Cleaning out my screenshots folder. Over 120 Ash ones - and that's after nuking the ones I didn't like!

I've still got to convert over half of them to jpeg. Bitmaps are way too big!

And since my one true best friend is back ... have this Ashley's thoughts:

But the truth is: I don't know how. No idea, not unless he accepts my help I'm offering every night and every day when I look into his eyes, touch his hands ...

I really hate the fact Ash never showed this side in ME3. It's part of her character but got never a proper scene in the game - which is a shame.

Yes, people shange, even Shepard. But he lives not for himself, he lives for others. There is no greater destiny. Human can be happy only if he lives for others, that was the opinion of Tolstoy.

But Shepard not looks so happy at all... BioWare showed us very good story of tired soldier. At least Ashley with him.

Even Tolstoy had something to live for - a girl, an idea. No one lives for others only, there's always something that keeps that one fighting for him/herself too.

In Shepard's case, it's an future with Ashley. Sure, he's fighting for the ENTIRE galaxy, gives hope to all living beings while keeping none for himself. But without Ash, he couldn't do it. She's the face, the very symbol for what he wants to save.

People like Data shouldn't have to prop up the story - that's what annoys me. It's hard to believe that ME3 is made by the same studio that made ME1 and 2. It's almost as though they forgot how to write a story with consistency. It used to be like a fine wine. Now it's like lumpy gravy.

God, that was a terrible analogy...

Gah... can't think of anything fan-fictiony to write this evening...

Alot of my fanfiction processes have moved onto Legend of Korra, but right now that ship sickens me. Too f*cking busy worrying about the shipping and I'm quite annoyed at the lack of discussion of the potential genocide of the benders, or how the Avatar will stop the revolution - you know, the other 99% of the series.

And I have misgivings about coming back to this fandom cause I feel compelled to bring back Pierce again - which I specifically stated that I don't want to happen. She died inverse during Thessia's fall. Most of my Shepleys were spurred on by her hiddin or not-so-hidden influence... Not to mention I've chucked my headcanon out. Kinda bummed out about what to do...

Yes, Ash is a simbol, but there is friends too, who was with Shepard from the beginning. I think he fights for them too. But Ash is priority. (=

Sure, you don't have to, if you don't want to bring her back, but no one will feel bad if she returns.

I'm the same somewhat. I do not trust anyone or see anyone as "good" until they prove themselves otherwise. It's a self-defence mechanism that was learned the hard way; as most of them always are. Hasn't failed yet, but you've got to be very careful where you apply it and how forcfully. It can make you appear cold if you're not careful.

Top section might make another good avatar.

If romanced Shepard does seem to fight/keeps going for Ashley in ME3 somewhat, he acknowledges that a few times I believe.

God, that was a terrible analogy... 

ME1 and ME2 didn't have a great plot though. ME 1's plot often let things unexplained, and sometimes inconsistant, like when characters 'know' things you might know, but they shouldn't be capable of knowing it yet at all. ME2's plot was a mess trilogy wise, it serves absolutely no purpose (granted it could've had a bit of purpose if ME3 tied it in, but it's not good storytelling when you play a game and don't see reason or purpose in it). Mass Effect is really good at hiding all that though, you won't really notice it that much. It's a bit of a master of disguise, bluffing it's way out of its problems.

Anyway I don't think ME3 is worse on that level or less consistant, but it's depth of character interaction that takes a hit when it comes to certain characters.
