1. Ash is an Alliance soldier, who was sent to Horizon as part of a mission. Even if she wanted to go with Shepard, a soldier does not abandon her duty and go AWOL just because something comes along that she wants to do more. If she had, it would have been terribly out of character for her. Especially since she's working for Anderson, and likely involved in projects attempting to find evidence of the Reapers.
I never said anything on her lack of wish to go with us. Have no problems with that, actually.
But what bothers me here is how VS (in my case Kaidan, but I saw YT video on Ash, same stuff) is played here. For example, first thing my Shepard did after Normandy was given to him, was visit to Citadel. Not for Kasumi, for Anderson. And he asked Anderson about Kaidan (I guess there is chance to do that for Ash, not sure if there any difference for romanced/non-romanced Ash). Not sure I can use Kaidan's reaction on Horizon as reference point, since I haven't played as femShep, but for test playtrhough I saw no difference whether you first went to saw Anderson or not, so there is no chance to tell, whether Anderson told VS about Shepard's visit and interest in him or didn't. So I think there is no difference for Ash as well.
Also, as far as I understand, there is mail Shepard got from VS LI after Horizon, so they know his adress, and, probably, Shepard knows theirs, but there is no chance to send mail to anyone, only receive. Yeah, I know "secret
squirrel mission" and all that, but still, there could/should be way to contact them somehow and inform them about Shepard's condition, since it's obviously open secret.

2. Ash has no evidence whatsoever of the things you can say Cerberus did for you, except for your word - the word of a man now working for a terrorist organization that attacks the Alliance and executed Admiral Kohoku in cold blood. Again, it would be out of character for her not to question you. Frankly, I'm dismayed that Shepard isn't questioned by more people, because, honestly, if he came to me with his story, I'd damn well be reluctant to trust him too.
Maybe they have reasons to believe him, no?
First mail in box is from Anderson. Now someone tell me how the hell he knows that, if Shepard awoke just recently and visited only Freedom's progress? Who tipped him off, Cerberus, Joker/Chakwas or Quarians traffic?
Liara? Well, she handled Shepard's body to Cerberus, but did she knew state of project? Shadow Broker? What for? Speaking of which. Shadow broker worked against Reapers, but wanted to handle Shepard's body to the Collectors? Ehm...
Or Anderson is aware of Shepard's condition because Cerberus=Alliance, regardless of "bad media"? And maybe VS was sent Horizon on purpose? If you didn't choose Anderson - maybe by someone else?
Since from old team there is only Garrus who could be recruited prior to Horizon, is he reliable as "source of trust" or not? He is ex-cop with apprently long service record and good hunch. Not enough?
Joker and Chakwas out of question - they are not ground team.

3. The mission on Mars where Ash continues to question Shepard about Cerberus takes place after Shepard has been detained by the Alliance - for destroying an entire star system, including civilian colonists (if you play Arrival, anyway). It's unlikely Ash has any kind of perspective on why destroying that system was necessary. Just that it happened, and it happened some time after she found out he was working with Cerberus. That must be unsettling at best, especially if your Shepard (like mine) is a paragon who tries to avoid civlian casualties wherever possible.
Not long before Mars, Ash saw and heard personally dialogue between Anderson and Shepard, isn't she? Of course, throwing dogtags back isn't good sign, but there is goddamn Admiral, who give person near you direct order, then there is Hackett, who gives another order. And that person you questionning, is apparently follows those orders. If you soldier and not just random soldier, but pose yourself as "alliance first" type and claims you know where your loyalty is and and you decide to follow those admirals' orders, then please, shut up and follow them, when your maybe not so direct superior (where's Ash is serving at ME3 beginning, anyway?), but still superior gave order, it is better to follow. You have concerns - keep them private. Or voice/write them down, when offered or when there is free time. Vega does it right - just follows, even if he disagrees and haven't been with Shepard from very beginning (yet, apparently, knows him, more or less).
Shepard's "house arrest" is very vague, at best, it is not clear how and why he got there, especially if you didn't played Arrival - so there was no talk with Hackett and last time you saw Shepard - it could be anywhere, with his own ship, maybe even being pro-Cerberus type, but then "boom" - he's is jail. WTF?

Not sure I can find proper analogy from outside of ME. Not sure I want to find it, since it's absurd enough without analogies.
Moreover, on Geth Dreadnought, Kaidan says he read the files on Geth, so, apparently, Alliance have those "files". Maybe they actually had some info on Arrival's events (should you played it), no? Shepard handled some datapad to Hackett, right? Or it was "top secret"?
And speaking of paragon - if you trust your commander, know him and his decisions, maybe there was a reason to wipe whole system? Real reason, not just "make da loudest boom".

For all of those reasons, I like the fact that Ash doesn't just accept our role with Cerberus and take our word that things are "A Okay." It means she's actually staying true to who she is, and showing a degree of realisim in how she thinks.
Aha. But "she's in the Army now". There are superiors, subordination and chain of command. And those above you for any reason trust person you mistrust...
Plus, if she mistrust Shepard - why not shut up about that and just observe silently if you suspect "they all indoctrinated" (I mean "they all in same harness" - Cerberus, Shepard and Admirals)? Be suspicios, don't jump from side to side. If I had plan to place "infiltrator" (not class) Shepard back to Alliance, I'd gladly sacrifice hundred or so men (and even more) just to ensure that Shepard is trusted by everyone that he is no longer with me (*doffs Illusive Man mask*). Because end justify means and there is no morale in war (in politics, actually, but I changed quote), only expediency.
Plus, speaking of mistrust, why Shepard as stubborn and short-fuse Aries too cannot have some mistrust in Ashley? What the hell you, lady, have done, so in six month you rise in ranks from OpChief to Lieutenant-Commander? Kaidan is fine, he jumped just one rank, but given his post that's fine. Ashley? No.
