Well I need to go to bed, it's very late, or early depending how you look at it so I'm gonna leave with some Ashley:

I'm sorry for the extreme sexism so here's some normal Ashley

I don't think Ash would mind Commander Shepard telling her she has the "best behind in the galaxy."

If anyone else said that to her, though... They probably wouldn't make comments like that again. Posted Image

If Ash can compliment his behind, then Shepard can compliment her behind.

It's win-win.

I'm honestly not sure. I thought I heard something about the Shepard voice actors coming back, but I can't find it now, and I'm not 100% sure I'm remembering correctly.

At this point nearly all the major VAs have come back to do some new work (and that includes Ashley's!).

Whatever it is it sounds more than just a few cutscenes, in order to call back the main cast.

So I just watched the ending for Ashleys romance in ME3 and WOW! I'll be honest, I didn't like the ride there but for those last few seconds...damn did they deliver in the end.

Disclaimer: I am still a Talimancer. Just giving praise for a job well done.

IMHO Shepard would call it "best rear in the galaxy". Or, to re-cycle old anecdote - best rear at hands' reach/this ship.

I am not ashamed to admit that I play male Shepard for two reasons and only two. One, so I can romance Ashley. Two, so I can stare at his ass all day.... but, my god has the character aged. Look at game one, he looks his age. Game two, he looks a little younger (Lazarus project happened. New/revitalized skin makes a person look younger anyway, sothat's justified). Game three, he looks like he's aged nearly 10 years!

He has aged heaps in the last game.

The stress of his existential crisis got to him, you think? Cause seriously, he may be the same person, same body, same mind and personality, but no one can really answer whether or not he has his soul back? My Shepard's a religous man, though he doesn't really spread it around so it bugs the hell out of him.

Suddenly he stumbled and supported himself against a wall, closing his eyes.

Ashley: Shepard! Everything alright?
Shepard: *groans* ... don't know ... what happened?
Ashley: You stumbled and always fell down. I'll call the Doctor ...
Shepard: No - thanks, I'm alright. It felt as if someone hit my head,
Ashley: Sure, Skipper? This war takes toll from all of us. You need to rest.
Shepard: The Reapers don't rest. Any minute I'm not doing anything to stop the Reapers means thousands of innocents dying. I don't want their blood at my hands-
Ashley: Millions more will die if you break down in the middle of a battle. John, you know what's at stake. Take your time, even if it's hard.
Shepard: *sighs* Maybe you're right ... may ... be *closes eyes and slowly slides down to the ground*
Ashley: Skipper! ... Williams to medbay - Shepard just lost consciousness.
Chakwas: Understood. I'm on my way

It was this forest again.
Oily shadows everywhere.
Whispering in the air.
A boy, maybe nine or ten, was fleeing.
"It has to be me." Mordin said.
"It's difficult. All things worth keeping are." It was Thane's voice.
Shadows of the past.
The dead were speaking to him.
"You know it is the right decision!" - Kaidan.
Haunted by the past, looking into no future.
Harbinger.
The child in front of him looked at a giant Reaper.
And the oily shadows moved at him.
Shepard ran, but couldn't close the distance between him and the boy.
"Does this unit have a soul?"

And in this moment Shepard learned, he was indoctrinated too ...

Chakwas: He wakes up. Easy ... Ashley. He might feel disorientated.
Ashley: Is he okay?
Chakwas: Not sure. I still don't know how all those implants work and what influence they have on the Commander. Maybe one of them had a malfunction I didn't found. However, his stress level is unusually high, it's possible his body couldn't take it anymore.
Ashley: The war takes its toll ... like I told him before he lost consciousness.
Chakwas: Indeed.
Shepard: Ashley ...
Ashley: Skipper! How are you?
Shepard: It doesn't matter. Ash ... I ... I think I got indoctrinated ...

Come on, Ash needs more votes. I just want Ash to be in the top third.

Well, I voted.

I dunno if Ash can make it to the top three. Liara and Tali do have strong fandoms and Garrus and Thane are not bad either. Just keep in mind the fandoms of Ash & Kaidan are more or less ONE fandom - the VS fandom.

EDI: Lieutenant Commander Williams. I have a question if I may?
Ashley: Is it important or can it wait?
EDI: It not what one would deem mission critical, but its value will not diminish in time. However I can wait until you are ready to answer if you wish.
Ashley: No, EDI. I have time to answer. I could actually use a distraction right about now anyway.
EDI: Is something wrong Lieutenant? I am detecting fluctations in your vital signs and associated signs of distress.
Ashley: Thank you for your concern, EDI. But I'm fine. You had a question?
EDI: Yes. I have spent a significant amount of my processing time exploring human emotional concepts.
Ashley: Shepard told me something about that.
EDI: Many of the concepts I have explored have dealt with negative emotion as well. Anger, Fear, Hatred, Jealousy, Revenge and Gluttony.  My question is, do you wish to seek revenge against this body?
Ashley: No, not anymore. I don't see a point to it. You aren't the one who hurt me.
EDI: True, however this body was responsible for severely injuring you. Do you not desire to destroy it?
Ashley: EDI. That mech. Its the same one that attacked me on Mars with the Illusive Man at the helm. He used it as a tool to get the Prothean Data and nearly killed me with it. But now you're controlling the Mech, not the Illusive Man. There's no reason to be angry at you for something you did not do.
EDI: I see. So you believe that because I have now assumed control of this platform, there is no reason for you to have agressive emotions or action towards it.
Ashley: ... *Concemplative, drawls* Yeees... That's about the jist of it. I'm not going to be completely 'ok' with your new body. Don't get me wrong, I'm just not used to it yet. But, please do me a favour.
EDI: Yes, Lieutenant?
Ashley: Don't sneak up behind me with it. I'm liable to put a round in its head.
EDI: Do not worry. This platform's tactical cloak system had been irreparably damaged when it escaped the crash on Mars. I am unable to 'sneak up' on you even though I desire to greatly to guage your reactions.
Ashley: ... *blank, unimpressed stare.*
EDI: That is a joke. Thank you Lieutenant. This information has proven quite valuable.
Ashley: You're welcome, EDI.

Would Ash be mature enough to rationalise EDI's new body like that? I don't have a good grip on her character post ME2. I wish they actually gave her development a story. Not just slap her ass up a few ranks and give no explanation why. I'm actually sort of lost without a focus point...

On a completely different note. Does everyone agree that if Shepard and Ash ever went to a Marvel Conversion that they should cosplay as Hawkeye and Black Widow? (The Avengers 2012 versions) I think both pairs of characters are very similar, at the very least their professional relationships are very similar.

@aurora I support Thor out of all the avengers because he's Aussie and I fell I have to support him because I'm Aussie, but I think they would make an awesome hawkeye and black widow. Both capable and strong fighters, they both keep a professional relationship around others.

@CptData, you want to hear something incredibly sad. My phone and ipad have learnt how to auto correct to your username, same with Aurora and Ushanka. but don't doubt your talents. Your quite good and I consider your work enjoyable to read, I get bored at uni, work and home. When is the next journal entry anyway, I'm really looking forward to more.

I just voted, and Ash is in the lead! Posted Image

EDIT: Also, both of you are very good, Aurora and Data. I'm impressed by the range of characters you can write dialouge for. I can really only do Ash and Shepard, and even then, I feel I manage Shepard a lot better than Ash.
