Something has me confused w/Kaidan and his dad, tho.

What is going on there? Kaidan said something about his dad was proud he joined the Alliance...after awhile.

Why after awhile? Didn't his Dad serve? Did he not want Kaidan going down the same road. I mean, is there any info regarding what this tension between them was about.

Was it because he killed that Turian?...i just don't know.

My absolute favorite take on Kaidan's relationship with his father is JaerWolfe's A Soldier's Duty.  I can't even say more, it's just wonderfully written and insightful.

Well hasn't today been eventful!

I see Ash and Kaidan as more of a Brother/Sister relationship not so much a romantic one. They definalty have a great vibe with their banter but I'm not really seeing it as anything more than friendship.

I've also had a very ME day at work today ... I had one client with the last name 'Udina' and another with 'Grunt' ... I'm waiting to see if I can eventually end up with clients that have all the ME names!

No from what I read in the leaked script there stories/romances/and lines are quite different from eachother.

I read that one earlier after I saw it linked in here - it's a nice piece, thanks for putting in that link! It's an angle that I'd not thought about too much before, and it's nicely developed. There's plenty more to Kaidan than we've learned so far, plenty of potential for aspects of his character we don't yet know about, really looking forward to what we find out in ME3 now.

Oh my god. That is amazing.

I was afraid they were going to do something similar to Horizon, where the VS play the same role and have pretty much the same dialogue. Wooo, so glad that it doesn't seem like that's going to be true. They can be separate people again (even though I'm sure they have the same story functions, but if dialogue is quite different I can rest easy)

How do you Kaidan folk view Miranda?

I actually really like Miranda, I love strong women so Miranda was an instant like. I really liked Ashley too she was my bud, but her poetry quoting really annoyed the crap out of me. When it comes to my Shep's best gal friends it goes like this:

Miranda + Jack : Pretty much on equal footing and Shep thinks it's hilarious they have a hard time breathing the same air. She would take these two for a night out or just hang with them.
Dr. Chakwas: She's cool and Shep's surrogate mom at this point. (colonist)
Liara: She appreciates Liara's dedication and is a great friend to talk to when upset.
Tali: Sweet little genius, Tali is the little sister Shep never had.
Kasumi: They both lose their boyfriends, it's a sympathy friendship, and she has a bar in her room...

Eh that's it right? As for Shep's bro's I've got:

Joker: Shep's good friend, he can be a pain but his mad pilotings skills are worth it. And he's funny.
Thane: Shep really took to this guy, they became close relatively quickly.
Wrex: He really intrigued Shep at first and now she respects what he's trying to do for his people.
Garrus: He annoyed my Shep before but as he's 'growing up' she's appreciating him more. She respects him as a fighter.
Kaidan is on his own category.. ^_^ Everyone else my Shep is friendly with but she's not really all that close to them.

i like Ashley too but to me from what i read of the me3 script she is extremely rude, cruel, and immature towards Miranda (if u romanced her in ME2) and i really dotn like that. Especially after what she did on Horizon. I like her as a character but as a romance my heart belongs to Miranda.

Oh wow I love that ToP pic.

And I leave for 5 hours for work(I totally put up the Commander shepard display standee today heh) and the gym and there are 10 pages? Dang.

Trolololing? Funny. It always amuses me that the "trolls" can never type correctly. Be it with punctuation, capitalization or just grammar, it's always off. I'm sorry, I just can't take anyone serious when they can't even get their point across well. No offense, Swaggacide, you seem like a lovely lady of 19 in uni.

In other other news, a coworker of mine told me to send my shirtless kaidan fanart to gameinformer for their art thing. I would laugh with merriment if Shirtless kaidan was in print heh.

Very eventful indeed, it seems. Anyway, I also see Kai and Ash and brother/sister. Though, I do like Kaidan/Miranda for some reason. I guess because they're my two most favorite characters in the ME world. As for an ME day at work, an "Ashley Williams" once came into my office.  I was so excited to meet someone with Ash's name, imagine if I ever met someone named "Kaidan Alenko"...Image IPB

On a side note, I was chatting with a friend about side missions and thought I'd ask everyone's opinion. So, in ME1, you pretty much need to do all side mission in order to accomplish the really high levels. Now, in ME2, you level up pretty much after every recruitment/loyalty mission. I'm at 30 already, and I still have a good ways to go to finish. My question is: do you guys do all the side missions in ME2 and are they really necessary? I guess I just want to finish ME2 already and doing the side missions feel like such a chore.

Kaidan Alenko is a very unique name. It's one of the first things that gravitated me towards him, not to mention his voice, his body, his backstory, and his personality!

I do all of them all the time. But I'm a completionist, when I don't do all the missions, it haunts me.....
:blink::blush:
I'm not really sure if not doing them will affect ME3...

I do all the side quests that are on planets that I visit. But the ones on other planets? I can't be bothered with them. I don't know why. I could do all the missions in ME1, but ME2 just seems like a hassle. :P

I just got to lvl 60 finally in ME1 and I had to do all the side missions plus do some mineral mining. I do all the ME2 missions just because I'm a perfectionist so it kills me not to do everything. It gets annoying so I usually leave that till before I hit the derelict repear. That is why I think I burn out so quickly when I play ME1 and ME2 straight thru.

I forgot to tell you congratulations on level 60! I only made it to 59. I got lazy after playing the game back to back. I guess that's why I feel so bleh about finishing ME2. I'm definitely burned out. Image IPB

Ty it was a pain in the assssssss!!! You know what also helped me was pinnicle station got me some major exp points as well. Are you going to try to do another run to 60 or are you burned out? @Oddlyotter...I think that was my
2nd playthru with that character. Have you reached 60 yet?

I reached 59 on my first playthrough, that was soooooooo frustrating because I was so close! But as I said, I have replayed multiple times on the one character. I've tried to make others but I don't like any of the classes but infiltrator so I always end up back on Lena Shepard. I have never made a male shepard though and have only ever romanced Kaidan on ME1. No one else is interesting to me.

Garrus I like in ME2 but then he's more of a bro than he is a romance option for me at least. We're besties. Thane's was weird like I was just all "Oooooo what's a drell TELL ME" and he starts calling me shia o.o And Jacobs was just boring. I hated that no matter what though, Shepard always flirted with him. Wait..... I drew a small comic about this once. Where is that....
