I may not agree with certain character's views but that's why I like them. I don't hate any characters either.

I can understand why Javik can rub people the wrong way though initially. You know, I'm surprised we haven't seen more posts about him being xenophobic/racist.

Javik explains that the Protheans had their own problems with synthetics. He's been in stasis for what, 50,000 years? How is he supposed to know the full nature of the Geth?

I think his situation is remarkably similar to Ashley's except more exaggerated.

There was also a reference (in reply to Ash, I think) to Edwin Shepard's colonist backround. Which made me happy.

In ME2, your background was barely referenced at all.

Yeah. I think Ash said something about the Eden Prime colonists "rebuilding," and Shep says something like, "they rebuilt on Mindoir. It wasn't the same."

I had Ash with me. Javik is an interesting character - but I definitely don't get why ppl want to romance Mr. Spacetroll. At least at the beginning he's one. At the end he seems to be the Prothean most ppl had in their mind. ^^

There isn't one of the main characters, well squadmates anyway, that I dislike or would say anything bad about cause I've spent so much time talking with them and learning everything they have to share with you. So for so many people to say they dislike one character seems...harsh to say the least.

People want to romance Javik? I mean... ew.

I had a hard decision between picking Ash or Javik for the Thessia mission, btw. Javik wasn't getting used much, but I wanted Ash with me as much as possible. In the end, I went with Javik, because I thought there were more missions to the game left than there really were.

As much as I'd like to have Ash with me on Thessia, I think that Javik was the right decision. His dialouge there, especially in the asari temple, just seems "right."

I pretend that Ash, Garrus, and James took the other shuttle to a different part of the planet to help evacuate civilians and wounded.

When I first got to know him I thought that he was a douche, but an honest douche. Honesty is a quality I really appreciate. I don't care what you have to say as long as you are honest about it. I wish more people would be up-front and honest rather than hiding their opinions in other places.

I guess that's another reason I like Ash: she isn't afraid to call bull**** on something Shepard says or does.

I took Ash on the Thessia mission as I'd already datamined the lines for Javik!

I'm more worried what he's going to throw things out of with the lack of an airlock.

That was just the final nail in the coffin for me, that scene. I didn't know whether to laugh at the awkwardness of it all or just cry in despair!

ME1 you were just a plain jerk to everyone.

ME2 you were just a hardass.
 
ME3 you're finally full-fledged evil bad ass.

ME3's renegade blows the other two out of the water IMO. I mean killing Mordin/sabo'ing the cure/possibly betraying Wrex, letting Samara off herself/killing Falere, shooting Ash/Kaidan (which I've never done btw) and Udina, being responsible for both Legion and Tali's death, shooting TIM.

I loved it. The renegade responses during conversations were more harsh too, where it made you question what would happen if you chose it because it was so harsh. I only paragon during scenes with Ash to get the romance secured.

Shooting TIM was fun... but im replaying it 

The one that got me the "holy ****" reaction was when Samara off'ed herself and then I had the option to kill Falere too. I was stunned when I first did that.

I took the renegade interrupt with that quarian admiral simply because my paragon Shep was mad at him.

I was expecting Shep to chew him out. Instead, he punched him. Right in the gut.

I laughed, I honestly did. The jerk deserved it. It's totally out of character with my Shep, though, so I don't consider it to be "official" for him.

I prefer my TIM doing "The Saren". Too bad that didn't happen in my first playthrough and I can't get my ass moving for a second run. I just can do it until Ash is hurt ... but that's it. I remember the bad endings and the bad treatment of Ash as character and ... can't move on.

Meh. It's really hard to play that game if you really love a particular character that got sidelined like that ...

I just sped through as quickly as possible to get her back. Not the same, but it's something.

Shame you basically have to maximize how many missions you can do with her just to get more content out of a character. <_<
