Aah oops... I just did that one last night and decided I felt like a fight so I went all renegadey and made a mess of the place! I have a save point just before there though so I can go back and try again! Cheers guys :)

Lol! The same thing happened to me with Horizon. I went all renegade on Kaidan when I first saw him and was disappointed that I didn't get the "I loved you" line. So, because I hadn't manually saved during the mission, I had to start it all over again. Image IPB It was a difficult day for me having to hear him upset twice in a row Image IPB

You guys, I finally did it! http://www.fanfiction.net/u/3652919/

There is Shenko. It's the one I just finished writing (it's short) and I like it the best as-is, so it is the one I published first, even though it is imagined to take place shortly after the beginning of ME3. As I decide how I want to release the others I've already written I'll be editing them and adding them to the site. I hope you like it!

Also, 6-ish weeks to ME3. Hooray! :o

I know a while back people were talking about MP, Skype, drinking and so on. Your almost talking me into geting a head set again. I can use Skype. I hope you don't mind if I don't drink but I'm a hard core caffeine addict:lol: Yea not the same buzz as alcohol but it gets me what I need. Migraines appear with no caffeine. Also part of my not drinking has to do with experiences I played MMO's with. If a mage throws out a powerful spell, it draws agro and possibly kills everyone. Which well, pisses off everyone because they loose experience. So I'm afraid if I was intoxicated I would mess things up. I needz to concentrate.

Don't say another word please.  I've been trying to avoid reading/listening to any "leaked" stuff so that I don't get disillusioned before the game demo comes out....

@IsaacShep--MARVELOUS!  Wonderful Work there!  We've got A LOT of creative people who play this game, and BIOWARE doesn't even realize it, lol!

Have NEVER anticipated a Valentine's Day yet like I am this one!  My hubby is going to be peeved about that, lol

Also, I love the Kaidan/Wrex elevator conversation where Wrex asks Kaidan who would win in a fight between him and Shepard. ME2 was definitely missing that squadmate banter that made ME1 so much more awesome.

Why have I never gotten that elevator conversation? And it's Shepard, right? I mean, she can carry him like a sack of potatoes.

Strange, it's the first Kaidan / Wrex conversation I usually get. Kaidan exclaims something about that he can't even imagine such fight since Shepard is his commanding officer and Wrex responds that Shepard will win from this exact reason.

The science of Mass Effect 2.  Not strictly Kaidan related, I know. But I know there are people on here that are just as nerdy as I am and would enjoy it.

I've seen it quite a while ago, and I really loved it. Generally I like watching Michio Kaku, he can make almost anyone interested in science. I still remember when he tried to recreate lightsaber - my whole family watched it ^_^

I don't know what the trigger is for elevator conversations. I guess it's just random? There are times when I ride the elevator like twenty times, and all I get are news reports, and there are other times where I get squad banter for a couple of rides. I do like Wrex's response though: "That's why Shepard is your superior officer, and that's why Shepard would win". Oh, yeah, Shepard would totally win. Image IPB

I really missed the squad banter in ME2, they were more a collection of individuals than a team. The feeling of team in ME1 was so much more powerful, and the elevator scenes had a lot to do with it. Now may have to go back to the citadel and work through every squad combo and go up and down the csec elevator to hear the dialog again :)

but renegade or neutral is much more fun in ME1. I think of sweet Kai as a good influence on her - and his reactions to her needling him are adorable. his face is just Image IPB with a raised eyebrow. Image IPB

whilst paraShep romancing Kaidan is just too much goody for me Image IPB.

Exactly! I loved how Kaidan wasn't blindly following Shep and opposed to some of her actions, but not instantly hating her (as some of DA companions did). And renegade dialouge option before Ilos is soo great! <3

There really isn't a way that conversation can go that will satisfy me. How about an option to say that I've been trying to contact you since I woke up but I couldn't because no one would tell me where you were. Not 'Well I didn't want to open old wounds, I thought you moved on.' No, screw that. This wasn't just some old wound. This was love. My Shepard still loves Kaidan and she would've been doing everything to find him.

I think that's what annoyed me the most. I think for one of the first times, my Shepard wasn't conveying anything close to what I wanted her to say.

Definitely agree. I've enjoyed roleplaying my paragade a hell of a lot more than my pure paragon.  I feel like such a badass playing paragade, too, just because I'm not really like that in real life, lol (100% paragon Image IPB). Kaidan was her good influence in ME1. During that interview with Al Jilani, I pictured my Shep tensing up, fists clenching...then Kaidan totally touched the small of her back when he noticed her reaction, and that calmed her down. Image IPB Roleplaying is awesome! Image IPB

My God, this! Not to get into the Horizon dialogue options (because we've all been there a million times before), but I agree with you, yoshibb.

Yeah from the beginning of ME2 if there was a Kaidan optioning in conversation my Shep asks. She has a galaxy to save but her man is still a priority.

Edit: BSN ate my post.

The most amusing  from Kaidan - in question that I felt absolutely the same - happened at my chaotic evil renegade playthrough. It was bat**** insane femShep which treated everyone except Wrex and much later Kaidan as lesser beings not good enough to even lick her boots. So... the moment which I was planning as beginning of their trust, talk after Therum, discussing T'Soni. I saw top-left option which stated something like "keep it professional", which was good enough since it seemed not frivolous enough but it was top-left so technically paragonish.

And Shepard reminded Kaidan that she saw Liara first.

Has anyone ever renegaded Kaidan? Made him more pro-human, I mean. Was it fun or just sad? I found that even in my full on renegade playthrough I couldn't be anti-alien.

I'm trying to with the Shepard I'm playing through right now but I'm not sure yet if it's going to work. This Shepard is a colonist/ruthless and I'm rp'ing her so that her fear of Batarians brought on by Mindoir morphs into blind hatred for them and spreads into a deep distrust for all alien races. It is really hard though, I'm always having to reload because I forget that she's not supposed to be playing nice with aliens.

From what I've seen on YouTube renegade Kaidan seems to have some fun lines. Right now I'm not there yet so he just keeps giving me logical reasons for not being anti-alien. Dang, he's persuasive. Am I remembering correctly that it really doesn't matter once you import because there are no flags for if he was renegaded or not that carry over?

I have renegaded Kaidan before, and the only difference I can tell from the paragon version is different lines. I don't think he totally goes pro-human, and I'm not even sure if renegading him carries into ME3.

Yeah, seems like other stuff we heard before. I just wonder if him and Shepard will butt heads a lot during the game now, since he's not really subordinate to her anymore.

Edit: TOP.
