Hmm IMO the Shepard family will consist on Ashley keeping her name, a large amount of kids, couple dogs and millions of annoying reporters outside there hous all the time. Perfect family?

My King of the Boy Scouts (as Jack would say) Shepard would be totes OK with Ash keeping her last name.

Interesting question though, because on one hand, Ash is a pretty traditionalist lady who would probably be fine with taking her man's name. But on the other hand, she does have a very strong attachment to her family and her family's legacy. I dunno, tough call. I'm gonna err on the side of tradition and say Ash takes the Shepard name.

Also, I saw an adorbs headcanon on that ME headcanon tumblr where somebody's femshep and Kaidan named their first daughter Ashley. I'm totally stealing that, and my Shepley's first son will be named Kaidan.

Meh, that's okay. My Shepard and Ash are both good shots with a sniper rifle.

EDIT: Also, I'm sure uncle Garrus wouldn't mind dropping by now and then to help with that.

what if Vega expressed an interest in Ash, (he doesn't know she's with Shep) and, being the ultimate jerks, the crew along with Shep expresses that he should go for it.

Also - I imagine if a Shepley child was concieved during the night before the Cerberus raid, then they'd be exposed to so much Eezo that they'd have no choice but to become a biotic powerhouse  - and My Shepard is a Solider-turn-Vanguard post Lazarus. Who else is better to teach her control?
