Guys, sorry to tell you but Tali IS NOT stealing anything from the Alliance ... at least not in ME1 ;)

So blame Paragon Shepard for letting Tali acquire the stealth tech.

Please remember if you did masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/UNC:_Geth_Incursions in ME1, Tali asks Shepard to give her the Geth data for her pilgramage and doesn't just make a copy or something.

Also, the Quarians aren't the only ones you may blame for espionage and tech stealing.

Sorry, no. I don't buy it.

The bottom line is that Tali passed along sensitive information she gained while serving as part of Shepard's crew. I can understand why it happened, and, frankly, Edwin Shepard should have expected it - but he did feel a little hurt anyway.

Fortunately, the quarians turned out to be good allies, at least for  Edwin Shepard.

Also, this page needs more Ash:

They could got that through Turians, no?

I suppose the quarians could have gotten it anywhere. I just think it's most likely they got it through the quarian who was, you know - actually working on a stealth ship.

Wedding band = wedding ring. Look at her hand.

It's strange for me to defend Tali like that, because there are lots of good reasons in ME3 to slap the quarians, like the use of alliance tech, breaking treaties and starting a war against the geth while the reapers invade the galaxy, BUT in my opinion Tali didn't steal the tech as mentioned before, instead Shepard allowed her to study the ship and its tech and I just assume Shepard knew she'd pass it over to her people, bottom line "stealing" tech from a terrorist organization that stole it from the Alliance & the turians doesn't seem like a big deal for me ( and my Shepards ;) ).

On the contrary on my first playthrough ( Male Shepard who romanced Ash in ME1 and didn't "betray" her in ME2 ) I was REALLY tempted to pick the renegade lines during the mission on Mars, I just had the feeling Ashley constantly rubbed the "Cerberus-thing" in my face. Paragon lines/being nice to her played out okay in the end, but
I really felt the urge to tell her to stfu after what happened on Horizon & the poor treatment of the romance arc in ME2 I didn't expect Ashley to react that way ... Tali on the other hand helped me defeat the Collectors on a suicide mission and if she picked up some secret Alliance/Cerberus/Turian tech on the way, I DON'T CARE  :P

I just read something interesting in my ME3 Collector's edition guide book. A sentence from The Captain's cabin, "A portrait of Shepard's love interest can appear on the desk near the private terminal". Have you guys seen the portrait?

There's only so many ways you can trap thermal emissions so they would have worked out it sooner or later anyway - similar to how China and Russia now have stealth technology for their 5th generation fighters. They, like the Quarians though, probably had some help along the way.

Anyway, that article is very well written and I am primarily interested in its overall presentation of Ashley rather than the Tali issue. It is a good piece even if you do not necessarily agree with the views expressed.

@Arban, nope.

@ADL, thanks! B)

Nope.

And I wanted to hear Ashley's opinion about keeping that picture and staying loyal to her

I don't get it. The guide book said a portrait of Shepard's LI can appear on the desk but none of us has seen it. So the guide book lied there :crying:.

@CptData
I wanted to hear Ashley's opinion as well. That would have been nice.

I hope, my Shepard will see Ashley again in EC.

Somebody can explain me- Before Attack on Citadel by Cerberus Shepard told Ashley that he needs her, but after Attack she's still neutral like he never tell that.

Ok this is my first piece of dialogue so I apologise if it sucks but I wanted to know what you all think. Basically I was interested by the whole photo on Shepards desk issue and it gave me this idea.

Ashley is sitting in the observation deck when Garrus walks in

Garrus: Hey Williams, how are you today?
Ashley: Oh Hi Garrus, I'm fine and you?
Garrus: Desperate for some shore leave so I can have a few drinks at Purgatory. Are you sure you're ok?
Ashley: Yea why wouldn't I be?
Garrus: Williams, after speanding so long around humans I've picked up on a few characteristics and it seems like you're upset.
Ashley: I was just...thinking...Garrus...while you were working for Cerberus...
Garrus: With Cerberus
Ashley: Sorry, 'with' Cerberus, did Shepard ever mention me?
Garrus: Let me tell you a story Williams, just before we were about to hit the collector base I went to find Shepard to go over some possible strategies for attack, I walked into his cabin but he didn't hear me come in. I watched him sitting at his desk but he was staring at something he held in his hand...just staring...whith a smile on his face as what he held seemed to give him some memories of joy and happiness. I'd never seen him like this before so I couldn't help watching. Just before he noticed me he closed his eyes, clutched the object to his chest and mumbled something before opening his eyes and kissing the object. You know what the Commander had been staring at?
Ashley joked: I don't know, a magazine full of half naked Asari?
Garrus laughed: No, no Williams, it was a portrait...of you.
Ashley let out a smile
Garrus: Throughout the whole time that the Commander was facing something that others called 'a suicide mission' the only thing that I believe kept him going was his desire to get back to you. Does that answer your question?
Ashley looked up at Garrus and smiled
Ashley: Thanks Garrus
Garrus: Any time Williams
Garrus left Ashley in the observation deck with a smile stretching from ear to ear as she thought about what he had just told her.

It's most definitely not there. My canon MShep Thomas was bummed that there was no pic of Miranda in his cabin. My other 3 Sheps won't need one as their LIs are all on board (Jennifer- Liara, Daniel- Ash, Sarah- Traynor though I may change it on her second playthrough).

It's kinda what the piece is about. Why would Ash and Tali talk about something else when they're supposed to be addressing the Shepard issue?

They talk about something else here.

Yes, well, so far, and as far as I've seen, the only thing that they've ever discussed was Shepard.  Never their home.  Never their families.  Never their pasts.  Nothing. Just Shepard.

It was the disscussion topic. How would Ash and Tali settle the Shepard dispute? Check back a few pages every now and then. We post alternative conversations all the time.

And while I can appreciate the doubt you instill in Ashley in that link you provided, I think it reeks just a bit too much of ME1 Ashley before she mellowed out.  Her voice is ONLY a voice of doubt.  For her to only speak of that when she has been the witness of her suspicions being smashed into the ground is hypocricy. She has benefited from giving people the benefit of the doubt and has grown as a character because of it. Is she stll wary later on?  Sure, however, there's more to her than that.

I am going to have to respectfully disagree on that link that it would be something Ash would say.

No it isn't soley a voice of doubt and the doubt she expresses is justified.
  • She agrees at the end Tali should try negotiations because the immense upside.
  • Ash has had no contact with the geth circa the events ME1 and they were hostile Reaper worshipers.
  • Her first big ME3 moment is with a superhuman synthetic is who bashes her head to the point of emergency hospitlization. Though it's said she's fine EDI's new platform I doubt she's completely trusts them. Would you in her position?
  • And nothing with the Geth is certain. That dialogue takes place before the Rannoch mission. The Quarians and Geth haven't made peace. She warns Tali against a fingers crossed peace pact because history says synthetics and organics don't cooperate.

I know Youth4Ever did a conversation between thane and ash but I just want post somethingon the thread so that it can help me improve. As always, please feel free to point out any mistake

*thane knock on the door*
Ashley: come in
Thane: are you Lt. Commander Ashley Williams?
Ashley: yes. And you are?
Thane:I am Thane krios, a therapist and friend of Commander Shepard.
Ashley: you know Shepard?
Thane: I was recruited by Shepard to help him fight against the collectors
Ashley: Mr krios, if you don’t mind, can you tell me what happen between Shepard and Cerberus
*thane talks about the events that happens in mass effect 2*
Ashley: so you mean Shepard is not really taking orders from the illusive man despite him putting in so much credit into reviving Shepard?
Thane: yes. The illusive man try to stop Shepard from destroying the collectors’ base, saying that it should be preserve for future research about the reapers. Shepard knew that even if the collectors were defeated, leaving behind the base for the illusive man was a bad choice so he decided to destroy the base.
Ashley: look like I was wrong all along. I thought that he must have changed even since he was with Cerberus. I just feel so ashamed of myself after treating him so harshly.
Thane: I believe Shepard still have strong feelings for you. Even since you were admitted into the hospital, Shepard will try and find spare time to visit you.
Ashley: that was really thoughtful *Ashley blushing*
Thane: what both of you need is to sort things together, try and find the bond/ relationship that both of you
once shared
Ashley: thanks for the advice, Mr krios, i will think about it
*Shepard enters the room*
Shepard: hey, thane, you are here for therapy session?
Thane: nah just checking up on miss Williams. So miss William, is it ok if we will start therapy session
tomorrow
Ashley: ok, see you tomorrow then.
*Thane leaves the rooms*
Shepard:  so what were both of you talking about?
Ashley: about you and Cerberus
Shepard: ash *angrily looking at Ashley*
Ashley: don’t get me wrong, I just want toknow what happen when you were with Cerberus. After speaking with Mr krios, I just want to say I am sorry for doubting you back on mars. You are the same man that I love two years ago, skipper.
*Shepard hugged Ashley*
Shepard: I am glad that you could understand where I was coming from, ash

I don't get the impression Shepard green lit Tali to steal Alliance tech. I understand his line, "Feel free to study the ship." to mean she should investigate the systems and get used to them so she can put her engineering skills to use and help maintain the Normandy for the mission. That's a big difference.

Ash wasn't rubbing Shep's Cerberus stint in his face. She easily could've but she didn't. She questions a clean break with the organization because does anyone once integrated leave Cerberus? She questions what was done to him after viewing a Reaperifed Cerberus trooper. Is that rubbing it in? Her doubt isn't unsubstantiated and there's no "I told you so!" moment. She's on his case because she's concerned. If she wasn't close to Shepard she wouldn't care. If she'd stopped questioning everything I'd fear for the relationship. I don't want indifference from Ash. I'd want her to care.

It's because Ash is doing her damn job.  She's supposed to be a Williams.  Better than the best.  When you're inducted into the Spectres, your first priority is to defend the Council, no matter what douchebags they're comprised of.  Ash is a fricken professional.

Nice set of dialogues, Danny & Johnny ^^

------------

Jack: Williams.
Ashley: Jack ... Traynor told me you were on your way up here.
Jack: Where's Shepard?
Ashley: Not here ...
Jack: Fine. Tell him my class needs a ride to Hackett's fleet. I hate waiting.
Ashley: Will do. Wait, one moment ... may I ask you something?
Jack: Sure, spit it out.
Ashley: It's about the suicide mission ...
Jack: Ask Shepard. He was in charge when we got clusterf*cked at that Collector base. Okay ... he led us through that sh*t. No one died ...
Ashley: Yeah, but I want to hear your thoughts about it. Why was Skipper working for Cerberus?
Jack: Working "for"? You don't know him, cutie. He wasn't working for them. Shepard used Cerberus. You should have seen the Illusive Man's face when Shepard decided to blow up that base. Yeah ... Shepard played a good game. He wasn't working for Cerberus.
Ashley: "Cutie"?
Jack: Typical. You cheerleaders don't get the big picture ... huh? First Lawson, now you.
Ashley: Well ...
Jack: Anything else?
Ashley: No, ... I think I know enough.
Jack: No fighting back? Oh c'mon. You look like a tough one - and act like a baby. Too bad. I had hoped to slap you with a singularity or something. Pretty girls deserve that, you know? Nevermind. You'll see me down there, same ol' spot like when Shepard was the boss.
Ashley: He still is, Jack.
Jack: And your role is, ... ?
Ashley: I'm the XO, Jack. First Officer and such.
Jack: Better grow a quad, cutie. You won't last long enough once the Reapers comin' down in force.
Ashley: Jack, I'm no "cutie"!
Jack: Prove it.

oh nice people, as always. After I finish watching this movie maybe I'll do a dialog. Anyone got any good Ideas for a dialog, probably could come up with one myself, given the time. but been doing so much writing lately I'm fresh out of ideas LOL
