Well I think having the Horizon talk is a given among the VS groups, but after thats said and done I can see them talking about what eachother has been up too in the last few years, (Ash being a Spectre, maybe a few of her missions, working with the Council/Alliance.)ADLegend21 wrote...
Anyway, enough of the entitlement debate, it's offcially old.
what's a piece of dialogue you want to see between Ashley and Shepard? If you want you can write it out as well.
There are so many possibilties between the two of them, especially with Ash's file being classified.

Here is a scene that I have had in my head between Shepard & Ash. He is the one that loves her, but strayed with Miranda so he feels unworthy to even ask her to forgive him. It's a little corny and dumb but I thought I would share.
Lights are dimmed and the Normandy’s mess hall is empty except for Shepard. He is sitting by himself, reading “A Farewell to Arms” and drinking a cup of coffee. Ashley walks in and stops short when she sees Shepard. She hesitates but then quietly pours herself a cup of coffee and sits across from him. As she softly blows on the coffee, she keeps her eyes on Shepard, hoping that he looks up. Her wish is granted as he turns a page.
"You're up early," he notes if only to break the silence.
“Where did you find a real old-fashioned book?” She asks.
“It was a birthday gift from a friend,” he responds almost awkwardly, “She-, uh … she had a knack for acquiring unique items.”
“I see,” Ash had to force a smile when he said she. Ash wanted to talk about their relationship, about how she still loved him but after what had happened on Horizon, she was afraid that he might turn her away. She had heard that he was seeing someone new. Did he love this other woman? Had he stopped loving her? She didn't want to put him on the defensive, but she also didn’t want to lose him if there was even the slightest chance of hope.
As Ash struggled with how she felt, what she wanted to say, Shepard placed the “Winnie the Pooh” bookmarker quickly between the pages and closed the book. He had hoped that she hadn’t seen the bookmarker of the yellow bear dancing with the blond boy Christopher Robin. Tali had seen the bookmarker at a flea market on Omega and thought the little boy looked like Shepard ... or at least what he might have looked like as a boy. So when she saw Kasumi's gift a week prior, well she thought it would be a perfect gift from her. “Ash, I’m really glad to see you. I’m really gla-”
“Skipper, I’m glad too.” She interrupted as she pulled the book to her and absent-mindedly opened it up to his book marker. “I just want you to know that I prayed for you every day after Hori-”
“Me too,” now was his time to cut her off as he pulled the book back to him, hoping that she hadn’t noticed Winnie. “I have to go see Joker but maybe we can talk later?”
“I would love to.” Ash responded, as she placed her hand on his arm. “Skipper …” No, Ash was never good at expressing herself, and now even poems failed what she wanted to say. All she could do was let her name for him hang in the air between them as she looked up at him with her dark eyes, hoping that he could see her pain & her desire behind the small smile. Shepard's blue eyes revealed nothing as he smiled back. Inside he wanted to confess his love, beg forgiveness, admit he couldn't stop thinking about her. But he had lost that right when he took Miranda in his arms.
Shepard smiled as he stood, tucked the book under his arm and as he walked away, Ash thought to herself, how do we fix this Shepard? How do we find us again? And how do I keep myself from teasing you about Winnie?

KShep: Ash, do you have a moment?
Ash: Sure Skipper, I bet you have questions.
KShep: Yeah I do, when did you become a spectre?
Ash: After Horizon. Anderson said the Alliance needed a face that everyone could believe in, and who better do that then a woman who's served the Alliance despite being black listed?
KShep: so my face isn't something to believe in? Typical politicians.
Ash: Yeah, I took it because well, someone had to keep the place as savior of the galaxy warm for when you got back.
KShep: well I'm glad they made you a Spectre. If anyone deserves it, it's you.
Ash: I appreciate that skipper.
KShep: now drop and give me that twenty you owe me from the night before Ilos (the "still sassin me soldier line")
Ash: maybe later skipper.

i tell you what though, those new players are in for quit a treat if she dose turn out to be an LI for them,im thinking their not only going to get dialgoue similar to ME1s when getting to know her but also all the new stuff thats ME3 relevant.
makes me wonder what we will get as franchise ash fans.
The same as the new players get with a few "hey, remember the old days?" lines...
most likely anyway, I HOPE I'm wrong...

im wondering how many new players would actually be upset about missing out on a charecter that can be romanced in the first two games but not romanceble in the one they actually have.
would the average gamer even care about it? something to think about imo.
I think it would be a great marketing ploy if Ash isn't romancable for newbies in ME3.
If they want to experience an Ash romance they would have to buy both ME1 and ME2 which could also lead to them buying the various DLCs which means more money for Bioware.
My personal opinion is that Ashley shouldn't be romancable by newbies in ME3.
I played through ME1 and romanced her and stayed faithfull through the horror that was ME2. Now if newbies get the same romance that I would for playing ME1 and ME2 and the same romance payoff that I am getting then that would make me beyond angry.
They would have to write five romances for Ashley to make that work. (s/s with ME1 and ME2 save; s/s without previous save; MShep cheated in ME2; MShep stayed loyal throughout ME1 and ME2; MShep without previous save). I just don't see that happen.
I completely agree with you!!!
I'm sorry ADL, but it's not that we are saying new Ash fans will make us suffer.... it's that if they are included into the SAME romance with us in ME3... our content gets deluded. The only way around it is mutliple romances for a singel character... which I doubt will happen.
Call it elitist if you will, but we deserve unique content just as much as the newbies deserve to not miss out on Ash.

Sheprd was only given spectre sttus to be the flag bearer fo the alliance. You really think a sole survivor shep is an ideal spectre? tht's more akin to being left alone by a mass muderer that being amazing. Not saying Ash isn't spectacular, but being the poster girl might have something to do it but I don't care. At the end of the day she's a spectre and tht's what mattersashlover mark 2 wrote...
the theory that some have stated worries me alittle.the one where ppl say that she was only given spectre status so the alliance could have a new flag bearer since shepard is AWOL in ME2 woul suck if it turned out to be true.
tbh if she wasnt promoted due to her skill or beacuse of a previously impossible mission she pulled off at some point in time during her being MIA from shepards squad the spectre status plot would suck.
Um... Shepard was promoted to a spectre b/c he proved Saren had betrayed the council and that way they could send something after Saren to get the humans to shut up about it AND not start a war with the Terminus systems.
His backgroud was the reason Anderson and Udina chose him for the chance to be a spectre.
That's how I always took it anyway. lol
OK, I'm caught up now! lmao

i wanted her part to be longer in ME2 it was on the ship then on the planet with the collectors ship more Ashley !!! xD anyways i read that ashley will be able to rejoin u in ME3 so that awsomei already preordered the collectors edition maybe there might be something cool in there
Me too! ... I mean... I kinda breezed through my first playthrough thinking at some point I was going to see Ash again and... it never happened.
I kinda wish that whole theory, from before ME2 was out, about how Ash got stung by the seekers and (that's all we saw in the demos) she actually got taken by the collectors and we would have to go rescue her. Even though I don't really want to have to rescue her again (I'd prefer her to rescue Shepard... THAT would be badass right there!! ... p.s. and I don't mean JUST picking him up on the Normandy

Thanks Sarge! I've not done a fanfic story but I did start writing a backstory for one of my Shepards.
This little scene ran through my mind on the way to work today ... I have a 2 hour commute (each way) to work so I have to keep myself entertained. My two Shepards and their stories sometimes are that entertainment.
