@Instance, very good looking forward to seeing it develop. I could just see Ash giving Shepard the ol' puppy dog eyes and him then rolling his, how could you resist it???

@Td1984, I'm almost certain it isn't possible without MP which annoys me greatly but I have heard mixed reports about that. Some have said it is possible, others then say it isn't so I don't know what's going on

So after 2 months now of being obsessed with Mass Effect, does anyone know if there are any Ashley and Shepard posters out there to buy or where you can make them? I can't find any.  I'd love a Shepard and Ash poster up in my room

With any luck, the EC will lower the requirements, since BW said MP wouldn't be necessary to get the "best" ending ("best" being a subjective term). I'd doubt it though.

I'm a bit of a completionist and I could not get the Shep survive scene on my first playthrough I had to go back and play a bit of MP to get it, I believe it is possible to do if you use the datapad app as well.

I have the blues, and the only thing that can help is more Ash:

I'm also loving the Ash/Miranda dialouges. Can't wait to see where Instance's goes.

If you don't want to play MP you can use the save editor to increase your numbers. If you're on PS3 though I'm afraid you're stuck.

Can using the save editor can get you in trouble in terms of Origin?

In any event, I'd probably still be inclined to just avoid the endings. I refuse to legitimize them by seeing them all the way through.

The only poster I have with Ash in it was the one that came with the ME1 guide. Which has Shepard, Saren, Ash and Garrus in it if I remember correctly. I wish they would make a lithograph of Ash like they did with Miranda. I would easily drop money on it.

Ash and Kaidan don't get cool stuff, unfortunately. They're human and relatively normal, so that makes them either "racist" or "boring."

I honestly don't know why there hasn't been a lithograph done of Ash or Kaiden. They did one for Anderson and Javik(Not that Anderson and Javik aren't badass).

Nice of them to do the DLC squadmate from one game, but not the Virmire Survivors.

Eh... I guess I shouldn't be so bitter. I'm just in a mood today.

What do you think if Ash become a writer after war? I mean, she likes literature, and maybe she can be much good in writing. (=

Huh. I never thought of Ash as a writer.

I'm not sure it would work for her. She seems like someone who would need a job that's a little more active. If she really wanted to stop being a Spectre, I could see her going into law enforcement, maybe, thought it would really be a step down.

Since Gangsta brought up Javik - it would have been nice to see more dialouge on the ship between Ash and Javik. Would have been interesting to see the two interact, especially because I think Ash would be less inclined to take some of his crap.

There was a good Ash/Javik dialouge a few pages back.

It would have been nice to see Ash talk to anyone on the ship lol. And yeah, if anyone would call Javik out on some of the stuff he says it would be Ash.

I just like the idea of peaceful life after war. Maybe Shepard can be a politician, i suppose it's a good move, hero of the galaxy now decides the problems in the government. So Ash is a writer and wife of famous politician. I think it looks good, but it's just my opinion. (=

Hmm... Javik and Ashley? I need to see this. (:

If Shepard settled down then I think Ash would to. I could maybe see her being a writer, all though I can see her being a Drill Instructor more so then a writer lol.

@Dannycni: I haven't put it up yet :crying: I want to get a frame for it first so I don't put any holes in it when I hang it. All my ME lithographs/posters are framed, so it needs to be framed to match the rest also.

Nope. It will moan about you using local saves instead of cloud after each edit but it uploads them and carries on anyway.

I saw you guys chatting about omni-blades a few pages back. I too wondered why no one else ever used them. A dedicated melee fight with everyone taking shots at a superboss would've been cool. And learned there's more than one kind of omni-blade for the basic soldier after reading it's codex entry. Shepard and Ash should've taken advantage of that new gear as Spectres.

Brief chat in the Citadel Spectre Offices.

Shepard: Browsing the catalogue, Spectre?

Ash: I wish. That Black Widowhas my name on it. I'm updating my omni-blade's melee-combat application. This program will divert back-up energy cells from my shields to the blade while in use.

Shepard: Worried about Close-Quarters-Combat?

Ash: Did some thinking and figured marine hand-to-hand won't cut it against another synthetic superhuman attack. Converting the blade into a wrist-mounted heavy club should give me the edge in a brawl.

Shepard: Good tactic.

Ash: Yeah. Or I could just use it knock some unsuspecting fembot's head clean off it's shoulders before it gets the chance to grapple me next time around.

Shepard: There shouldn't be a next time. EDI has that body under control.

Ash: Sure, Commander.

Shepard: [checks procurement terminal] But I guess it never hurts to be prepared for battle.

Ash: Hey, Spectre see, Spectre do. Y'know, maybe top-of-the-line arms could help me avoid that type of crunch time situation altogether. I think I'll check out the Black Widow when you're done. Save this beefed up blade for EDI's destined day of reckoning.

Shepard: [chuckles]

Anyone have a topic for a dialogue? Something to talk about other than multiplayer?

I'm doing an Ash and Cortez dialogue at the Citadel's Memorial wall and I'l be doing one with Ash and Thane a few days into physical therapy in a day or two. Just try to think of who she could've come into contact with and why she'd talk with them. And when you really can't think of a topic try browsing through the codex and see if anything in there catches your attention in relation to Ash.

Shepard: Hey, why the sad face?
Ashley: Sorry - was thinking about stuff.
Shepard: You seem to do that a lot lately. Lingering down there in the observatory deck, alone. Half of the crew is already wondering if you're alright.
Ashley: Yeah ...
Shepard: You are alright, hm?
Ashley: Skipper ...
Shepard: I used to have an open door policy back on the old Normandy. And I still have - you can talk to me, Ash.
Ashley: Well ... you asked for it. I'm unhappy. Unhappy of the little progress we make. Unhappy of every wasted minute we're not fighting Reapers. I ... feel restless. And useless. Spent too much time in the hospital and almost shot you. Hell, I accepted your offer to come back - but the truth is, I don't deserve to be here. I'm just here because of you. And not my skills. I'm not special. Remember what I said three years ago? I'm a grunt, a ground soldier with a gun. And we're fighting huge ancient machines killing thousands every minute ...
Shepard: I see ...
Ashley: Don't  get me wrong, Skipper. I'm thankful you wanted me back. But truth is, I'm useless. You should have picked a more resourceful fellow, not the ordinary grunt that lost her squad and the colony she was assigned to protect.
Shepard: I don't know why you say that, Ash. All I can say is, you're no longer the "ordinary grunt". You're a competent soldier and an outstanding sniper - and you're a Spectre. That speaks for you-
Ashley: Udina made me to a Spectre. For his own goals - I was just a tool for him. And I doubt the Council has any use for a Spectre that shot one of them.
Shepard: Well - that case is closed. I talked to the Council.
Ashley: And ...?
Shepard: You're still a Spectre. Taking down Udina to protect the rest of the Council was a difficult decison - but the right one. They can't see any reason to revoke your Spectre status for doing your duty.
Ashley: Skip ... to be honest, that Spectre status didn't mean that much to me.
Shepard: You could use it and take command of your own ship, if you like. So it should mean something to you.
Ashley: I'm no Skipper - you know that. I want to stay here, with you.
Shepard: You're more than welcome. Ash - stop feeling useless. You're not. You are one of the best - and you're giving me a reason to fight. And the crew values you as well. Don't put yourself down, you deserve better.
Ashley: Thanks ... thanks for the pep talk.
Shepard: You're welcome, Ash. Always.
Ashley: One question, Skipper ... your offer to move in ... do you still want that?
Shepard: If you stop retreating to the Observatory Deck, my cabin is your cabin. Deal?
Ashley: Deal.
Shepard: Then pack your stuff. I expect you moving in until 8pm *smiles*

I really like this one. It reminds me of the "you make me feel good enough" line in ME1.

It's sad that we have to head canon reasons for Ash being so quiet on the Normandy. I had always thought she was having trouble reintegrating, that maybe even some of the crew was being cold to her, because they knew what happened with Udina and the Council.

Joker didn't do much to dispel that idea when I talked to him right after Ash came on board. Edwin Shepard barely stopped himself from snapping at him. Joker can be such an a** sometimes.
