[Kaidan Fan]

Ok, as far as age goes, I'm old enough that I had a commodore 64 thingie that you hooked up to your tv and played, that came BEFORE atari (which I also had, lol).  I hung out in all the arcades while growing up and had a blast!

I went to Game Stop today and they had a Mass Effect 3 display set up, I asked them if I could have it when the game came out and they said yes, no else had asked for it ...SCORE!!!!

Also, trying again with the pics of Arisyn, lol!

Thanks so much for the welcome. I've been lurking for months but I didn't know enough about ME1 to actually add anything. I adore Kaidan though. And Ashley. Gosh, Virmire was so tough for me. Here's to hoping I have the will power to let her survive once. I am curious about Vega though so that might help. And sorry if this format messes up. On my phone at work. (Shame on me) lol

Have I missed something, or am I right in thinking that the only announced, permanent squadmate who hasn't been seen in *ingame* screenshots is Kaidan?

I'm getting a little annoyed at this point.

How do you think he is going to handle a triangle with Thane. I just don't see Kaidan as the kind of person to say something mean to a dying man/drell. I'm wondering what kind of sarcastic saying he will say to shep about Thane. I don't know I just don't know how he is going to react to you cheating on him with someone who is dying.

Also those who are romancing just Thane I wonder how Kaidan will approach that because he will want to be with Shepard of course. Out of all the romance options and triangles, Thane's vs Kaidan I'm the most curious about due to the fact that Thane of course is dying.

Edit: Also wanted to say hi to all the new faces!! I can't keep up everytime I come back I have like 5 pages to read with new faces. So hi!!

I shudder imagining Kaidan and Garrus's "I trusted you" exchange.   That might ruin any friendship they ever had, (not that they ever talked to each other). I do hope ME3 has more NPC interactions: party banter is ever so much fun.

concidering that when you first meet Garrus, Kaidan calls him officer Vakarian, but onHorizon, normaly formal Shepard refers to him as Garrus, by first name? even while calling unromanced Shepard the formal commander?

I think they were friends. maybe not the closest friends, but definitely friends

as for exchanges between LI's? if Kaidan remains in character, they will be polite, formal and distant. with Shepard? maybe slightly wistful, but mostly polite and impersonal. IF he remains in character.

fighting each other over Shepard? not the Kaidan we met in ME1. or even in ME2.

even in confrontation with Liara, he's polite towards her, he's only upset at Shepard for stringing them both along.

i think that had more to do with the lack of surnames in ME2. They were there but they weren't flaunted, for example you do get them on the squad selection screen anymore. so people beginning on ME2 wouldn't necessarily know who "Vakarian" was, and experience something of a 'uhgh?' moment.

I know what you mean about the formal and distant, jewel, but gimme some PASSION Kaidan! A huge angry rant would be out of character, but I think if he lost his control just for a sentence I would SQUEEE with joy. I want to see him angry (even though I'd feel so mean afterwards)

Haven't seen Kaidan at all<_< This is getting really stupid. Can't we have at least something? I'm so tempted to start tweeting Casey. Not that would help at all.

I still have my Atari 65XE in the basement, same era as the C64, which isn't quite as old as the Atari 2600 console (with plug in game cartridges) that I also have in the basement, which, shockingly, still works! I was able to MacGuyver a power supply for it a couple of weekends ago and was thrilled to be once again playing the original Centipede...  (I moved from the UK to US, all my old power supplies had to be replaced, I missed the fact that one of my old PC power supplies wasn't a switching power supply and blew it up in a most dramatic way)

Around the same age as Kaidan will be in ME3 is about right


And on a completely different note, currently enjoying having Wrex and Kaidan as my squaddies for my Infiltrator shep, I miss Garrus, but the Kaidan-Wrex combo rocks. Kaidan still keeps getting blown up within the first few seconds of an encounter, poor guy, I have to keep reviving him and hope I pick up better armor.

there are no last names on squad selection on mouse over, but they still are when you select the elevators, and if I remember correctly - its mentioned at least in some of the pertinent conversations.

so I still beleive that first name basis  between original cast denotes the closeness the team developed over the course of ME1.

as for passion - Kaidan has passion.  he shows it at times, he shows it to femshep in private moments or when pushed to the brink, but he is also a mature man and he wouldn't have only gotten more seasoned over the years and with all the promotions, and it would ****** me off like you woudln't beleive if they give him outbursts for the sake of dramaz, despite them not being in character. and he might confront Shepard for leading him on, but he woudln't fight the other man(or woman) for her.  at least not the Kaidan we know so far.

Thane is far too self posessed and controlled to do any of that either, in fact - you only have to see Thane, Garrus and Jacob's reactions to triangles in ME2 to see how they would react (or Kaidna in ME1 for that matter)

and honestly, i'll just come out and say it.  I find the whole "I want them to fight for me" - juvenile.  sorry.  but I do.

It was some cube stand up thing with a 3-D John Shepard on both sides and had the Reapers over Earth behind it, very cool looking!  I will be reminding them weekly that it is MINE!

Also I just rewatched the GTTV episode thoroughly making sure I didn't miss anything this time around and I didn't see any glimpse of Kaidan, I know someone said they saw his leg but I seriously can't find it. Did anyone else find it or have a screenshot to share of it?

I just saw that tweet and nicely replied how cool that is and anyway or chance can we get an ingame shot. It's a long shot but might aswell ask.

Also the leg thing was just from the DLC armour shot

We've seen the major squad now save from Kaidan...it's annoying
