As long time fan of "dark and bad" guys I can say that even in worst cases there is headcanon. Sagacious Zu, I <3 U...

The funniest thing is when headcanon starts to write itself. "Ingrid, you're chaotic evil with a crush on Zaeed" - "***** that, I'm going for guy which has own opinion and balls to tell me he won't abandon it on my first word" - "Damn it, I have two Shenko already and I don't need third! Ingrid! Ingr... grr".

Yes, I agree. When I read Thane's chapter on Graceyn's "If It Meant Living", it was like she had read my mind. My canon Shep is loyal to Kaidan, but if things had been different, I think she would have totally gone for Thane. Adrienne just felt this connection with Thane that started as respect and moved into a close friendship. I'm like, "Don't do it, Adrienne. You still love Kaidan no matter what has happened between you two". I'm glad she listened. Image IPB

Five single Shepard for Kaidan while it wasn't (isn't?) even confirmed that he's bi? Now that's what I call "dedication".

Well, I'm going crazy from the waiting, so it must be time to join this thread! I'm replaying my canon Femshep and planning to take her on my first run through ME3, if only to make some of those infamous Bioware statistics show more Shepards who saved Kaidan. Right now I'm one Firewalker mission away from being ready to get the Reaper IFF and start the endgame. But then the stupid Hammerhead blows up and I have to start the mission over. Again. In ME3 I want no stupid vehicles and no lava/acid pits. But I'll settle for shirtless Kaidan.

I have so few Shepards compared to most of you! I've just got one Femshep (Paragon, spacer, war hero, sentinel, faithful to Kaidan) who's gone through both games twice, then one Broshep (Renegade, colonist, sole survivor, soldier, cheated on Ashley with Tali). My husband is playing a middle-of-the-road Renagon Broshep who's staying faithful to Liara, so we've got a pretty good array of game experiences lined up for ME3. Husband did kill Kaidan on Virmire, but he felt awful immediately. Not just because I was angry with him! As much as we both adore Ashley, seeing her at Ilos and Horizon feels like a reminder that we made the wrong decision.

My biggest worry for ME3 -- I'm mostly unspoiled and hoping to keep it that way -- is that my Shepard will have to choose between saving Kaidan and saving civilians or a similar catch-22. I have no doubt that I'd pick Kaidan every time, and it sort of makes me hate myself on both a roleplay and meta-game level. Anybody else getting anxious over all the what ifs? Or maybe I'm just channeling all my graduate school admissions panic into something less life changing...

i only have two shepards one is my canon who is obviously faithful to kaidan. and one that i just started because i wanted to be a renegade for once, and because i wanted to have shepard who cheats on kaidan only to get him back in ME3. except being a renegade is harder than it looks. i just killed the rachni queen and it took me like 15 minutes to push the button.

its just so mean to kill off an entire race! i'm not sure i'll be able to finish my renegade play through...

I just cant do renegade, all my Shep's end up being the same. I can't be mean in real life, you'd think I would be let loose in a game but I just cant.

I want cool evil scars too :(

I have two femsheps that I've completely finished and are ready for ME3. Finished one male through ME1 but I just don't feel like going any further with him. Maybe I'll half ass it and lose a bunch of squadmates. I played him as a renegade jerk anyway. I'm planning to do one more femshep before ME3 that I'll probably start the week before. Kind of like a ME marathon leading up to the end of the trilogy.

Hi, rianna (what's the preferred capitalisation, by the way), and nice to meet you! It's always a pleasure to see new people joining (or old people delurking) our big crazy family :)

Huh, I've just read your post and understood why I deliberately got myself spoiled - we don't have any serious exams for 1st year master students here, so I had nothing life changing to worry about. Interesting theory :) Or it's just me CHAAAARGE!!! -ing at problems :)

My canon is renegade.
Might romance Kaidan, although I suspect Kaidan may not abide his renegade leanings.

You don't have to kill Rachni queen to be full Renegade or even to get quest about Darius. No need to kill everyone on Feros either. Poor NPCs had it bad from this Shepard, though.

I fail to understand how person who spared Rachni Queen, colonists on Feros, saved the Council, activated Legion, rewrote geth, encouraged quarians for peace, EDIT: forgot about David Archer who was sent to Grissom Academy and sent Normandy's crew back with escort is still Renegade, but game doesn't seem to mind. The only persuasion check I've failed was on LotSB, but standard renegade option worked just fine staying-in-character wise. Another moment which I could possibly fail was Tali/Legion confrontation, but Tali was disloyal as result of her LM; she still survived SM, though.

Or you just going to "completely different playthrough"? Then it's justified, but it it's painful to do, maybe it's better to YouTube parts?

Currently sipping coffee and greatly enjoying this pic. :wizard:

I love renegade Shepard. I have one (although technically renegon) and I absolutely adore her. She has wonderful spice in her personality, which makes her super fun to RP.

So, does anyone think we might get the femshep/Kaidan trailer this week? :o

actually my biggest problem is my lack of patience. i may only have two shepards but my canon shep has been imported so many times that i cant stand to sit patiently through cutscenes. so i skip converstations and end up choosing the neutral option<_<. and i dont talk to the other crew members. so i lose out on chances to be mean there. which really doesnt help when trying to be a renegade.

so i killed the rachni queen to make up for it.

and i'm pretty sure being nice to kaidan doesnt really help.

one upside though, i've finally learned that wrex is awesome! i love when gives his  two cents in! its hilarious

Well, as far as dialogue choices and all that. One of the things I found interesting in DA2 was the way Hawke's Cutscene dialogue changed based on your previous dialogue choices.

I was astounded. I replayed the game as a smartass, and to hear brand new dialogue based on that was a delightful surprise. And of course sum of the NPC reaction to it. They were like: "Wait...wha...?"

Love that picture so I'm keeping it!
@Soccerchic6:  How do you know I wasn't reading your mind? :innocent:

Hmm...5 femSheps, all romanced Kaidan, 4 full Paragon with varying splashes of Renegade, those 4 stayed loyal; 1 full Renegade but with a heavy splash of Paragon, she cheated with Thane...which would be why I could so easily write a "non-romance romance" for Thane's chapter ^_^.

It's so much more fun playing renagade for me. At first it was really hard, but after I was finally able to kill the rachni queen, everything was much easier. I never thought I could kill the coucil but somehow it happened. ME2 is so funny when you're a renegade. But the one thing I can't do is be evil to Salarians or most other aliens. I can't be a xenophobe. It was really sad when I killed Mordin's salarian student. That's the only Salarian I have ever hurt on purpose. Oh and Dr. Heart in ME1 but I did give him a chance and he ran away, so that really wasn't my choice.

I have 4 Shepards. I have 1 paragon that's faithful to Kaidan, 1 renegade that moved from Kaidan to Thane, 1 renegade that I'm working on that will move on to Garrus, and 1 paragon male that will go from Ashley to Miranda then go back to Ashley. Then I think I want to make a Shepard that's a renegade but stays faithful to Kaidan.

I wish Kal'reegar could be a romancable squadmate in ME3. The way he talks reminded me of Kaidan. The way he says "Ma'am" to prove he wasn't out of line in what he was saying made me crush on him like with Kaidan in ME1. Maybe if Tali dies...he can replace her. I really want to see how quarians look especially him :P

this could be because i skimmed over some of these but no one mentioned it to my knowledge

has anyone ever done a paragon turned renegade? i think from a story point of view it would be interesting.

shepard starts out a paragon trying to be the best person she can be, but after dying, the alliance turning their back on her, kaidan telling her she's a traitor and all that jazz, she's pissed at the world and says screw it. i'm done being this perfect hero who does things the hard way because its the right thing to do. from now on its my way or the highway.

idk i think it would be interesting.

you just describe Jacqui, my sentinel.  except most of her hate is still aimed at Cerberus, she blames them first and foremost.  She's disenchanted with alliance and the council, mostly becasue they didn't even give her the chance to prove that she was still loyal.  but other then that - very angry, very  "screw you all"  Shepard of mine.  she's meant for Vega, if he's available.  She and Kaidan are going to have slightly strained relationship at first, I hope it will be possible to start out strained but then progress back to friendship.

I agree with you, that would be interesting to play it that way.

I was actually planning on doing the opposite which really doesn't make sense. I was going to make one of my renegade Shepard's become paragon after coming back to life. My reason was that somehow during my reviving something was changed in my brain. So I come back with a different personality but the thing is that my background is Ruthless. How can I still be ruthless if I'm good now? I don't know if I'll go through with that.

well - ruthless is just a label (you can roleplay that Torphan didn't exactly go down the way people say, and maybe she did try to do everything she could, but the battle kept going wrong).

another one of my femsheps was a renegade in ME1, but not, mwahaha, I'm evil - renegade, but rather - ends justify the means, so tough choices have to be made - renegade. once she gets a second chance at life, she starts to look back at her choices and wonders if this sort of decisions making process was really necessary. so she makes a lot of mistakes in an opposite direction, sometimes giving people second chances even though she shouldn't have. I'm going to balance her out in ME3.

edited, bah - top.
