As Kaidan and Shep would understand, there are regs.
When you are marketing, you reach out to the masses and close out as few as possible - simple as that. Don't alienate your audience, don't just throw out comments that will annoy a sector of your potential customers because it will come back and bite you. Think before you post! But that doesn't mean you can't be social - you just choose your words carefully.
Unrelated note, finally got to the end of Manipulations - damn that is one of the finest fanfics, talk about slow build up with rewards! But equally, awesome twist in Chap 15 on Encounter! Awesome stuff guys
Like I said, it isn't written anywhere that they have to market a game 24/ 7 on their personal accounts and exclude any personal thoughts from their tweets. After all, it's Jessica's profile, I'm sure the "masses interested in reading simply official stuff follow @BioWare or @MassEffect. I follow individual devs because I'm interested in what they think and I think it's selfish to expect them to think they're there solely for my sake and should thus watch their every word. On the other hand, had it occured to her that her own opinion might cause an annoyance, perhaps she would have refrained from posting at all. Alienating devs by oversensitivity is always great.
