off balance. All player's characters are supposed to be unique and defined by player, so with pre-recorded voices and severely restricted number of lines as a consequence, more - with pre-recorded lines which were read in neutral expression, chances that tone or wording will be out of character is very high. "It's been a long time, Kaidan", I'm looking at you.


BioWare marketing? It seems that I stopped to be angry since multiplayer announcement. Now it's... how it will be in English, quizzical eyebrow?

In general I prefer to be pleasantly surprised to get all excited about news and than get disappointed. I think the most impacting event in ME3 marketing was when I opened the site to check news and ran straight into "Kaidan-Shepard-Liara" "screenshot". Rather minor thing won because it was unexpected and surprising. Now let's think about Kaidan appearing in demo - the fact that demo was delayed and the fact that demo was discussed to death and apparently doesn't contain new levels really kills positive impact. I think that if it would be told that demo is released tomorrow and suddenly at start of demo we would see completely new level with Kaidan in it, I would need a new roof.

OMG I admire you.. i cant wait another second, i have no games to play, nothing to occupy my time AT ALL! Im losing it here! I really dont know what to do with myself.. honestly.. i would buy a new game but dont have the cash for that.. Nothing on TV i want to watch, the only shows i watch are True Blood, Dexter, and Game of Thrones, and all those seasons are done.. its really cruel i must say... cant think of anything to do lol!

Yes! See my problem is i want to make a new femshep, i do.. and ME1 is a blast but than i gotta do ME2 and that feels like SUCH a chore lol

Yep lol, ME2 does feel like a forced chore,darn it! I wish it was February already! I know the demo would hold me over for a while.at least it's coming out the day after my birthday xD

i am so confused... from what i hear our squadmates in me3 will be everyone from me1 with the exception of wrex and the addition of james vega does this mean everyone is a same sex option ?

No they've still not said who will be the same sex options. There will also be a few of the me2 squaddies returning too. Also they are adding a new crew to the normandy and its looking like 1 or 2 of those may be romance options too, so its still anyones guess as to who will be the same sex options, well apart from Liara ofc


*edit* slightly off subject, but do you think my bf would mind me asking for the DDE of me3 for my birthday? Theres like a month between it and the release date lol. I was thinking of trying really big puppy dog eyes

I'll admit, you have an excellent point there.  Or how about, "I'm more interested in just talking for a bit."  So pervy.
I was obviously so traumatized by these instances that I completely repressed the memories.  Overall though, I do really enjoy Jennifer Hale's voice acting, and I still enjoy voiced protagonists more that I had expected I would.  It feels like it's supposed to be there now.

Also for me ME1 is the "chore" game now. I did all the mako stuff. Got all the writings, etc. (i really hope those collection missions show up in ME3...some kinda way). I even got to sum planet w/ a dinosaur head on it....?

I don't wanna do either game anymore right now. I checked in on my Shep the other day. I left her standing in the Captain's cabin by her comp.

Oh! I've missed her. I felt so at home as soon as I fired up the game. I didn't do anything, tho. I fed the fish since I was there. Said hello to space hamster. Chatted up Legion, then went back to cabin...annnnd save. Turn off.

I'm saving Arrival for sumtime in late feb. mar. 1 to play.

I dunno if I'm gonna play the demo. I kinda wanna experience it fresh w/my Shepard.

And i just lost the remaining bits of respect for myself - all i wanted to do was tinker and maybe improve a bit my face codes aaand... here i am, with Shepard Number Seven... im so so hopeless ;_; But how can i let it go now when i'm at Omega after Mordin with Garrus and Grunt and and they get so frustrated and adorable when they cough? Seriously, howwww? Not to mention that it's the first time i'm playing as vanguard and charging krogans is so FUN :<

I prefer the voiced protaganists as well.  As much as I loved KotOR and DA:O I hated that my person would stand there emotionless looking or nodding or showing the back of their head all the time.  To me DA2 and ME rock!  But as you said, to each their own  :happy:

It's no good, I just started another playthrough... and while she looked ok in the character builder, this shep looks a bit like a googly-eyed elf. First time I played through I ended up choosing a nose I wasn't happy with because I didn't know I could rotate while in the character designer. I thought about fixing her for ME2 but I couldn't bear to change a thing - she's imperfect and perfect at the same time. Hoping I'll grow to love the elf lady too!

Oh and I totally agree on that one line "I'm more interested in just talking for a bit" - that's one reason why I almost never talked to Jacob for fear of the accidental romance and potential loss of faithfulness to Kaidan!

A fair bit of both. The Warden can be one of the biggest smartarses in virus game history if one so pleases.
