Welcome Silver! I'm a latecomer to ME as well, I got the game with my Xbox 2 years ago and I kept getting lost on Eden Prime and giving up, it was only recently that I tried playing again and when I saw Kaidan's smile after Shepard tells him the Beacon thing wasn't his fault OMG I was hooked after that.  The Horizon incident sucked and I see a lot of people on this forum turned against Kaidan after that, but I forgive him because the poor guy thought his girlfriend was dead for 2 years, that kinda thing would change a person you know? Here's hoping for a passionate reunion in ME3! <3

I actually think Kaidan will be in the demo if you play as FemShep. That's how it worked for ME2, so I don't see why they would change it now...

Yes I did also get lost all the time on  Eden prime i nthe beginning, that amde me crazy and i also were never able to find all those bombs in time until a friend told me where they were.

I did not turn agaisnt Kaidan after Horizon either I see he ahd his reasons for beeing angry and she stayed faithful to him in Me 2. now i just hope there wil lbe that awesoem reward they said a long time back that there would be.

If he's matured and become a leader then surely Kaidan (and Ashley too) deserve their own comic / graphic novel / book / interactive game to explain how they have accomplished that. Jacob had Galaxy, there are stories of the background of TIM and stories for Anderson and Liara. While I'm enjoying the Invasion series so far, there is a definite gap in the storyline. How has Kaidan matured to this point, what's he been up to for the past 2+ years? Promotions happen as a result of actions, so let's hear about those actions! While I imagine some of it will be covered in ME3 we'll likely only get a passing summary in a couple of dialog interactions (though we can hope for more!)

As much as I would love for it to happen, I'd be really surprised if it did.  We got Jacob, Liara, TIM, etc. story because those things happened in the ME universe.  Those characters' stories necessarily took place before/between the events of the games.  We'll never get a comic book for Kaidan for anything post Virmire, because there is the possibility that he wasn't the VS.  They'll never put out anything that could explicitly contradict the in-game universe.  I guess there could be a Kaidan/Ashley back story some time.  I'm sure they'll do a good job of covering what the VS was up to during those 2 years Shep was dead in-game.

And I think that's how it'll play out.  I think BW will play up the drama, and maybe drag out any reunion until the last mission.  They want to give you the option of being indecisive and getting to know squadmates, see what LIs have to offer before you have to make a decision.  Of course my cannon Shep is loyal, so there will be no jealousy issues for her, but thinking back to DA2 (or even the ME1 Liara triangle) I can see it getting played up.  I hope it's not overboard.  I guess there might be an option to tell Kaidan from the beginning that you've moved on, but that might limit dialogue options later.  idk...

Edit: Wow, that's kindof a grumpy post.  I must be hungry or something.
Here's a Kaidan to make up for it.  This page need one anyways.

@About Kaidan and remarks to new LI's-if you did LOTSB if you romanced someone Liara(romanced) has just a side smart ass comment but that is it. I can see like that sort of thing then move on. Which it was aimed toward Shepard about new LI. I just don't see Kaidan as the kinda man who would be rude to anyone. I'm going to watch the videos on youtube before for I import my Kaidan/Thane playthrough. If there is too much drama I will not be playing that one. Call me chicken but I don't want too much chaos. We already have enough tension when it comes to rekindling the romance.

Sorry if any of that sounded confusing or strange. I just got done shoveling tons of really heavy snow:sick:

Definitely true.  I think Chris only replies to the threads in the general discussion forum, though, and he'd probably notice more if we had a thread there. I mean, if they don't read this thread then they might just think we're super content waiting for Kaidan ME3 screenshots or something. haha

We are 2nd I believe which is pretty damn good.

But whenever someone brings that up, there's always someone else who accuses (that doesn't look like it's spelled correctly) us of spamming posts/duplicate accounts and other artificial means.

Same with the polls, since Kaidan is in the lead A LOT. 

It's hard for people to wrap their heads around the fact that Kaidan has a pretty active and strong fanbase.

I just saw Jon Seda in The Pacific and couldn't help but notice similarities between him and Kaidan (minus the accent). Does anyone else wonder if Kaidan will make it into the alleged ME movie?

Really? He has a pretty active following on tumblr, LJ, and DA, but I'm you probably are right since I'm guessing that there's probably a lot of overlap between the websites. Reddit has a few people who support him as well -- or at least don't cast him off as whiney and boring. Ash gets a lot of bad rap too on several websites as well. I think he's a lot more popular than Jacob though...

Still doesn't mean we don't deserve any in game screenshots of him though

could work. He has a certain "mixed origins" flair to him and looks like a genuinely nice guy. I still think Wentworth Miller has some features of him, yet again he mostly looks grumpy.


I can see this working though.
