That picture says it all, shepard and ash are just perfect for each other. It would be nice if the bioware gives them rest of their lives to rise a family together.

I am not a very good writer but here is my.....

My letter to Bioware:

Dear Bioware/EA,
I would like you know a little about me my name is Malcom Stewart and I am 19 years old and I absolutely love Mass Effect.

I have been a hardcore Mass Effect before the first came out ; I remember counting down the days until the first game released; and when the game finally released I literally teared up with joy. I always liked video games as a kid but when I played the first Mass Effect I love in love. Never before have cared so much about a game and it's character it truly changed my life. The Mass Effect trilogy is truly a marvel I loved each game; Mass Effect 3 is my favorite but I do have quite a few concern I would like to share with you. I very much against the current ending but I will make a separate letter for that.  Ashley Williams is my favorite character so this letter will be mainly about her and her role in ME3.

Ashley Williams was great in ME3 I really enjoyed her romance but to brutally honest she doesn't have any use outside of that; she was so down played in ME3 and didn't get enough of a voice. In ME1 Ash was loud spoken not only about her opinions but her feelings for Shepard. Ashley was only truly  during the Mars mission she was vocal about her distrust of Shepard and Cerberus but then still admitted she loved Shepard and I really liked that; but I thought it went way too far she spends too much of the game mistrusting Shepard and after she comes back abroad the Normandy she doesn't have a voice.

It is so disappointing that outside the drunk scene you never you get an actual conversation with on the Normandy. I wanted more her she never really got a chance to shine; and even after we rekindled our romance she stayed quiet. Ashley Williams and being quiet do not go together she needs more of a presence; even the crew barely mention her. We never got to see her interact with the crew, if toy never talked to her it was almost like she wasn't there.

There is a huge gap of content from rekindling to the romance to the romance scene. I will say I loved every romantic moment with Ash however few there were. Mass Effect 3 was amazing but things about Ashley really bother me, I would appreciate it if something was done to rectify Ashley's role in ME3. I have several friends who are Ashley fans as well and hope their voices are heard as well.

Thank you,

Malcom Stewart

Nice Malcolm! ;)

Right here "Ashley was only truly during the Mars mission she was vocal about her distrust of Shepard and Cerberus but then still admitted she loved Shepard and I really liked that" you have a space between truly and during. Other than that nicely done. :)

It's nothing big and I'm guilty of it quite often myself, but you should proofread that. If you don't care, I could correct it for you. It's just grammar, but it'll help your letter be more professional.

Another question then, Why is the big battle on Grissom Academy so hard as a Vanguard?

Actually, since I'm bored I'm going to write you a mini-essay on this.

Adapting military tactics to an game doesn't always work, but hear me out on this one.

A smaller force's greatest advantage is it's potential energy. In other words, this is its ability to move around the battlefield at will and strike at the enemy's weakpoints. Potential energy is lost when you close with the enemy or they close with you. Generally speaking, a smaller force is always better to keep it's distance to retain it's energy so that it can strike or withdraw as it sees fit.

Closing with the enemy has it's advantages - it's an aggressive strategy and also high risk. This is where the vanguard applies. A smaller force closing with the enemy must pick it's moment carefully. If it decides to close, it must have an advantage in precision firepower or terrain. In the scenario you described, you are out-gunned and out-numbered, so it is not wise to close in. You do however have an advantage in terrain: elevation. You will not however be closing with the enemy as they will be closing with you. Using that ramp on the right allows you to control the battlefield and project fire upon the enemy. You are forcing the enemy to fight on your terms by controlling the centre and funneling everything else down a corridor on either flank. Controlling the flanks is crucial in pulling this off, so make sure your squad mates are well positioned - you may need to bolster their side at some point too.

The short answer is that the vanguard doesn't adapt well to this situation. Keep the enemy at arms length and make sure your flanks are secure and you'll be fine.

===============================================================================

Okay, now that the mini-essay on military science is done with, I present you the latest work of the excellent YouthCultureForever!

http://social.biowar...entry_id=212422

It's people like YCF and the rest of the gang that keep me from giving up on Mass Effect. Thank-you all!

***

Shar, try adding some blur to that picture. If that doesn't work, resize it a little as well - you should be able to get away with lowering the resolution to compensate. :)

***

@TNS, just be thankful you didn't rant. I have a really bad habit of going on random tangents for no discernable reason. This post is an example of that!

Don't take it as me being a grammar ****, just trying to help out. I took AP English classes throughout high school so it's OCD for me to proofread EVERYTHING even if it is not my own work.

EDIT: Even then, I proofread my own revision and found a few mistakes myself.
