I have only hope- Shep is dead, Ashley and rest of the Normandy are dead, all fleet we get are dead...

I hope EC can help, I'm very pleased they are getting voice actors back in and the fact that Kimberly Brooks was brought in means that happily there will be some more Ash, but for a free DLC I just can't see it having everything that we all want so I think there is gonna be some level of disappointment after it, but you never know

Nah, Norris is better. No one ever killed Norris. And more that that - no one abandon him for two years. Should Alliance abandon Norris, there would be no Alliance.

@Data; What ideas did you have for the Ashley project? We need lead writers, secondary writers, artists, a crack research team, reviewers etc. We need organizers, people who can help us organize content, direct and keep track of the inevitable discussions we'll have on a topic, someone to conduct polls, set deadlines, etc. We need to set up a group where most of this will take place. And I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of things.

Right now, I'm in, you're in, Brainheart, Dannycri and that's everyone in an official capacity. I think everyone here can contribute ideas. If anyone else wants sign up though, we need commitments soon.

Thanemancers are moving with the #SaveThane project and Mirandamancers are approaching a deadlines for their #FindMiranda project. We should start soon to make sure we get in our bid for Ash at Bioware.

I think we need to start cataloging Ash's career, mark interesting events for possible explanation or exploration, and breakdown/analyze her character to agree on a few fundamental things about her, to make sure we aren't moving in different directions before we get started.

Maybe we need to dedicate days here, in the fan thread, to discussion to keep this project moving with input from regular posters.

So what do you guys think?

To do this "Project" we will need to set up and outline for whatever time-line in the story we wish to explore. To get a vague idea of how we want our story for ash to be told. this is how I do my writings. I have a set plan of every chapter in an organized fashion. Of course the outline is done as vague as possible to make room for editing, as you go along making the project.

Yes, but we need to decide what we want to write about. What we find interesting enough to write about and want to explore in Ash's background if this project is going to be Ashley centered and not Shepley centered or entirely ME plot centered. We need to start combing through her past and making events for explantion that flesh out her character.

If you have an idea for the structure or storyline, or an idea for content, we're open to suggestions.

Timeline's the could be good to explore with ash.

-Events before ME1. Her enlisting, her training and all that could be explored upon. (since its pre Me1 It would be strictly ash and not sheply)
-After Events of ME1. I for one would like to keep it sheply, but still mainly Ash focused. From what happened after ME1, to the events of the Normandy's destruction.
-Between the events the Normandy's destruction and ME2. this right her can be all ash focused. Receiving her promotion, assignments she may or may not have been In and so on.
-During the events of ME2 after horizon until the events of ME3. Seeing how she deals with the return of Shepard, and her becoming an officer.

As you can see, I thinks its best to stay away from the games focus, and focuses on everything that was not explored upon, that could be explored upon. with such a vague idea of what she has been doing. This leaves us with much to explore.

Yes. I think Brain mentioned we won't be re-writing anything in the series or reconning her character. If there is anything else, let's start a list.

Okay, I made a group for the project. Anyone can join, you don't need approval. You can start discussion topics on anything project related at any time. I'll probably start a few just so posters can have a place or two drop ideas.

So what do you guys think?

For the next one and a half week or so I'm going to be busy with exams, so until that's over I can only really discuss and critique a little..after that I'll have plnety of time for writing/researching/whatever. We do need to devide tasks, but keep it flexible, could be someone loses inspiration on something, then it shouldn't be a problem to change things up a bit etc.

I suggest we start a group soon (Edit; You already took care of that I see Youth )  in which we discuss details thoroughly and when we have decided on some stuff we post it in the thread so people can critique it, etc. and do this every now and then.

Btw, can someone copy/paste useful suggestions from the thread into a file? I think it could be useful. I don't have the time at the moment.
