Some long talk with her and finally, a hug, maybe a kiss and the promise to do another date. Even if it stays at friendly level - knowing Ash in person is ... worth it. So to speak.

Funny, Ushanka, Ashley looks as if she has hispanic origins. Well, she's very attractive, regardless where her face model comes from (and yeah, the czech girls are -really- attractive ^^)

sorry I didn't write earlier. So much has changed within the last five days. Remember the last entry? I told you about the Batarian communicator - and that we're not the first ones on this forsaken planet.
Well, we're not alone anymore.

We found a small group of Batarians just few clicks away. In a way we should count ourselves lucky - these guys are no mercs and no pirates. And that's all about the good news.

Seems they're trapped here for nine years now. They have no idea what's going on and didn't believe when we showed our mission recordings.
Nine years.
They're waiting for nine years to get picked up. I'm just glad none of their weapons worked anymore, otherwise they could have tried an assault, even if the Normandy no longer space worthy. That group is that desperate.

However, they agreed to help us although the Batarians have little hope left. We won't be able to repair the Normandy - but we might be able to get our quantum communicator systems running again.

Will let you know as soon as we can talk to Earth again ...

I could see where Ashley would not like the whole "gift" thing from Liara but then again this is the final push. If it gave Shepard comfort just as he was about to ... I agree, Ashley's initial reaction would probably be jealousy and a slight feeling of being disrespected by Liara. But considering the circumstances and the trust she has gained in Shepard over the games, she'd also undestand that Liara might want to say goodbye, in an Asari fashion. So she'd begrudgingly accept it.

One thing I've always thought ... if these characters were real how would each feel when they heard outsiders bash their teammates? I have a sneaking suspicion that Ash would give someone an earful for bashing Liara. It's that old "I can say my brothers a jerk but not you" thing.

I like your feedback. If I get it right, you basically concur with my interpretation 'cept in few details, like Ashley's view on the entire "gift stuff". In my headcanon, she -should- be jealous but simply is not. And you're right - Ash doesn't see it as "cheating" 'though it may scratch the "emotional cheating area".

Also in my headcanon Ash & Liara made peace after the endings. They were on a positive path right after Thessia (or maybe earlier!), but the last issues died when Ash and Liara mourned over Shepard's second death. And Liara shares the gift with Ashley, so both women understand each other.

And yeah, I threw in the fact Liara loves Shepard - regardless if the love is returned or not. I like that idea 'though it also gave me an uneasy feeling earlier. Now it's part of my headcanon and I'm fine with that, regardless of what's going to happen with the new endings ... or so.

I've been watching "Band of Brothers" and if you carried your load these guys developed really intense friendships that has lasted through to today. That war, their missions, experiences bound them in a way everyday life rarely does.

Ashley, Liara, Garrus, Tali, etc, etc ... they went through some tough moments together and they all pulled their own weight in battle. So I always see them as trusting and respecting one another in a way that only "soldiers in battle" would. As such, I'd not say a single bad word about any of them in front of the others. I don't think that it would go over well.

Considering that I really love both Ashley and Liara I'll need to sit down one day and write that conversation they had after Thessia because in my headcanon it mended the bridge between them. I wouldn't say they became BFF's but true brothers in arms ... Or sisters if you want ... or sister & asari in arms?

Added ... Hey Cpt! I agree that Liara loves Shepard no matter what ... but I also feel the same about Ash, Kaidan & Tali. All three love Shepard but how could you not. The guy/gal is a hero ... I refuse to acknowledge the douche-y Shepards ... they do  not exist in my ME world.
