No one wants to get this thread closed, hmm?
Speaking of: not enough Ashley goodness on this page.

The last few pages have been good. On a related note I ran Ash over with a steamroller. The results are somewhere around here.
Anywho, lolwut? Ran over Ash with a steamroller?
Soz I meant threads on the story and campaign forums not here - all seems good here

And my legs are burning. Apparently racing up and down a lengthy stair case 25 times and then running 2 miles on top does that to you.

Diary Entry #2
Private Log, Entry #3101
Lieutenant Commander John Shepard
============================
They told me my memories may return one day and they gave me this datapad. Contains a copy of my personal logs I started to record years ago - when I joined the military. Not that I remember anything - most is lost in the past. Friends, comrades ... I don't think I'll recognize any of them when meeting them again.
I'm just catching up ... more than ten years of my life. Seems I did something heroic in the last few months - or years. Can't figure it out yet, it's too complicated. And it seems I went through hell. Not just one time but thrice! And ... that's a miracle. I died once. Came back years later. Heck, I don't believe half of the stuff that's written down here - it simply doesn't make sense to me.
Whatever, it seems to be true. Admiral ... Hackett, think that's right ... gave me a ton of gongs for the sh*t I have done and can't remember. And somehow I believe I don't want to remember.
Just one thing bothers me. A name ... one out of many. "Ashley Williams" - I wonder who she is? Need to catch up on that field too. Seems she was close to me - really close. Man ... it's like watching some different man's story. Like digging in the private stuff. Is that really me? I'm no hero. And from what I can remember, I just entered service as a grunt. Just one of many ... a soldier.
Guess it's going to take a while.
Shepard signing off.

Haha well I didn't have to deal with anything like that fortunately.
Some Rocky music would have been nice though.

Just want to say hello to this group. I've been reading this thread for awhile and haven't been able to post. I finally fixed the problem (had to register the game). Anyhow, I really enjoy this thread and especially all the dialogue writings (Thanks dahellrider and CptData). Dahellrider's fanfic writings finally got me to write, too! Hope we have more pancakes soon.
hahah thanks, took a little break, but i have some stuff comming soon. Man I want to do another pancake dia. Still thinking of how it could go.

Dear Bioware,
My Shepard, Edwin Shepard, is a colonist, a war hero, and a paragon. He doesn’t have any family left – all of his closest relationships are with the people he serves with, and the people on his squad.
When Edwin Shepard arrived on Eden Prime during ME1, he met Ashley Williams. He was impressed by her the moment he saw her. Her entire squad was down and she wasn’t expecting help, but she fought anyway. At the end of that mission, Shepard was rendered unconscious by a prothean beacon, after pulling Ashley out of the way. Ashley was clearly worried that she was to blame, but Shepard reassured her otherwise. He began to develop feelings for her when he saw the way she smiled in response to that reassurance.
Over the course of ME1, Shepard would only grow to respect Ashley more. They held deep conversations on topics like religion, politics, and family life. They discovered that they had much in common, and even when they disagreed, Shepard felt nothing but respect for Ashley’s opinion. Indeed, he began to rely on her as someone willing to “call him out” if she disagreed with his view on important decisions.
By ME2, their relationship had turned into a romance, but they were sadly ripped away form each other. Shepard didn’t like working for Cerberus, but did so out of necessity – his fear, by then almost an obsession, with the Reapers had blinded him to what was right. When Shepard met Ashley again on Horizon, she stayed true to her form and called him out on this. Shepard was angry at first. But, he eventually realized how unfair it was to ask Ash to abandon her duty to the Alliance to work for a terrorist organization. He realized that he was wrong and she was right. So, he stayed loyal, and when ME3 came around, he knew he was going to put the hard effort into repairing their relationship that Ash deserved.
Ash was wonderfully written in ME3, especially the romance scenes. However, after Ash returned to the Normandy, she had so little to say to the point of seeming distant, especially when one recalls their wonderfully deep conversations in ME1. It seems like there is so much more that can be explored in their relationship, including Ash’s adjustment to being Spectre, mutual curiosity over what the other was doing during ME2, and conversations on Ash reintegrating into the Normandy. I would love to see more opportunities for us to interact with all of our LIs, including Ash – as well as the opportunity for them to somehow have a peaceful life together after the end of the game.
Sincerely,
DWH1982
