hmmmm, I suppose now I can do my spinning and shooting technique. And I wont have to worry about teammate sticking their heads in my sniper's scope.

I really hope there's something wrong with the council, be that they are endoctrinated or something because otherwise I'll be super annoyed that they are just that dumb. OR they know more that they let on and their dismissal of the reapers is because they have something up their sleeves. 

So my husband brought up a good point too which made me go: nooooooo! Why didn't everyone just evacuated the citadel once Shepard reports at the end of ME1 that it was made especially as a trap. With everything that vigil tells Shepard, you would think the council races wouldn't take a chance, leave and blow the whole thing up. 

Is the citadel crucial for the mass relays to work? Now that would explain it.

Also if I remember correctly Vigil was also destroyed after speaking with Shep, so when they went to Ilos to confirm the story they found nothing ... which is also why they where willing to dismiss the Reaper claims.  If they arent' willing to believe in the Reapers I'd doubt they'd believe the Citadel is a danger to them.

Don't y'all know better than to feed those things?  If you do that they'll never leave.  Glad things have returned to normal, but it made for some interesting catching up.  I stand by my decision to get drunk and play ME last night.

@Soccerchic - I love pirates!  A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel in his pants.  The bartender asks what it's for and the pirate says "Arr, it's drivin' me nuts!"  Also, hope you feel better.  Surgery blows.

@MP - No friendly fire is awesome.  Now I will not have to feel bad about blowing y'all up.  Which will probably happen, because I have zero mp experience.

@Alistairschica - Now why didn't I think of that?  But honestly, even if the asari councillor did the mind meld, I bet they'd still come up with a way to ignore the Reapers.  "We're sure Shepard believes in this Reaper threat, but judging from what a jumbled mess her mind is, have decided she made it up."

That's exactly why I hated saving the council at the end. (Though my first save I didn't and it's my canon) After everything Shepard did, they just pretend it never happened. Or blamed it solely on the geth. Vigil was seen and heard by three people at the end and yet all their words mean nothing. Now I understand why everyone wants their Shep to say 'I told you so.', so badly. I don't even remember the true meaning behind the Citadel beong mentioned in ME2.

On one hand, I think the Council kind of has to dismiss Shep's claims. They don't have any pure, solid evidence (as everything Shep gets info from is destroyed after s/he encounters it), and there's been no news for two years.  If they were to officially sanction the Reapers as a threat, it would cause widespread panic over something no one's really sure about. The economy would probably go haywire, tensions would build, and nothing definitive would happen. They're political leaders, and therefore have to look out for the people the best they can. So I can really see their side, as ignorant as it may be.

Yeah now that you mention it, it really was pointless to visit the council in ME2. I went there just to be told that "I have no proof" and "We can't help" it's ridiculous really.  The only thing I enjoyed was seeing Anderson again.

What amuses the hell out of me is we have phones that can record things. Yet in the future somehow we have nothing to record anything!!! You think by then that there would be oh what a omni-tool function that says record or video tape? Is there no where in your armor they can't install a mini camera or recorder? The brand new omni-tool blade comes with many accesorries. The brand new omni-tool comes in many standard sizes and colors. Sir, does the omni-tool record or take pictures? Um no?! Forget it next!! Say would that armor have any recording device in it? No, jeez!

As far as that pic above soo damn cute!!

I'm very excited for MP. Especially now I can't hurt anyone. Drunk people can't hurt me yay!! Win Win! I don't know what race I want to be though:blush:

Yeah, I definitely saw their point of view even if I did think they were being huge idiots by not listening to freaking Commander Shepard.  But even then, in ME2 the Collectors are only abducting human colonies. And it's in the Terminus system, and the Council has no jursidiction over there. They honestly don't have a right to intervene and wreak havoc on the Citadel or any of the other species in council space over something that has no evidence.

If you let the council die the new human council doesn't even give you the time of day. No meeting what so ever. Yea thanks all human council<_<

Solution to the council: keep killing them until you get a group that will bend to your will. Although, I've only actually done that once, I have trouble being bad even in video games.

I also enjoyed seeing Anderson again. At least I did until he refused to tell Shepard anything about Kaidan.

Well I do see Anderson being actully pretty damn smart for not saying anything. They kept Kaidan/Ash records hidden so well that TIM or The Shadow Broker couldn't get anything on the VS. That is my theory why their was no dossiers on the VS. Not even the damn IM could get any intel. Now that is brillant. Anderson was just covering his and Kaidan's ass.

At the very least you'd think they'd be able to record the audio feed between Shep and the Normandy!  Or just use the many recordings located on youtube

With all the classified files, coupled with Kaidan/Ashley being sent to the Terminus Systems on a solo mission... Do you think they were already Spectres in ME2? It would make sense to me, no one else seems to have classified files. Not even Liara had anything on the VS.

I never noticed Anderson having a picture of Kaidan on his desk! I'll have to look for that when I replay ME2.

Someone confiscated Shep's and team omni-tools, clearly Tali shows a recording of Benezia's voice in ME1 and that's enough evidence then to get things rolling!! So yeah PFFFT! 


And again yes I hope there's an explanation for what the VS had been up to... I'm so curious!
