tbh im not all that broken up about ash not appearing at comic con, bioware cant really focus to much on individual squadmates in their marketing knowing how rowdy the damn fanbases are.they stick with liara because shes the only one who cannot be killed in two games and THEY know that  WE know this and the most non-liara fans will do is roll their eyes and complain a bit.

im more pissed and annoyed that a ashley fan has to be forced into denoucing ash publucly....WTF i wouldnt have back down.

but maybe it was just a joke, and it wasnt serious. idk i wasnt there. anyway im sure will still get a screenshot of ash in her armor at some point. its just a matter of when.

Liara got showcased at ComicCon though. An interview with the actress and during the cosplay when that one fan dressed as Shepard said that he stayed loyal to Ashley David Silvermann forced him to publicly turn on Ashley and anounce Liara as his new LI.

David Silvermann trashing Ashley by forcing a fan to denounce his loyalty to her publicly and switch to Liara. I know the fan will probably not do that but it wasn't right to do this to him and us publicly.

EDIT: although i dont know who this david silverman is. but whoever he is,he sounds like a douche.

no nat Bah. Kaidan's never been in Marketting, just like femshep, so that's good for Kaidan since he's neglected like that.

I can understand your desire to defend Kaidan in this instance but this thread is about Ashley.

We had no new news on her this entire ComicCon.

As for FemShep marketing and trailer; nice that she gets one. Bad that they won't make one with the default FemShep.

What bugs me the most about this issue with Silvermann is the guy is Director of marketing for Bioware, it is his job to get the fans inspired and hyped up for the products his company produces, and then he trashes a part of his product, Ash, and worse forces a fan of that part to disavow his loyalty, for the explained reason that her chief competitors voice actor is present (whether he personally likes Liara over Ash, I don't know, but this action was deplorable even if he is joking)

DA2 has already shattered my faith in BW...ME3 is their last chance with me...if this game dont deliver I'm out...because if DA2 is proof of their new formula then their no longer The Kings, their simply another cash grab Game company. I am half inspired to write an Ashley fan fiction myself...I got about halfway through a spicey Aveline fan fiction before I played the game....to get back on the topic of Ashley I think Mr Silverman was very...not sure what word to use about that actually...a** hole dont suffice. If I was dressed as Shepard I woulda made a complete fool of myself by going all melodramatic like Shepard. "Never! I would never turn away from the warm loving embrace of my beloved Chief Williams! No force in Heaven or Space could move me from her side. unless you commited character assasination, in which case the Asari will scream as their Citadel plunges into the Sun! The galaxy will tremble when they hear of the fate of the Turians! I will enslave the Salarians and eat their eggs as delicasys!" then scream "ASHLEY FOREVER WOOOOOOOTZ" and walk away proud of myself....

I completely agree!
Ash was always sexy, just b/c others didn't see it that way and thought she was manly (seriously... wtf!?) or w/e else... their loss.

Its just a design decision and smaller, more form fitting clothing and armor for the characters, look better than the standard bulky suit.

Um, if I remember right the "bulky suit" was pretty form fitting as well and guess what.... it also offered.... gasp! protection...

ah yes the "Asari commando" convo. I've been putting ashley in light armor for about 5 ME1 PT's now and she's still an immortl tank. But since she scoffs at the most feared warriors in the galaxy (those commandos) let's list all the famous people in Mass Effect that do wear heavy armor suits and their success in combat!

Nihlius: Spectre sent to evaluation Comamnder Shepard (killed by one pistol shot)
Random mercenaries: killed by Comandner shepard and maybe Ashley along the course of ME1
Anoleis's thugs on Noveria: KIA by Shepard
The geth: the come with armor plating and are killed by the hundreds by various alliance soldiers including Ashley.
Krogan Mercenaries: also killed by the hundreds and ahve redundant nervous systems and regeneration.
Turian Mercenaries: Also killed by the hundreds over the course of two games.
Saren: heavy and reaper upgraded armor, still dead as dead can be after being defeated twice before his final death.
Commander Shepard: yes even she wore heavy armor and she still died....then was subsiquently brought back to life two years later to resume her role as a hyper lethal entity.
Bloodpack and Blue suns mercs: still died despite their heavy armor.
Jedore: had heavy armor and a rocket launcher: dead.
Warden Kuril: head of purgatory, used heavy armor: dead.


I think my point has been made that heavy armor doesn't neccisarrily give one a better hcance of surviving. One group not on there are asari. Yes the eclipse have some asari but you scarely see asari dying as cannon fodder. Even though Ashley scoffs at it the Asari are the deadliest things in space when it comes to combat and it'd be great character development if Ashley learned from the Asari now that she's a spectre and used their armor to become even more deadly than she already was.

Um... fyi...

Nihlus' armor was a light armor. You can get it for garrus near the end of ME1 and it's classified as light armor.

Not all of Anoleis' thugs wore heavy armor... remember that blonde cop? She wore light armor ... and she was the first to die in that fight in all my playthroughs.

And if we wanna go off listing things...

Kaidan: dies on virmire... light armor.
Jack, Thane, Kasumi, Tali, Miranda, Jacob: Can all die in ME2.... all wore light armor.
Turian assassins in ME1, outside of Chora's Den: Light armor..... dead.
Thugs inside Chora's Den when going after Fist: Light armor/no armor .... also dead.
Asari Commandos: light armor..... again, dead.
Jenkins: first to die.... light armor.


Anyway, just b/c you have light armor doesn't mean you can evade death b/c you're quicker. Plus, when have you seen Asari commandos wear jackets and thigh high boots with heels? hmmm?

Point being... it's not necessarily about the outfit... it's what it may or may not represent for Ashley in ME3... I've said this countless times, yet no one seems to understand. 

We don't have much information... so everything turns to speculation... that's all we can do right now and I'd like Ashley not to be turned into a bimbo. All of this arguments and concerns may very well turn out to mean absolutely nothing once the game comes out and each respective side has been proven wrong. But until then... I'm not just going to accept the look b/c "it may have better defensive properties" or "she is a spectre now and needs light clothing"... sorry, that doesn't fly with me.



Also, sorry if I came off as rude... nothing against the actual posters... just the idea of "everything is gun be k" ... lmao

Indeed...the Fiber Mesh underlay was just as form fitting as the lolspandex. However it actually had plates that would stop bullets on top of it. This has what...a shoulder plate? who aims at someones shoulder in a gunfight? Wearing make up in a combat zone...why? the sweat would cause it to smear realisticly. High heeled boots? yea good luck running in those at a fast enough speed for it to matter. Hair down and blocking half her face? good luck with field of view and depth perception with that. Even if that IS armored clothing, that zipper thats deliberatly halfway down basiclly draws a giant Bullseye on her chest that screams "Shoot Here!" and like Reed said....it's not gonna let her outrun bullets. And the Spectre excuse is weaksauce imo...much better things a Spectre could wear. Tela Vasir anyone? But also like Reed said...its mostly about the implications of what this outfit means for the character. Lets face it history is not in Ashleys favor on this subject...but of course...its all just speculation.

I just posted this in the FemShep thread... but... it seems relevent to this:

Camera Angles do wonders...as for FemShep...my FemShep is total buzz head...no hair at all to get in the way...most of the hair style were too "casuel" for my tastes. the hair I dont really care that much about...its the other crap thats the problem honestly.

But I think what ticked me off the most is at E3 and stuff whenver Ash was on screen the interviewer would ask "So...is this a returning face or someone new?" I was like "really?...you just saidf your a big fan and you dont reconize one of the primary characters? For god sake her face is still the freakin same!"
