I just got to lvl 60 finally in ME1 and I had to do all the side missions plus do some mineral mining. I do all the ME2 missions just because I'm a perfectionist so it kills me not to do everything. It gets annoying so I usually leave that till before I hit the derelict repear. That is why I think I burn out so quickly when I play ME1 and ME2 straight thru.

Ugh, I was a little frustrated and annoyed that I only made it to 59 (should've gotten Pinnacle Station, damn it), but I was so burned out that I just didn't care by the end of the game. I'm thinking of replaying it - if only just to get the level 60 achievement - but not any time soon. I've still got to get that playthrough through ME2, and the ME3 demo is just around the corner so I don't think I'll have time to do another complete playthrough of that Shepard.

@Oddlyotter: That is a funny comic! I once read a fic where Shepard blamed the change in her voice in the armory as something being in the vents, and she stopped going in there 'cause she thought she would catch something. "I swear, Kaidan, I have no idea why my voice sounds like that every time I talk to Jacob!"

LOL something in the vents. That's something I'd go with. "I told Mordin and EDI about it several times but I think they were in cahoots with Jacob on trying to get me to date him. I wouldn't trust them."

I'm at lv.55 still got feros, noveria and other missions to do but I'm getting all the collective stuff and killing things on foot, I think I should make it to lv60 wit pinnavle station as well. Well I hope so, the Mako is killing my love for Mass Effect.

I think you'll be able to get lvl 60 with Pinnacle Station but without killing everyone on foot. On my last "run to achieve lvl 60" I've imported char which just got lvl 57, killed everyone on foot but didn't have any DLC, and got lvl 60 rather early -  I think I had at least Virmire and Ilos to go. I would advise to damage big baddies (Colossi and Thresher Maws) in Mako and then getting out to deliver final blow on foot and get full XP, though:P

Aside from instances where all squad has almost identical dialogue - like "Watch out, Cerberus troops!", - similar lines can be counted with fingers of one hand. And even then, it's more about "they are saying the same thing but in a way how their personality dictates", not copy-paste.

Let's see I like Kaidan cause he's level-headed, kind, and openminded. He doesn't need to be fixed, he's got things worked out from his past. He has morals that he sticks to and even when someone he loves asks him to do something, he refuses to abandon those morals. He's devastated by Shepard's death, but he doesn't let her death destroy his life. He becomes a Spectre and rises in rank to become a Major.

He's not a "bad boy" renegade like Garrus. He doesn't need guidance, he gives it, and I get the feeling that a lot of people don't like that because Shepard is supposed to be this all knowing being. But he sees Shepard as a human who makes mistakes and he's trying to protect her from all of that.

He's got the charming shyness of Alistair without the sillyness but also the stoic character of someone like Fenris without the anger. He's not too far in either direction which makes him feel like a real person.

If you feel like characters should all have issues that way them down and emotional baggage that their in need of help with from you, than yeah, Kaidan probably seems pretty boring. But I don't believe characters have to be so extreme to be great. They don't have to shout their emotions to get their point across. They can just lose it every once in awhile and it'll have a whole lot more meaning like it did with Kaidan on Horizon.

I like Kaidan cause he's a well-rounded human being complementing what seems to be an almost supernatural Shepard.

okay i know this was a while back - but you guys weren't half busy while i was asleep!

Garrus doesn't appeal to me as a romance because of the relationship they had in ME1 - like a kid brother or student/teacher. it's hard for me to forget it and change the relationship.

but i like kaidan for alll the reasons everyone was talking about - dry sense of humour and generally being a tower of strength, and not being intimidated by femshep. he's simply my type.

A random thought, but on higher difficulty levels do you get more enemies to shoot, and hence get more XP from killing them? I've got a few side missions to go then Virmire, Pinnacle really helped rack up some points but I think my current character is in the mid 40s. Even my main Shepard, I played through twice and thought I was doing it fairly completely but she couldn't get over 59

and i know we've moved on from this subject but, i personally think a good troll every once in a while isnt a bad thing. i mean it keeps things interesting. as long as they dont take it too far, its all good. @swaggacide good job on trolling and then realing it in. people should be able to come into other forums and have a discussion. plus trolling makes for good reading when you're playing catch up lol

So...how many levels can one get by hanging out at Pinnacle Station? I'm going to TRY to get a level 60 Shep, but I always give up  

I'm soooo behind on reading up on the thread.  I got to see Isaacs amazing poster and I saw Trinity is going to be famous ( GRATS) and that a trollish type person was in here.  Is that all? Or did I miss any good Kaidan stuff?

I did Pinnacle last night - each scenario I beat I think I got about 1500 points, and there are 12 scenarios, then there's a final one and I didn't see how many I got for that. But it's a minimum of around 18,000 points. Unless points vary according to other factors

Nice to have the little house at the end, but two single uncomfortable-looking beds? Would be nice if that carried over into ME3, but then I'll have to go back with my other sheps and do Pinnacle, then ME2, then 3... I only got Pinnacle the other day (why did I wait so long? I am a fool!)

Is that multiplayer because - and I know it's for publicity purposes and is meant to look great - it looks great!

I've never played online with otherss before.  It's just never appealed to me but that look like immense fun.  I think I might be up for it!
