@BP93: Haha, I can just imagine her in a competetive MP game where she's that one person on my team who always steals my kills. Wouldn't make me the least bit happy, but nonetheless I'd be glad she's on my team.

Me2 is way better than 1, at least there you can avoid squadmate death instead of having one forced on you.

But it had great impact on 1 ... i wasnt really bothered with getting rid of Kaiden... no offence to Kaiden lovers

Agreed, I felt so bad when I left Ash behind on my FemShep... So I decided to leave Kaidan behind and start something with Garrus. <3

That's how I felt about it, with all the flaws ME3 has it made the first one seem that much better then the last time I played it.  It was almost like playing it for the first time.

Yeah, It is worthy of motivator: "finished ME3? Heavy depression? Replay ME1" Image IPB
One buddy of mine ended up drinking wodka. Poor soul. "We should charge Bioware for moral harm and suffering!"

Nothing way better there. Yes, ability to save team-mates and Fai Dan could be welcomed in ME1, but in all other aspects...
Yes, I hate ME2 projectiles velocities that much.

Eh, have to disagree there, ADL. While I do like the fact in ME2 that you could avoid squadmate deaths on the SM, it made it feel unrealistic as it was intended to be a suicide mission after all. Some losses should have been expected. While forced on you, Virmire on the other hand I praised because it felt so realistic. It was something I loved and yet hated at the same time. By no means did I make the decision to save Ash or Kaidan lightly. (literally spent 5 minutes my first time around before making the decision) I found myself in a rage to hunt down Saren to his demise, no matter what the cost because he was solely responsible for what happened on Virmire. It showed that even the best plans can go awry.
On the topic of gameplay, ME2 owns that.
Storywise, ME1 owns that.
Character interaction, ME1 owns that.

I knew taking screenshots in bitmap would bite me in the ass... <_<

Glad to see you got that sig working, TNS B).

I agree Clone, 2's gameplay is better, but it's story and interactions are a bit...off.

That's true.

The biggest thing for me is the combat mechanics. I enjoyed combat in ME2 much more than I did in 1. Then along comes ME3 and improves it all again!

I think it's Ash bomb time.

Damn right it's time! :D

Alright, can anyone explain why ME2 gameplay better? Just gameplay, a.k.a. running and gunning.

ME2 has the best character interaction imo; it was so diverse and unique.

The decision between the VS was hard for me the first until i realized how boring Kaidan was in my 2nd playthrough, i get more emotion from Space Hamster and that Fornax i bought in ME2

It's more fluid and the cover system isn't as clunky, IMO.

Best? IMHO quantity over quality, overall it left somewhere on same level. More insider party conflict (Jack/Miranda, Tali/Legion), more talking crewmembers on the ship, but little to no conversations during missions. IIRC in other aspects they are still like in ME1, same 4 talks. Give or take.

I hated the loyalty missions in ME2. After you're 2nd playthrough or so you get tired of everyone's needs. Bunch of helpless whiny...
