My ex- was not a Catholic but a Jew - and that already resulted in some issues ...

yeah, i see what you mean, being an atheist can get so awkward at times, especially when all of your friends are religious.

Well to be fair, making so many accounts just adds to the "spam".

Meh, depends on what you're doing. I mean if your friends ask you to go to church or something then yeah.

You have to realize no matter what "belief" you have there's still gonna be some bad apples. I identify myself as a Christian, but I have no problem with people who don't believe. It's their choice, who am I to say otherwise? Doesn't affect my view of you.

We're so off topic and TNS isn't even here. lol

Well, Jews, if they are religious one, generally don't care about rest. We simply don't exist for them. Rest of "less religious" Jews... I guess it's more family/person related, actually - since from point of view of religious Jews these, less religious Jews don't exists for them too.
Yeah, I had my share of conversations...

Regarding proud believers - I still think it is personally related. How two people fits and whether can they accept baggage of "significant other" or not.

I know one pair from Praga, girl was from very "believing" family, but was quite happy to be away with less "believing" husband.

IMHO it's like army - all regulations and manuals, but some sort of freedom could exist. Or could not. Depends on unit.

Eh, then again, he's been posting that he's "tns" on other's profiles and getting the same friends added again, so it's not really a surprise to me that the Mods found and banned him so quickly. At this point, he might as well serve out his sentence instead of trying to defeat the law. At least, it's the smart thing to do.

And what sentence we talk about? Day, week? It's like transition from Arrival to ME3 - nothing is certain and lots of speculations from everyone.

Wonder if TNS got a perma ban or just a temporary one. In case of a permanent ban he must have screwed up royally.

@Rudy / BP93

True. Mixed religious beliefs in a relationship can become a real obstacle. My fiancee is a Protestant - but a very, very weak one. So it never became an issue at some point. Her parents are light believers and they like me too.

However, if you run into a strong believer, things get complicated. Not only your love needs to be strong enough to accept the partner's religion, s/he also has to respect yours. And that's especially complicated for those without a religion at all - or an "opposite" religion.

To keep it Ashley:

Ash is religious. Some people say she's a strong believer. I say, she does believe in a God, but doesn't follow strictly her religion's path. Since she appears to be Hispanic / part Hispanic, I'd say it's sure to assume she's catholic. Now I know there are quite strict branches and more liberal believers in our days, so some don't go into the physical part of a relationship before marriage while others do. The fact Ash had sex with Shepard TWICE - plus Ash claimed to be a "hellcat on and off the battlefield" gives me the idea she's not strict.
Also since she never went into detail about her religion speaks for itself: she has a religion but don't throw it at anyone. Her PoV is quite liberal. Not "open minded" from the beginning, but she's eager to learn.
That's also a trait for more liberal religious people.

So Ash follows a (most likely christian) religion, but is very liberal in that field.

Yeah, having a rather religious family, but being an atheist myself, it's even made those relations quite distant. (I should add they do believe I'll go to hell, so I understand their concern)

I agree, especially the fact she doesn't want to impose her religion on you whatsoever makes her tolerant. I've always been interested in trying to find out how much of her believe is strictly based on her parents, or if it's her own believe.
A lot of her views on life seem to be those of her family, and her experience can't have been all that broad..making for a rather one sided argument for her to give. It's been one of the joys of ME1 to try and shake her free of those views that seem to have been taught to her, and give her the other side of the story, not choosing for her, but trying to find out whether she truly believes in the views she holds and thus find out who the real Ashley is. For me at least.

Yeah, very tolerant. To aliens, cerberus, cerberus again, swimsuits, than cerberus and trusting former commander. Pretty much tolerant.
^Sarcasm^
Sorry, I'm a horrible person.

IMHO problem here that during those six talks and total lack of writing (personal file anyone?) it is almost impossible to do that. They gave us "draft of outline sketch", only hinting on her character (any many others).

Feros + Mako = nightmare.

I want to find the person who designed that level and dangle them off of the top of Eiffel tower.

If TNS has been IP banned then I will feel very guilty...lol.

As long as people don't try and shove their beliefs down my throat I'm okay with them. Ash didn't do that so it's a non-issue for me.

Playing ME1 has made me miss the squad member chatter (as well as the Spectre gear). Some of Ash's comments are fantastic and more often than not she says exactly what I'm thinking. I'm think I'm going to save her once again. I can't bear leaving her and besides, I need my sledgehammer to plow through the hordes of Geth I have yet to face.

ME1 feels a lot less fluid than than 2 and 3, but it has so much more to offer - including copious amounts of Ash!

ME2 is not as good as ME1 in only a couple of ways IMO.
1. The relationships you have with the VS, Ash in particular are awsome and funny ecspecially Ash and Kaidans flirting
2. Just the lack of me2 weapons, even if they were just named different in me1, i still found the lack of more than a couple weapons per catagory boring in me2

You! You, of all people! With your OFP/ArmA experience!
It's not NFS, stepping on the gas won't work. And zig-zagging too. That area when we climb/descent from one highway on another via collapsed section is one really "bumpy" place. And only if you drive carelessly.

Better let that person be responsible for the ending.

Playing ME1 after ME3 makes me feel very sad, seeing how they murdered a lot of good moments, giving us nothing. And I can't force myself to replay ME2.

IMHO in ME2 they shifted accents from "global" to "local". Problem is, they didn't developed it properly and at full extent they should. They just add more bewbs and dem hips and asses. Substituition of principles and, maybe, concepts.

In ME3 they tried to return to back to basics, but failed royally: we have horrible "local" part and "backgrounds", and global... Well, it doesn't feel like global. More "local" and "just for show", really.

I know, I'm vague, but the speculations!Posted Image

Pfeh. "fliud". Yes, you can't ran that fast and do those rolls. I don't remember anyone from our "SWAT" type units ever pefrormed "roll". Training - yes, standard drill. Combat? Not to mention "cover-teleport". Nah, I'd better stick to slow and boring ME1. Or ArmA. Sahrani on foot cross-country orienteering?Posted Image

As someone who is religious I personally found that even more endearing about her but as it's been said I think the fact that she doesn't force it down peoples throats is to be commended, I can't stand it when religious people act all better than thou!!!

i think it oversimplified it.
- prefer the phoenix armor
- prefer the bun hair
- prefer her makeup/better ME3 look
- preferred her overall in ME1/2
