Yes, about her content. There is noting wrong but it's not enough. Well, I think there is nothing more to say about that, this question alredy was discussed too many times.Dannycni wrote...
One of the first things people who don't like Ashley always say is about her being 'racist' but as you said if you just talk and get involved with the character it becomes pretty obvious she isn't. I also agree with yu that i don't think any other relationship is as well done as Shepard and Ashleys, it's brilliant even though a bit lacking in ME3 but thats not the characters fault

Yes, I think you right. But politicians in Mass Effect evrytime worked for interests of theyre people, including Udina.Dannycni wrote...
Oh I hated Udina immediatly, glad Anderson punched him and he got what was coming to him. It's a very human thing to not like politicians and so I imagine that dislike for them would continue on in the future. But she was willing to pull a gun on Shepard to save Udina at first and she is very loyal to the Alliance so maybe she doesn't hate politicians as much as you think
I never saw any reason to hate Udina either, he was just doing his job after all. I understand you could hate him, but I find it a shame he was antagonized too, it wasn't really necessary or well-explained.Ushanka wrote...

But I have to say, there is only on side of Ashley that I don't like. She hates politicians. I understand that politics is a durty thing but someone need to do this job. Honestly, I liked Udina, but he became a traitor, that was sad.

Hello everybody!
So I've been reading for this thread at least... one month, I think. Well, what to say about me, I just another fan of Mass Effect from first part and ect. and ect. I suppose you heard storys like that thousand times already.
Well, what I think about Ash? I see that she is the one of the difficultest character in Mass Effect story. When I first saw her on Eden Prime she didn't impress me. But when the story started to develop I admitted that she is pretty amusing. And then comes this dialoge where Ashley says that she don't trust aliens. After this I started to think that Ash is a racist. This was pretty unpleasant for me, but it didn't stop my wish to understand that character. After all what i read and saw i undertand that she isn't racist at all. In Mass Effect 3 happens evrething that she warned about. What about Shepard/Ashley... I think Williams is the best possible woman for our dear galactic hero.(I'm a Sheploo fan) Liara, Tali and many others are good too, but the most beautiful and interesting story happens between this two spectres. How they reading Thenisson to each other, what happens on Mars, theyre jokes and emotional moments... That's what make Mass Effect story so heart touching, epic and very interesting.
And yes, I suppose I should thank you all in this thread for nice discussions and great dialogs. They giving me so much good emotions, and this was very helpful for me after I saw the ending... And about ending, I like the conception of endings, but I hate how the creators make that.
Don't let it scare you away from posting though, from personal experience: you don't really know how capable you are until you've posted and without getting it out there it's hard to improve. Not saying you have to post it, but please don't hold off just because you're afraid it might not be on the same level as the stuff of others. You're right, Data. Passion for the writing was there overall but for specific elements (read Ashley) it was non-existent. That is what separates the work posted here from the game; people care.
The story and dialogue here are way better than the game. I have a few ideas that i wanted to post but i dont think i can as good as some of you guys here like dahellraider, CptData and many others

Yes, Ash is difficult character and that makes her very interesting. So, let's keep our hopes for future DLC, where we will see something new.CptData wrote...
Well played Sir.
You pretty much described the many layers of Ashley's character. She doesn't look too impressive at the beginning and her character has some edges you need to take. But once you know more about her, she starts growing on you. Not just like a friend. More. Like someone you -really- can trust and respect - both is needed for a love.
Ash comes with so many qualities I love in ANY woman.
Don't get it, why ppl call her "b*tchy" - she's not. Ash just speaks her mind. Usually her opinions don't hit below the belt. Usually she's not blaming Shepard for emotional stuff. Ash is more like a really close friend that won't leave you until the bitter end, as long as you earned respect and trust. Well, that's why Ash was pretty much distrustful in ME2 and ME3, but once that issue got solved, she's the most passionate and trustworthy friend you can have.
Too bad, the game doesn't display too much of it. The romance scenes are just not enough. The romance climax scene and the goodbye scene are two of the most powerful scenes for Ashley in the entire series and show the -real- Ashley. The Ash we admire and love.
Exactly, Udina just doing his job.Mr. Brainheart wrote...

Honestly, I don't think that Liara's dialogs in ME1 so interesting like Ash's. Liara usualy talks only about Shepard...Mr. Brainheart wrote...
@Data; I guess they call het b*tchy because the nasty comments make a lot of impact on you. Like the one about Liara's sex life, especially if you like Liara, you'll remember this and then ofcourse it grows out of proportion because people have such fun with stereotyping...<_<
And talking about the content that lacked, I think there was plenty of romance content, just not enough normal conversations, not enough talk about where she's been for two years what she done. Not enough of what any Shepard that is friendly with her would ask.

What present I would give to Ash? Don't know, but I'd like to see how Shepard wold give her as a present high boots, because he remembers conversation with Ashley and Kaiden in first part.Johnny_TYS38 wrote...
Thanks.
A question to everyone here, what kind of present would you give to ash ?

Kimberly Brooks is amazing, and the best voice actor in the entire series love the fact that she uses so much emotion for each line she says. Amazing :-)
