I like all the different language videos but I always liked listening to different languages. Nice to hear another language besides English. The other language I hear the most is Spanish. Leborum kudos to you girl!!!! I haven't gone in there for a while. I've been in the femshep trailer thread waaay too much today. Yay for all of us Kaidanites sticking together!

Yeah, still can't stop giggling about it. Me and my bf spent 4 hours playing PL PC version, after that we gave up, looking for a way to turn on the original dubbing.

Seriously. The only decent voice in PL was the older looter guy in Mordin's mission.

Listening to the different VAs is trippy. Thank goodness for Raphael Sbarge. Speaking of him, I wonder if we will get to hear anymore from him before ME3 releases? I miss hearing his blog updates, although I'm sure most of his energy and focus is on OUAT.

German dubbers also have the nasty habit of changing names to their liking...

Antiva is in DA: O sometimes referred to as "Calabria" (I have NO idea where that comes from) and Queen Rowans name is occasionally Gwendolyn. /ohwell.

Translation is also mostly horrible. In the novel they had Loghain making sexual innuendo... in about the last warcouncil before a major attack.

Disturbing.

It's amazing how bad things are still. I was looking up the reviews for Haywire last night and I couldn't get past all the sexist comments about how the movie is stupid because a woman couldn't beat a man. Trained males ALWAYS beat trained females and this girl should get back into the kitchen.

There are way too many of this kind of man still out there in the world and it disgusts me.

I consider it really special that Bioware is reaching out to those who play female characters, by having a FemShep trailer and putting FemShep in the demo.  I realize they don't *have to*, and they'll probably get most of our money anyway.  So the haters should probably just stuff it.

Now if we could just get male human LIs in Bioware advertising (see the minimizing of Alistair and Anders in the DA:O and DA2 marketing campaigns, despite the fact that they were central to the stories of each game)...

So quick poll - when you all read fan fiction, do you like for it to build up to the good parts, or do you just skip all of that and get straight to the part you're anticipating?  I'm the type of person that like's good build up, but other people might think that's unnecessary rubbish and just want to get to the meat of it.

That thread is seriously terrible. People are using "feminist" as an insult. And the whole thing is absurd... 

I agree with the LI part! Alistair and Anders were probably THE most important to the story characters in the game (in my opinion) and neither of them were marketed much. Interesting.

I agree with the LI part! Alistair and Anders were probably THE most important to the story characters in the game (in my opinion) and neither of them were marketed much. Interesting.

Alistair was definitely the second most important person in DA:O, and I'd peg Anders as third (behind Varric). But Anders was a male LI, too...
Kaidan is probably the most important person to ME3 behind Shepard, and maybe Liara, yet he's been shafted as far as everything goes. At least Ashley's getting some attention.

Oh god. My femshep trailer thread has derailed into sexist complaining about women. I already contacted a mod to close the damn thing because there is farrrrrr too much flaming going on. It's counterproductive. So it'll only take time I guess until they get around to closing it. I'm surprised mods haven't stepped in yet. I needed my kaidanites. This is my only safe haven on the forum O.O

Perks of the femshep trailer thread is a few femshep fan made vids were linked. I watched one earlier with a whole bit with kaidan. It made my little heart warm. I hadn't really looked for fanmade vids of him. Are there any decent ones that anyone in here can links mes?

There are mllions  of Shenko vids out there, but this one is my personal favorite: The Scientist - KAAS.
Also, there's Mass Effect: To Die For (Kaidan/fem!Shepard) or Shepard's Story (this one is from aislinntrista24 and her vids are totally awesome).

Ok I'm bored. You guys and gals want to help me play a game of Mass Effect 2? We can call it the Official Kaidan thread playthrough or something.

I'll start a game of ME2 and when I reach a semi big decision, I'll ask you guys to pick the answer. Then I will pick the first person to answer in this thread. I can post pictures throughout too if you want.

I'd do this with Mass Effect but I've played that to death. Might as well try to make ME2 more interesting. My character of course romanced Kaidan so you don't have to worry about that.
