Yeah, seems like other stuff we heard before. I just wonder if him and Shepard will butt heads a lot during the game now, since he's not really subordinate to her anymore.

Oh and I expect some grade A tension between Kaidan and Shep during ME3, at least for the first bit. I do hope it relaxes a bit eventually. The emotional wringer has got to give at one point. Also isn't Kaidan technically higher ranked then Shep? Would be interesting to see him pull rank on her during a ground mission or something and Shepard either rounding on him, or backing down and being like "this ain't over..." 

But honestly I'm just happy to get Kaidan back!

I don't think he would do that, *or*, he would if it was an extreme situation, like to protect Shepard from herself or something, if Shepard wanted to charge at a Reaper or something really harsh like that.

At least in my case, I expect lots of tention between Shep and Kaidan at the beggining of ME3. Sarah, my canon Shep, knows that Kaidan needs some time in the Normandy with her to see that she hasn't changed, but she can't exactly keep in control of herself when it comes to Kaidan.

If he has a different opinion then Shep's sure. He always questions her in ME1, couple that with his mistrust of what happened to her and her affiliation with Cerberus, even a past one, and I think it's possible.

When did he disagree with Shep in ME1? Not that I don't believe you, I just don't remember any instances The closest I can think of to questioning her/him is after Virmire, and saying something like the Council should've been the ones to deal with the Rachni Queen.

Kaidan never questions Shepard or his/her orders. Shepard is his commanding officer and unless Shepard is doing something insane like ordering the complete destruction of a group of people for absolutely no reason, he would never do so. Kaidan is very much an Alliance officer and knows his place and what his duties and responsibilities are.

Hell, the man even participated in a mutiny that could very well have ended his career purely because he knew that Shepard was doing the right thing. I don't expect him to be 'pulling rank' at all.

You might have to renegade to see it, I play mostly paragon but in some instances I'll renegade. So if you punch someone for instance, he'll have something to say about it. The earliest I can think of is on Eden Prime if you punch out the crazed scientist: "Commander.. Was that really necessary?" Or something along those lines. I think that's where the notion of Kaidan being whiny and too holier then though comes from. 

There's probably other and better examples where you decide something, but I can't remember. 

About the favorite lines my one fave above all is when Shep tells the asasi scientist at the krogan faciltity that she better get a move on since they plan on nuking the place, the asari freaks out and runs away then Kaidan says: "You enjoyed that"

Hehe, the exact line was: 'That may have been a little extreme, Commander.' And honestly, that's the whole reason I do it: just to hear him gently rebuke Shepard. It's great.

That would explain My Shep is a Holier Than Thou 100% Paragon with the exception of a slightly bad habit of pushing mercs out windows, so I guess I never got to hear Kaidan's protests against Renegade-ism.

On an Un-Kaidan related note, why is it so hard to find good places to take screenshots of Shep? Half the time, she/he has a derpy as heck expression

Oh, I get what you mean. I thought your first post meant you wanted Kaidan randomly to boss Shep around because of rank, something I really can't see him doing out of the blue. I agree that I'd love to see him on equal grounds as Shep

Oh gosh no, I mean if the situation made sense for it, we're fighting the Reapers and the whole blowing up a Batarian colony made me think we might have to do things Kaidan and company might not always get behind. IN fact I wonder how he feels about that particular incident... 

I can't wait for this thing to come out!

I would be disappointed if Kaidan didn't butt heads with my Shepard, but I expect him to be tactful about it. While I just can't picture him going along with Shepard no questions asked, neither can I see him challenging her in a way that would undermine her authority in front of others. If that makes any sense.

I think on the video they had about it on IGN they said that they saw Kaidan (they got the demo early). The demo versions that game journalists have had also have shown Kaidan, so... yes, I believe so.

The GI article was about someone playing the demo as femshep, and they said that Kaidan was in it...so I think it is safe to say that those who are playing the demo will see him
