Also - I imagine if a Shepley child was concieved during the night before the Cerberus raid, then they'd be exposed to so much Eezo that they'd have no choice but to become a biotic powerhouse  - and My Shepard is a Solider-turn-Vanguard post Lazarus. Who else is better to teach her control?

I would on one condition: if this Extended Cut pulls it off and seals the gaps of these plotholes. (at least the majority of them) If that DLC should fail, then this had better be free.
And I don't see EAWare taking their "sweet time" to put any effort into making this into effect. They didn't do this in ME2 with the exception of Lair of the Shadow Broker, so I have little-to-no reason to believe that they'd do it now. It would "waste" their so-called "precious time". <_<

Is there any indication that the EC is even going to offer us the opportunity to reunite with our LI's? I imagine it might be difficult for those that chose anything other than the Destroy ending.

Other than EAWare's "good word", there's no indication whatsoever unfortunately.

For the sake of discussion, how in the world would a reunion with an LI (Ash to stay on-topic) even work with Control or Synthesis?

CONTROL- What, does Shep send a Reaper emissary (Squid or husk?) down to Ash & just say, "Hey, honey. I is da Reapers now."?

SYNTHESIS- I guess it'd work similar to the geth consensus? Just shared consciousness, "Hey everybody! Shep, here! I is a part of all of you & you are all a part of a Toyota Prius."

I don't believe for one second our beloved Ashley would be too thrilled with either of those choices.

Yes and no.
Yes - they'll put down their guns and settle down one day. I dunno when and where, but that's their future.
Also can see they're having a Sabbatical after the war, means, leaving the Alliance for a year and return later (given the fact the endings get changed in Summer).

No - even if they put down the guns forever, they won't leave the Alliance entirely. I can't see them taking a full desk job.
In that case, their future careers could be:

- Diplomat
That's Shepard's job. He's still a Spectre but thanks to his reputation (mine is 95% paragon), he's also a great diplomat.
Ashley won't go down that path.

- Advisor
That's a job for both. Shepard & Ash are advisors of the Alliance. That job isn't defined clearly, so they might have major freedom here.

- Instructor
More or less a job for both: Shepard is a N7 instructor, Ashley can end as an instructor for "regular" special units.
