Has anyone tried Ash with that particle rifle yet? She was terrible with the Valkyrie.

Ash related question:  Which weapons did you give Ash during your playthroughs?  I usually had Garrus on my squad for sniping, so Ash was usually on Assault Rifle, but I could never decide which was best.  Looking at those pics, the Revenant looks like a good choice .

Non-Ash related question: How did you guy setup custom profile pics?

Uhh... I tried Javik with the Particle Rifle if that counts for anything. It sucked. Hands down.

Revenant X with Black Widow X.

I'm trying out different ARs for her but none have matched the Revenant yet.

IMHO it's like Particle rifle in ME2. Good on lower difficulties, less good on higher. Well, I played only Narrative and Insanity, so...  Not sure for ammo powers, it definitely not inherit penetration ability of AP ammo. IMHO Ash works good with Falcon (unlimited ammo) and with any high ROF but low accuracy guns. But I had just few mission with her for obvious reasons.

Widow, Valiant, Black Widow, Javelin for SR (not in that order), mainly concentration module plus long barrel. Sometime replace with AP mod. Helped several times.
AR mostly Mattock (I didn't get Argus or Valkyrie idea), sometimes Revenant (for ROF in close combat) or Falcon (for AoE). Mods generally AP and barrel.
But IMHO it not that much matters what you give them - on my first insanity run I had Garrus/James duo for most missions, layout was standard - Mattock, Valiant, Crusader/GPS. Played as soldier, with AP ammo bonus power.

I won't bother then - I use her as base of fire mostly so the Revenant works just fine for that.

I equipped Ash with the M-76 Revenant X and Black Widow X, both with damage and piercing mods. For some reason, your squaddies have an aim-bot with automatic weapons, so you don't have to worry about recoil or accuracy issues with them. Plus, the Revenant has the most ammo per clip and deals a fair bit of damage for an automatic weapon, so your squaddies can continuously lay down covering fire for you.

My buddy who play as REMF mostly, liked Particle rifle, but he rely mostly on his class abilities and PR is just another ability mostly. I play as soldier and rely on guns (since they screw us with weght system), all 5 of them. PR is accurate and relatively powerful, but need to be out of cover to do constant damage is overkill for you on Insanity. Plus lack of penetration. But she's accurate, I give her that.

I sometimes have her use the Falcon, she seems to be pretty decent with that. But I haven't tried her with the Revenant yet so I'll have to try that out.

Mattock rifle and Black Widow. Every time she's using the Black Widow she's taking my kills. I should just sit down and watch while she's taking care of the rest lol.

She's taken far too many of my kills and probably has prevented me from getting the 5000 enemies killed achievement but I'm ok with that.

Strange, I have feeling I got that on my third playthrough. Probably because I replayed some "horde mode" episodes? IIRC it's around 1.5K enemies per playthrough. Just for ruthless calculus sake.

@BP93: Haha, I can just imagine her in a competetive MP game where she's that one person on my team who always steals my kills. Wouldn't make me the least bit happy, but nonetheless I'd be glad she's on my team.

That's how I felt about it, with all the flaws ME3 has it made the first one seem that much better then the last time I played it.  It was almost like playing it for the first time.

Me2 is way better than 1, at least there you can avoid squadmate death instead of having one forced on you.

That's true.

The biggest thing for me is the combat mechanics. I enjoyed combat in ME2 much more than I did in 1. Then along comes ME3 and improves it all again!

I think it's Ash bomb time.
