I honestly think that Shepard wouldn't mind if he didn't remember. He pretty much went through political, emotional and quite literal hell during ME. I'm pretty sure he's just content with being alive and that a bit of amnesia is a small price to pay for saving the galaxy.

Besides, the important part is - Ash, his parents, his crew and a few other important people are still in there, so he should be fine.

Hmm. Will anyone actually "buy" my version of fidelity if I killed her back on Virmire, basing my judgment and calculations on my knowledge of military but not on romantic feelings?
Sort of "I liked her so much so I was ready to ignore fraternization, resulting with dishonorable discharge, but when we hit Virmire I act like I was taught in military and left her die there, but consider my Shepard as still caring for her, so give him her Photo for ME2 and chances to talk with her ghost in ME3. And yes, talk, not running through forest or having ghostly sex."
Well, if I attach my own validation from "psychologic evaluation team", maybe they'll buy it, I don't know.

Rrr is fine, but my point was mostly on sad/blue (not colour)/grief side. Ash's "ghostly visage" acts like anchor (since they took Kelly away and there is no chance to use her as psychilogist), helping him to keep his sanity and will to fight - and, if needed, to die. Sex barely fitting here, IMHO. Some light playful flirt, sort of "things which weren't shown in ME1", to cheer Shepard up. It is not clear whether he use Ash look as voice of his own conscience or her ghost is really present.

Shepard: The bugger of it all is, that I still remember all the politicians. I was hoping to forget it.

Shepard: *armfold with mock-somber nod and inhale* Yeah....
Ashley: *'relucant' expression.* It's a dirty job Skipper, but someone has to do it.

Shepard: That a challenge?

Just one thing: Shepard is partly synthetic. At least he survived that stuff the Batarian bartender put in his drink - do you really think Shep can get drunk that easily if it's not triple-distilled Ryncol by Wrex?

I know that tickets to better world are given elsewhere. There are enough cases when human has to die, yet he is alive, and even more or less kicking.
I doubt his synthetic parts somehow affects his digestion, because even I, teetotaller, finds it hard to believe he will pass out after 3 glasses (shots, whatever), not even full. IIRC Shepard passes out after 3 glasses in ME3. Or that video was edited?

The version I'm referring to is when Ash requests permission to join the Normandy, and then Shepard denies her request. Even then, Shepard's response is not brutal at all, but as Hellfire said, Ash is sort of pissed at that but understands why.

Ah thanks for posting that, I wondered when she mentioned Kaidan, I knew she did somewhere. That memorial scene was nice, the only problem with it being that it only becomes more noticable how completely out of place sounding the next few lines are.

hmm maybe it depends if ur paragon or renegade because someoen said she said somethign completely diffrent for them.
