Major Kaidan Alenko in ME3: We're going to need a bigger boot.

Kaidan is probably one of the most down to earth romances Bioware has written, apart from Skye who's from Jade Empire (awesome game. I am a martial arts goddess WATCHOUT). He's careful about laying his heart out there and when he flibs (his accidental slip on the citadel omgmyheart) he's suddenly colored in this boyish charm I find irrisistable.
And he sticks to his morals and ideals (well >.> aside from that whole I'M A RENAGADE U SO GOOD part from shep) and I love that. He chose to stick it out with the alliance when the woman he loved suddenly appears before him like a mirage. I bet you anything he wanted to be by her side to see what the deal was going on with her and Cerberus, but that whole loyalty to the alliance and his personal ideals stopped that. And that's ok. I'm fine with that.
Just not okay with Shepard's responses (My name is herpderpshep and this is my favorite OHHEYHOWSITGOING).
Waiting with zomg anticipation for the reunion that will happen.
Because it will happen.
Oh yes.
Oh god yes.

I'm glad the VS is not going to get "nobody cares about them" treatment cos I will rage so bad if that happens
I feel that Kaidan is a bit underrated in the community, which is sad cos' he's a nice guy and Sentinel basically owns.
I think I took too much DA2 in the head hence why I thought of

I doubt that ME3 had any chance to get bomb in LI department like any DA did. DA took nearly 60 hours of player's life, and while traumatic events may happen, it still easier to bear than anything bad happening to LI who was waited to come back for 5 years.Priisus wrote...

And to "Sentinel basically owns" - I'd recommend to check "ME3 Powers" thread and especially supposed Kaidan's class passive.

Hello everybody^^, I usally don't post in the forum (because I'm too shy to post, and my english is not very good...) but I read you, the Kaidanites everyday. So I just want to post a link to a video where we can see Femshep at 2.27( it's very quick but still good to see^^), http://www.dailymoti...rom=embediframe but still no Kaidan. I can wait to play the demo and the all game, because I'm doing a new playthrough and I'm doing ME2 and I'm sad knowing that I'm not going to see Kaidan except in Horizon. I want to see Kaidan in a video...
Welcome! And you're english is very good
That was a really cool little interview, thanks!

Totally digging Kaidan's power list; the only playthrough where I don't have him as my VS is when I'm playing as a Sentinel myself. My cannon is Soldier though and her being Kaidan's girl is the icing on the cake.

How is Kaidan underrated? he has the greatest number of obesessive fans and the longest ongoing character thread. Open your eyes.

Well with the amount of VS threads you make, seems like your a secret one. Just admit it.

Hardly but I have openly said many times that Kaidan is vastly superior to Ashley in terms of tolerability. Admittedly it might be nice to have a Sentinel aboard but who knows? and whilst I somewhat idealise Liara I find it a testament to the human imagination how much females idealise Kaidan. Either way, the VS will never be capable of the same love that Liara shows Shepard and for all we know it might be a human limitation and not their fault.

Sentinel Shepard and Kaidan together are fun lore-wise. "No more reserved than any biotic" - "You tell me":)

I usually don't frequent the character threads but then the lack of details about Kaidan actually lures me here lol. As to your inquiries, first I don't know who's more popular between Ash and Kaidan but the general concensus is that Ash is the VS in the majority of people's games.
Also what I meant by underrated is the amount of official coverage he's been given compared to the other squadies.

I watched Lady Winde drawing last night, she is amazing, the picture is beautiful!
I like Kaidan because he is sweet and soft spoken. Although he tried to hide behind his wall of regulations and leaving himself a way out he finally made himself vulnerable.

Liara's love in my mind (even though I can see why people love it) is too obessive for me.

Last night I finished Pinnacle Station for the first time, unlocked those 2 stupid achievements and got to level 39. Still have Noveria and Virmire to go, finish the missing marines, see Conrad again, minerals, badges and all that stuffs and right now I'm on the asteroid for Bring Down the Sky. Gonna see how high leveled I can get.

I'm still surprised how fat for XP main assignments are. Especially Virmire with that Colossi.

And while we're talking about demo, does anybody know if it works on Mac? Because I have desperate plan to keep boyfriend and his sudden curiosity about ME3 away from my machine, and while his MacBook Pro theoretically can run it, I doubt that "find Windows to play ME3" sounds normal.

If that's how you feel then that's fineBut people love different types of love (if that makes sense). The VS may not have hunted Shepard's body down etc. But they do love Shepard, it may not be Romeo & Juliet love but it's a love.

You don't need to explain because I understand. People confuse obsessive with unconditional. Liara's love is as close to unconditional as can be, not obsessive.Real life love is usually judgemental, critical and all the other stuff the VS brings to the table. It is very obvious that when people prefer the VS love to Liara's they are taking real life expectations and perceptions and projecting them onto the game. Clearly in real life no one loves like Liara does and the 'forget you' and move on attitude of the VS is much more common and realistic, if not casual. For example, they will always prioritise their Alliance duties over Shepard whereas Liara would (likely) never do that. So at the end of the day, yes, Liara's love is 'unrealistic' and certainly fantastical but it is far more powerful and impactful (and I admit that might have something to do with the fact that she is an Asari).

In ME2 Liara didn't ditch everything for Shepard either. Her work came first as well.

Initially but prior to that she chased him down to get him back. More to the point, Liara doesn't judge Shepard, both VSs presume to lecture him and tell him what he is doing wrong.
