Both my teams lost tonight. I am so tired of watching sports and getting frustrated. I just want to play ME3 and see Kaidan again, D:<

I asked earlier about why people loved Kaidan and I read the responses. It was interesting to see what people's thoughts were, how some even mimicked my own. I'm going to be honest and say, at first I had no idea what I should do with any of these characters. I'm ashamed to admit, I killed Kaidan in my first playthrough, lol not because I didn't like him but because I really didnt know him. I wasn't sure about the choices and the consequences of the game at that point either. I was playing with other people also so I wasn't able to get into it on my own. I really wasn't able to focus on the characters as much. I'd never played a game quite like ME before .
By the end of my first save, I realized I screwed up royally, I started all over and really got to know everyone. I thought Kaidan was a sweetheart. He had a lot of substance. He was analytical, quiet but confident..."Beautiful but not stuck up about it."  lol   He was "down to earth" so to speak and kind, level headed. And he just fit.
My cannon save is War Hero, Spacer and a Vanguard. I have deep respect for the military in reality. My husband is former Navy, so it's not a stretch at all that I would have an affinity for a military type in gaming as well. lol In ME1 the other LI's weren't even on the radar.

I liked Liara fine as a friend but for me, I didn't feel she would suit Shepard romantically (MY Shepard at the very least). And for the record, my male Sheps (even though I don't like playing male shep, I have 2 male saves) are strictly reserved for Tali and Jack. lol

But putting all that aside, I love the story between Kaidan and Shep. They meet, they're friends, the fall in love, then they are torn apart...I think someone compared it earlier to Romeo and Juliet....I don't know if I'd go that far but it's tragic and tumultuous. And to me, What is a story if there is not dilemna or angst?? What's the point if there's only roses and sunshine?? There's no true love, if there's no true test. If Kaidan never questioned Shepard, I'd wonder about his character. What it told me was that KAIDAN is someone who knows who he is. That's part of why I really adore and respect this character. 

There would be nothing to pull me in again if not for that scene on Horizon. I know many have stated they didn't like that scene but it made me love Kaidan and Shepard even more. Because it showed me he knew who he was and he wasn't afraid to be that. He is her equal, not someone following her around worshipping the ground she walks on. Anyway, SORRY for the rant. It's a long one, I know.

Oh so sorry yoshibb, I was just celebrating the Celtics win while also blowing up some Geth on Virmire... Yeah I multitask  Nearly done with Virmire, I get pure story goodness from here, bring on the Kaidan! (I may be up late...)

It's saturday morning here already, and yes, forced to socialize because person I should've met this morning ignored damned alarm and I need to find an occupation for two more hours.

Oh, and one more thing which initially draw me to Kaidan and which I always forget to mention: migraines. Funny detail that I first heard about this when played at night because coffeine-containing meds consumed at previous day kept me awake.

Saturday night here, lol.

What drew me to Kaidan : first of all that voice, lol. Carth was my first pixelated love so having the same VA was a big plus for me. I guess I just liked the fact that Kaidan was his own man, he didnt need Shepard to fix anything for him and they were equals. He offered her advice and watched her back and was the only person my Shepard fully trusted to do that on the squad.

Horizon didn't go like I expected it to go but I think my main disappointment was Shepard's dialogue. The scene reinforced that Kaidan would stand by his principles and morals regardless of his feelings for Shepard. It made me respect him more, if that was possible, lol.

I love Kaidan because he is adult, honest, strong and a very sexy (Pixel) Men 
And he is a Sentinel, like a Swiss Knife (same goes for Miranda) very useful and versatile for all classes:D


Out of curiosity, how level you folks Kaidan in ME1?

I love Kaidan's Power Set for ME3 at least that is something BioWare make right!
I'm still impatient for the Demo & the Game self, although I know the Spoilers from the Leak.

That's funny, I was totally forced to socialize against my will last night.  I had to go to a thing with my husband where I didn't know anyone (although as it turned out a girl from my kindergarten was there), to "make friends."  I tried to explain that I have plenty of friends in here, but my argument was unconvincing.  He won with the open bar argument.  Well played, hubbs, well played.

Don't worry, most native speakers don't either.  And don't even get me started on the subjunctive.
I also have no artistic talent, but fortunately we have Geira and Winde, and many others, to share their genius with us.

Lol, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, you put this seed in my head, now i can't help picturing it as well and i'll be truly disappointed if we won't see this scene in game

Also, uh, i finally forced my bf to play ME, i'm proud of myself, better late than never. I mean, he claims he has done that ages ago, but i say that's rubbish, if he had, he wouldn't be so surprised on Virmire and he would remember anything, right? RIGHT?
Did you guys have a similar experience? How can you live with that? I can't watch him screwing up so badly by not doing side missions, talking to people, etc, i know i'm too emotional about it but i just caaaaan't help yelling GO TALK TO ASH YOU MORON, NO YOU CAN'T SCREW ASARI COUNCILOR INSTEAD all the time ;_; I don't want to ruin the game for him, i don't want to spoil anything, but this is soo painful to watch, no wonder he didn't fall in love with ME universe the first time he saw it if he only did a few major missions and didn't get involved in it <_<

Sigh. But at least he saved Kaidan. Without my persuasion.

I've mentioned it before, but my best friend has 2 shepards. Obama Shepard (paragon) and Hil-dog Shepard (renegade), his favorite character is hil-dog. Its hard for me to watch him be a d*ck to everyone. And I think he always nukes kaidan just to get a rise out of me. He killed miranda and was like oopsies, I got a txt about that one, and was a d*ck to everyone but tali, joker, chawakas and garrus in ME2. It made me feel so bad. So it pains me to think about what hes going to do in ME3. q_q

Yeah, I call shenanigans.  He should totally remember having to kill a squadmate.  Maybe he started it ages ago, but never got past Noveria or something?  And I'm super proud of him for saving Kaidan.  Kaidan is a total bro for ManShep.

lol. I couldn't get my husband to play the games, though I did try. He only got as far as the citadel after Eden Prime in ME1 and that was it.. So I've been putting all the cutscenes together and we're watching it like a movie instead. He's really getting into the ME2 story. lol I'm still uploading part 7 (there's 27 half hour parts. ME1 only had 15), and he's asking me when it's going to be done... ;;
