I can't see conversations between Miranda and Ashley going very well. I'd love to read some but I wouldn't have thought Ashley would be a big fan of the genetically modified ex-Cerberus agent. Shepard may have to jump in very often to stop a cat fight breaking out!

I can't think of any casual way they would meet. They wouldn't meet in the commons because Miranda is never there, but maybe Ashley goes to the apartment where Shepard meets Miranda and thinks hes cheating on her? That would be funny but maybe a little too weird to write it out considering at that point Ash has faith in Shepard again and Ashley isn't a stalker.

Well she could have questions about who this woman is and give her a dissaproving glance over and when she learns she worked with Shepard for Cerberus she might become be a bit more judgemental, like a new gf meeting an old one (I know that wouldn't be the case unless you cheated on Ashley with her) It'd be a very interesting situation

In regard to Miranda, I was always thinking she shows up at their house (or the cabin on Intai'sei, or whatever) a few years after ME3 to ask for Shepard's help with something.

Ash (takes Shepard aside): Shepard, I remember her from Sanctuary. Who is she, really? Why does she keep coming to you for help? Be honest with me.
Shepard: She's just a friend, Ash. Really. I... I worked with her on the mission against the Collectors. She was part of the team that rebuilt me.
Ash: She's Cerberus? Wait... Didn't she say that you gave her access to Alliance intel assets?
Shepard: She's former Cerberus, like me Ash. And giving her access to those assets was the right thing to do. It worked out. We could trust her then, and we can trust her now.
Ash: I hope you're right about this, skipper.

The original idea for this, by the way, came from the concept of sort of a reunion of Shepard's past squadmates, since, as I said, Edwin Shepard really does care about all of them. I think such an event would potentially be combustable, though, because we already know that Miranda and Jack don't get along well, and I have my doubts that Ash would get along well with either of them.

(First meeting).

Miranda: Williams ... that's you, right?
Ashley: Yeah. Who are you?
Miranda: Miranda Lawson. Ex-Cerberus and now freelancer - at least that's describing best my current situation.
Ashley: Lawson ... Lawson. Think that name crossed my desk a while ago. You were the one who saved Shepard, right?
Miranda: Pretty much. It's too much to explain, but if you're really interested in that subject, I can give you some of the project's data. "Project Lazarus". Or, alternatively, you could ask the Shadow Broker - she should know everything about it too.
Ashley: I prefer talking to the source, not to the Broker.
Miranda: Likewise.
Ashley: Not sure if I want to know why you joined Cerberus at all - I can't fully understand why people want to work for them at all. Hell - I don't even understand why Skipper worked for Cerberus.

Miranda: I see. Well, Shepard worked for us because we brought him back. In hindsight I know he just used Cerberus for his own goals. That's something I admire in Shepard ... he was an even match for the Illusive Man. Dangerously even.

Miranda: Because he didn't know. Shepard was acting on a ... natural way. See, at the beginning I though we could use him. Our primary goal was to get in touch with the Collectors and get an agreement with them: stop raiding human colonies. In the end the Illusive Man realized it wasn't possible ...
Ashley: ... and so he sent Shepard on a sucicide mission.
Miranda: Yeah. But at that point he already got our loyalty. Everyone on board of the Normandy was working for Shepard - and I didn't understand why. And I'm sure - if Shepard had used his influence on the rest of Cerberus ... well, the Illusive Man had his reasons to send him through the Omega Four Relay.
Ashley: Thanks, Miranda ... for telling me.
Miranda: Did it change your view on Shepard?
Ashley: Yeah ... it did more than that, Miranda. Thanks. I even understand now why he trusted you and gave you access to some Alliance resources.
Miranda: Maybe one day I won't need to be a freelancer anymore. No more being hunted by Cerberus or the Alliance ... sounds like a dream to me.
Ashley: Maybe.

In my head canon, she had some surprisingly wild moments as a teenager, btw, especially given that she was responsible for helping to take care of her sisters. She was never completely out of control, though - just did a few surprising things now and then - and even that dropped off after she got older.

I suppose her taste in music also depends in part on whether people still listen to CCR 174 years from now. Not all music will last that long, even if it has already lasted a few decades. How much music from 1838 do you listen to?

^Very good Data, I wonder though if Ash would maybe still have a tougher time accepting Cerberus talk especially considering the source, Shepard or Garrus she knows and can forgive and trust but Miranda? I just think she'd have a tough time taking her seriously or really listening to what she says. Maybe I'm being too harsh on Ash lol

@Exorion Yes he's an English footballer who plays for Swansea City, I did a double take first time I heard his name a few months ago cause I couldn't understand why skysports were talking about Mass Effect characters lol

There's one song that can play in Shepard's cabin that has vocals. I swear I heard it play a few times.

Must not play very often, though, because I haven't heard it at all in my current playthrough. I'm starting to wonder if I just imagined it.

It's sad to say but, Miranda will always win the catfights because she is a biotic. However I think that Ash is a little too thick headed and determined to ever lose a fight of words.

I am aware there's a suggestion with the destroy ending that Shepard lives, but you have to bother with multi-player to get that - and I don't.

Not true! I played ME3 all the way through without stopping for multiplayer. I didnt even know how galactic readiness worked at the time. I did all the hard time consuming side-quests and shepard lived...I just wanted to see Ash and him sipping mai tai's on the beach holding hands.... Multiplayer is fun though...Seriously! Give it a whirl.

How did you manage to do that? That's supposed to require 4k EMS (and preventing Anderson from getting shot a second time, or 5k EMS otherwise), which is apparently impossible to achieve without multiplayer. I've done just about all the missions (only N7: Comm Hub with subsequent last trip to the Citadel to complete the two unfinished Hub Missions, Cronos Station and Earth left) and my EMS is currently sitting at 3494.
