I never liked the bump. He looks more aged and bold now. He looks like Clarke from Dead Space. Pretty cool. Better then the Miranda ripoff Ashley became.

I have a question. Do we know Kaidan's military code? like shep is N7 and I think I read on the wikia Ash's is B4.

Not about my smexy canon.
Anyway how do you think he will react if you cheated him?

Shepard has to be Earthborn of course.

I hope he isn't too upset -- that e-mail he sends is pretty much a kindly-worded break-up letter. At any rate, he's unsure about continuing his relationship with Shepard -- which pretty much takes away that whole pesky "cheating" definition.

I have one too: If Shepard is a biotic, that must mean they were both in Singapore, where the first Eezo accident occured. Shepard as a child and Kaidan in the womb. Pretty cool fact.
I thought Kaidan was 3 years older than shepard. well at least if you have a mindoir shep. could be that the others can be older. (attack on mindoir takes place at age 16 of shep, talitha was a slave for 13 years, so mindoir-shep is 29, kaidan 32)
Edit: just read your edit. yeah okay. I should have thought this through *cough* never mind me ^^°

I know Kaidan doesn't have much love. Poor guy...
Everytime I talked to Assley I only did it for the story. Iwas "skip, skip, skip". I always looked forward to chatting with Kaidan. His very wise for his age. I enjoy intellectual discussions, not just chats about "me me me me me me!".
I couldn't let the poor guy get fried.
I'm sure you'll be rewarded in ME 3 for that

Well it makes no sense then! My Shepard is Earthborn, so there is no way he could have become a biotic in Earth alone since the first accident happened there! WTF

So it makes no sense? Okay then....
I meant I don't have an earth-born shepard and didn't figure the age difference would be there. My point was that I thought Kaidan was older than Shepard because he has statements like "I haven't served this long without coming to terms with myself", - where he sounds like the older marine, even if he's lower in rank - or the likes. my point was not that shepard couldn't have been on earth and in singapore.

I do get your point - you do not want any apologies and think that Kaiden was right. Good for you.
The problem is - I have different opinion and feelings about the matter, and no amount of forum posts is going to change the way I feel about the character, which is - angry. I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel the way you do, but there is although plenty of angry fans. It's a fact of live, and no, you can't tell them how to feel either - it does not work like that.
Sure Bioware can tell us to suck it up, but would that make the audience happy with the game or the character? No. Sucking it up does not do for a good game writing.
In order for it to be good they have to address all eventualities, and deal with the facts, not "should have been" and "we thought you'd feel". If they live the issue unresolved Kaiden will just end up as a "widely hated ex" do you really want that to be the case? I don't - I think he deserves better and for that there has to be a resolution that will satisfy the angry part of the fan base.
In general there are 4 groups of attitudes towards Kaiden:
1. He was right, Shep needs to apologize.
2. It was a misunderstanding Shep needs to explain.
3. Kaiden was wrong and needs to apologize
4. Kaiden needs to desappear or die, for whatever reason.
All 4 positions need to be addressed, depending on the players behavior and feelings on the matter. Shep has to have options to do all thous things or it will not be satisfying.
In ME1 Kaidens views could be adjusted by Shep - depending oh our interactions with him he leaned towards pro/anti alien views similar mechanics should be implemented here - depending of what Shep thinks about the Horizon there should be options for Shep to say "it's water under the bridge, let's move on", or "I'm sorry" or "you misunderstood" or "I hate you go to hell" and he should react accordingly in a way that would satisfy the fans. All responses have to have depths, and if possible lead you to caring about the character again.
Playing Mass Effect 3 with "righteous ass Kaiden as seen on Horizon" stuck to me with no option to get right of him and having to deal with him regularly will spoil my enjoyment of the game a great deal. If they don't think he should make amends, in case I want them, than I'd prefer to live him with Anderson or something like that, but out of my way.
In a best case scenario they should resolve the situation for the angry players and make us want to have him around and even romance him again - that would be brilliant - going on emotional swing like that is something no game have achieved yeas far as I recall. And it certainly would be a complement to the writers.
There is a reason for "no fraternization" rule, you know, and here we see it in game environment - people do not work well with hated exes, if relationships break down you have to resolve the issue, no matter how, or separate thous people simply for the good of the mission.

Your Shepard is 28-29 in ME1, regardless of background. Kaidan is 32. They were exposed in different accidents. Singapore wasn't the only accident, it was simply the first.
Does that make it clearer for you?

Spacer - minor engineering accident
Colonist - Cerberus
Earthborn - ???
Earthborn Shepard must have been exposed in a public accident.

*Just snip this entire thing, sheesh paragraphs please
You are the only one in last few pages or so that expressed you were that ticked off at Kaidan, so I'm not sure where you're getting this idea that the majority opinion was that the VS were incorrect for their behavior.
If Bioware 1) makes the VS righteous (which they never were), and 2)doesn't hand you this huge ultimatum to give to Kaidan (which is ultimately petty and useless), are you really going to be that upset?
Also, it's *Kaidan, with an 'a', not an 'e'.

...I admit I'm partial to the hairbump ... but ahaha, it just gives me that delicious 1950's flashback. (I'm a sucker for retro.)
.......aaaaand, my boyfriend actually chose to save Kaidan over Ashley. (However, he says the correct decision is to save /both/.)
