Ash question time.
Since Bioware has pushed the game back until march they've had tons of time to add things and they've chosen to add to realtionships. that being said alot of people who haven't played Mass Effect will pick up ME3 and be introduced to the series though it. That being said what's your opinion on Ash being a pursuable romance in ME3 with no prior Me1 or 2 saves on the hard drive/memory unit of the system a new palyer plays on?
If the gamers can take up the relationship in ME3 via the so-called extensive save geneartor/comic that is rumoured for ME3, then I am fine because it assumes the gamer has romanced Ash since ME1.
If it's in ME3 itself, then I would prefer not. I am afraid of faithful romancers getting screwed with only one or two extra lines of dialogue/allusions to ME1. Sorry to BioWare, but I don't trust them to make romances that cater to everybody.
If the save generator is in, then there's three chances to romance Ash: ME1, ME2 (Genesis), and ME3. That's plenty, in my opinion.
I also think, story-wise, it makes sense to not be able to romance Ash in ME3 without having romanced her previously, especially after Horizon.
I won't deny that I'm being selfish, that I want to have my cake and the whole buffet. But I am hoping for a satisfactory ending to my Ash romance Sheps.
That's an interesting thought; the beauty of these games is making choices that ripple throughout. Heartbraking as Horizon was, it was still recognizing that my Shepard was with her before he died. And the scene before the fight--little as it was, especially compared to the "romance" scenes--recognizing I chose to to resist potential new partners (not that I was all that tempted, but yeah) and was holding out for her.
Still, I'm not sure how practical this is since I don't think there will be many, or any, new party members/potential love interests. Casey said this final installment will be the easiest for newcomers to jump into, and while I can't fathom the idea of someone
only playing the third game, they're not just going to leave new players out in the cold.
So I would guess any love interest in the previous two games will be available for newcomers in the third, with the assumption Shepard was single until that point. It sure would be nice if it played out a little different for us, who stuck with Ash from the beginning, but...I can't count on that. At least I'll have my own sense of accomplishment.

The one bit with Ander's after his rescue attempt in the chantry that always has everyone so riled up.
Top of the page Ash....sorta kinda

OMG!!! keeper Lanaya Williams! "oh warden; my warden".../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png
Is it really any surprise she's one of the cuter NPCs in that game?
Funny, though...she has the same VO as Ashley, a male "Experienced" Elf Warden has manShep's voice, and then there's Keeper Marethari who, in the first game only, had Chakwas' voice. Coincidence?
Yes...but still!
Also, in regards to that quote...I was playing Awakening and when switching to Sigrun (assuming she's got high approval), she'll sometimes say, "Oh Commander, my Commander."
Someone at Bioware really likes that line.
