I hate that destroy brings the Geth and EDI aliong with the Reapers. They're not evil and shouldn't be punished for us wanting to stop the Reapers when they're helping us. I honestly expect Joker to cut Shepard out of his life once he finds out that Shepard killed EDI.

Same here. If Shep could finally have Ashley, then I don't care for geth, EDI, mass relays, etc. My Shep was not fighting and struggling for walking/talking machines but for Ash....

Well I'm sure you've all heard about the ending "clarification", i.e., they're too afraid to admit the ending sucks. All it does it confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt the whole Patrick Weekes "leak" was actually in fact true, as all of the additional supporting posts he made backs up.

Maybe this time casey and mac will be humble enough after what happened to allow the writing to go through the peer review process the entire rest of the writing went through. If you were ever curious about how everything could possibly fall apart so badly in the last 10 minutes, look no further. And yes I am aware bioware PR people are claiming this "leak" was false, which is why the article here takes a second look at the evidence to show it's not.

It was a tough call, but I didn't pick destroy so Shepard lives. I honestly didn't expect him to. I chose it because it was the only one where I could be 100% sure that the biggest threat, the Reapers, were gone. In a situation like that, I see no room for mistakes. That is why I picked the one without any doubt as to how the Reapers would react - they would fall. I hated it, but I could see no other way.

Yep, this. The galaxy is at stake, I never want to take the chance that just maybe the reaper will come back.
Although at the point that you get to pick the ending you have to put all your faith that the AI child is not lying to your face about the options. The first playthrough I picked synthesis cuz I thought bioware might pull a fast one and that the destroy option was a ruse.

That was a reaper that was only disabled and being held in place by the brown dwarf. The core was still online.

Given that the first thing you see after beating the game is a PDA message urging you to buy DLC, I'm guessing that you'll be able to have your cake and eat your seperate cake on this one.

If we get a chance to reunite with Ash/other LIs and crew, then maybe I'll buy from Bioware again.
Right now I'm ready to signal defeat, rather than claim victory...
