I don't need them explained. That's not the issue for me.
Anyway... I want to think about Ash.

i like that. and the pic is very nice. makes me think that shepard is currently making a choice in his mind, and both of these women are looking on at him, as he looks at them, each longing for shepard to make them his one and only. *tantalising imagery*

She'll probably only get 2 lines cause remember BW have to fit in loads of Tali and Liara stuff cause they are in love with them and 'no one likes Ashley' GIVE US WHAT WE WANT, ASHLEY, ASHLEY AND MORE ASHLEY!!!!
Come on, dude. Don't hate. It's bad karma.
Indeed ... It would be better if we used the romance/friendship of Liara & Garrus in ME3 as examples of what fans of other characters would like. These two characters really shined in ME3 and that is great!
B1tchin' at Bioware for that makes no sense to me. Use them ... Use them to illustrate what Bioware is capable of in characters surrounding Shepard. Use what you thought was so great ("unfair") about those characters in relation to Shepard and say what you would like to see with (insert character here). Focusing on what you think they did right and what they did wrong is more constructive to Bioware than complaining that other characters were actually done right (great content/interaction). I think that CptData put down a great list a while back and to be honest I think that it might be beneficial to Ashley lovers if they got with the Kaidan group and sent something VS specific on what they would like in the future. If that's already been done great! I've been out of the loop lately as the ending just ... well ... I can't even talk about it.
I don't think that Bioware played favorites or at least not on purpose ... I just think that with the limited time Bioware had a tiger by the tail and some characters really suffered because of it. The tiger overwhelmed CHud and his team and no one was QA'ing all the relationships ... we will not mention the end (oh, wait. I think I just did. Sorry)
I would also have liked to have seen more interaction both friendship & romance wise with Ashley ... yes, yes the others too (looks at Jack) but this is the Ash thread so I will focus on her. I guess I am lucky that I've yet to play my Shepard that romanced Ashley ... maybe they will add more content. To be honest, I'm a greedy ME lover so I would take more content on all the characters from Ashley to Zaeed!
At this point Bioware is going to oil the loudest and more constructive squeeks when it comes to the SP part of the game ... Thane romancers are probably in the lead at this moment of voicing their complaints constructively.

generally speaking, more feeling and depth could have been put into some conversations. more conversations would be welcomed for this purpose since i tend to get a shallow feel from the game sometimes.i found myself wanting more emotion between Ashley and Shepard. I even wrote a 3500 word dialogue between the both of them, but i think it's too long for anyone to want to read it. i didnt load my me2 save where i stayed faithful to ashley yet (couldnt bring myself to start the SP after the ending again) but with tali ( the LI in the save i did use for me3) it did get a bit shallow at times. considering the circumstances that they were in, facing a galactic threat, willing to wipe out all the main species in a galaxy including humans but still finding love and the desire for companionship between them. it's a happy thought when i think of more ashley.

So with Kimberly recording more lines, I'm just going to assume this will happen because hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies* (until they release the EC).
*This logic also requires that I always save Ash on Virmire.

I haven't played either my canon with Liara or my second fave Shepard who is with Ash.
I played a "throwaway" Shepard and she had Liara. There were times even with Liara that it felt lacking ... she seemed to be chatting more with others than she had time for Shepard.
Liara: No I can't talk now, Shepard.
Shepard: But you just invited Garrus over to talk, biotch!
Liara: What?
Shepard: Uh, I said that Ashley ... uh, needs me.
Honestly, I think what they were trying to acccomplish could not be done in one game. It almost felt like this should have been ME2 and once Shepard hit Earth ... next game ME3. There were too many characters to try and put into the game, stories to close out and battles to be fought.
Seriously, it was just too much for one game. Maybe they should have just made this into a four game story instead of a trilogy.

worse comes to worse, we can always go the headcanon route, like we have been

actually it's not hcaracter hate it's fact. Laira's o th ship the entire game, she moves around it and has banter with other characters, Tali comes on After Ashley and moves around the ship and talks to other characters. Ashley gets put in the hospital for most of the game, an be killed by squadmates or Shepard, and if not that she can be told she can't come back to the ship and if she IS allowed back on the Normandy she stays in her room the entire time outside of the love scene, most of her dialogue is zaeed/KAsumi style where yo click her three times to hear her lines and she only has ONE banter scene with Tali if you do the bomb mission after you cure the genophage and bring Ashley along. (hard to do because the bomb can go off pretty quick) She's a shut in and doesn't want to talk until it's time for sex, that's not cool especially since she's a ME1 Love interest.IliyaMoroumetz wrote...

There is video and no, it's not worth. I mean you can save, play this way, listen those two string and then revert and play normal order. Or, if you lvl 60, do not revert and play as is.

Yes. The plot holes and other issues with the endings bother me significantly, but I can ignore them if Shepard and Ash can be together. That's all I honestly wanted from the ending. Those two deserve a chance at some peace. Everything about the endings just sucked, but killing off Shepard and making it impossible for him to see Ash again was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
It's why I say my disappointment with the endings is partially of my own making. I made Edwin Shepard's story as much about Shepard and Ashley as anything else. Obviously I shouldn't have, based on the content we finally got in ME3. But I did.
I don't think they'll change the endings to allow for that, though. I don't understand why the main character has to die in the end for a story to be "good," but that seems to be the case these days.

Since bioware is not going to change anything plot wise with the extended cut, all I want is Shepard to be able to reunite with ash for one last time before meeting with the god child. After going through so much together, I believe ash and shepard deserve to be together instead of being torn apart. If the extended cut still turn out to be a mess, I might have to start establishing my own head canon

Geralt's death was such example. F3 character, by my opionion, had "meaningful" death (and seeing how he has being healed in two weeks after being irradiated - sorry, do not believe, not matter what future it is).
Don't get me wrong - I'm not pro-ender nor I'm anti-happy-ender, I'm sane-ender.
