Honestly, I could probably come up with an argument for why I like every squadmate. It takes ALOT to make me dislike a character whose willing to follow you into deadly situations. I think the only teammate I ever really hated was Velanna from DA:Awakening because God, all she did was **** THE WHOLE TIME. I gave her gifts, I tried talking to her, and she just kept whining about humans and her sister and arg so annoying!

Right.  And then she hates you if you kill the Architect. I didn't hate her but I was pretty pissed by the end of that game.

Same. I honestly can't hate on any character. I don't see the arguments that people make to derail the character as viable most of the time, and each character (to me at least) has a redeeming quality about them that disintegrates any backlash I have toward them. Sure, some squad members aren't my favorite, but I certainly don't hate or even dislike any of them.

As for Kaidan, my Shepard is faithful and is going to get back together with him in ME3 (unless I somehow screw that up, which is possible considering that I always screw up something in my first playthrough). I was never really angry with what he said on Horizon, although with my first playthrough I just wanted to try out all of the new romance options  On my replays of that character she's been faithful, though.

Imagine how pissed I was when I didn't romance him and he only had one conversation with me after the loyalty mission and then had NOTHING left to say.  They so missed the mark with Garrus in terms of dialogue in ME2.  I guess I was spoiled by Kaidan's romance in ME1.

I really like Garrus. I always take Miranda and Garrus as my main squad. Miranda is my romance and i feel like my Shepard and Garrus are like best bros. Plus they are just amazing characters anyway

Yeah, that's gonna be interesting cuz they're temp/perma squaddies. So, you've got a while to stew in sum tension.

Yeah. And I love them both. I don't want to break either of their hearts. But when the time comes I'll choose Garrus. In my first playthrough Kaidan broke my heart on Horizon and Garrus put me back together. That feeling has stuck with me, even after exploring other options.
That being said, I don't know if I'll do that playthrough first because I really want to see a happy ending for Shep and Kaidan. I don't know if I have the will the break his heart in my first playthrough.

My love triangle is Thane/Kaidan. I don't see much of a showdown between someone who is dying and Kaidan. To be honest I don't know if I can go thru with that playthru. I don't like hurting people and one happens to be dying. Not good! Also I like Miranda. The first time I talked to her and she shut me down I was like but then I got more of her story and I understood. I also like most of the characters I've met.

On a serious note, it doesn't seem quite fair to exclude other characters from discussion. Especially when it was, at least originally, in the context of past and future interactions between Kaidan and said squaddies.
