Things seem awfully slow. Time for another dialouge:

Posted Image

Shepard: Ash… you awake?

Ash: Hmmamambl.

Shepard: Ash!

Ash: Huh… What?

Shepard: Do you think they’re really going to do a remake of Spectres, 2350?

Ash: Shepard… what the hell? You wake me up at 3 in the morning, just so you can ask if they’re going to do a remake of some sci-fi show from when you were a kid?

Shepard: Well, I saw something on the extranet about it. And I really liked that show…

Ash: Yeah. Really… I don’t care right now. Or ever. Now get some rest.

(about a half a minute passes)

Shepard: Ash…?

Ash: *sighs* Yes?

Shepard: As long as you’re awake… We could do other stuff. You know?

Ash: Shepard… Just… Go. To. Sleep.

Shepard: You’re no fun when you’re tired. You know that, right?

Ash: Uh huh. Right. Love you too, Skipper. Now good night.

To be honest TIM rubbed the wrong way almost immediately. For an organisation whose avowed goal is to protect humanity, an awful lot of their projects negatively affect Humanity and the Systems Alliance (the formal military and poltical arm of humanity).

You sure that effect was negative? You sure actions weren't sanctioned by Alliance's high command or Alliance' Treasury?

Rachni project:
- Targeted Alliance Marines (not the turians, asari or anyone else) and Alliance military installations

Have you read what I was writing?
That was the point - attack your own, to keep it "inside your own kitchen". Or what's your westerners saying there - wash dirty linens on public?
You've seen Council yourself - "it's humanity business". Ideal test case, since nobody cares.

survivor_686 wrote...

- Targeted human colonies whom are actively seeking to expand humanity presence in space.

See above.
Testing on colonists make them relatively safe from spreading and for studying. Plus - informational security.

survivor_686 wrote...

Murdering Alliance Admirals
- Ok this might conceivably be considered self-defence...if you considered a bank robber shooting a cop to be self-defence

I do not tell this is "right" or "legal" or "paladin" or "give +5 to lawful and +10 to good". What if Kahoku dug out links between Alliance and Cerberus? Well, maybe he dug out and they gave him options - poison or shooting himself in temple. Maybe he chose poison to keep it secret from family. Or to prevent doublefire. Hard to explain coroner how victim fell on spikes seventeen times.

survivor_686 wrote...

As far as we've been led to believe the Systems Alliance receives funding from Earth nations, whom in turn gets resources and revenues from colonies that the Alliance sets up and protects.

He-he-he. Posted Image
So simply put - Alliance is funded by corporations. Practically, Alliance is global private security company, or PMC (only not exactly "Private") and will do what is important for those who pays their bills.

survivor_686 wrote...

For all intents and purposes the Alliance represents the military and political will of humanity....

Humanity? Or those few whe pay their salaries?

survivor_686 wrote...

something Cerberus has on numerous occasions subverted or attacked.

Industrial espionage and sabotage. Heard about them?
It's good to have scapegoat you can blame for anything if things go public. Especially if you pay 50% them and 50% to Alliance.

survivor_686 wrote...

As far as we know there are no known Cerberus operations against the Batarian Slavers or Saren Arterius.

If operation was successful, why say anything about it?

survivor_686 wrote...

Cerberus can be compared to Al-Qaeda. An organisations that claims to represent the will of a people, when in reality its hobbling them.

Before performing on official match you have to train. To keep training in secret you forced to do that with someone you know.

With confusion. Are we arguing the morality of the Cerberus organization (the organization not the ideal)? Or whether it has any links to the Alliance?

*With no less confusion* We are arguing?

Regardless - there is no morale in politics and war, only expediency.

Allright, fellow Ashfans, sorry to say that, but I have to go. Oh, damn!

*sigh* I miss AshleyMadelineWilliams ...

Okay, I miss a lot of ol' faces of Ashley fellas, but I miss her most -.-

@ Ushanka:
Think if Ash had the same mood like I have, she might prefer emotional, sad instrumental music.

I dunno. I think she'd be more into popular music. Like, whatever is popular in 2183-86.

She seems to like the music in Flux, considering how she dances to it.

Same here Data,

@DWH1982, very nice I could imagine Ash telling him to be quiet but when Shepard keeps talking she'd just to kick him.

Heh. Wish I thought of that.

Shepard: So, anyway, I was thinking... Hey, you still awake?

Ash:......

Shepard: Hey, you awake? I was thinking about our... OW!

Ash: .... (smiles)

Shepard: You're a cruel woman. You know that, right?

^Hahaha, that's it. I always like to think of those sorts of scenes between the two, makes it seem like there maybe is some happy life for the two afterwards

Yeah. Ash and Shepard deserve a happy life together.

The endings, and the fact that there isn't even an option for a happy outcome, just make the Shepley relationship fundamentially unfair. Ash has to go through Shepard dying, only to get him back, only to lose him again almost immediately after they've worked everything out.

Like I've said before, without my head canon, I'm not even sure it would be worth it to romance Ash anymore. It would keep her from a lot of pain if Shepard is just rude to her from the start in ME1.

Well we've been slow today so I'm gonna share a story about last night.
I had a dream where I was in the ME universe and had to take Ashley and Miranda (don't know why it was those two) on a mission. We had to stay in a house but turned out there were husks in it trying to kill us. But then Jack ended up being there and attacked Miranda so she killed Jack and hung her to the wall. Then I walked in and she and Ashley were crying. Then I woke up...

Anyone know how to interpret dreams? It was great I loved it, me and Ash didn't do anything though I think at one point I kissed her forehead but that's it. I'm pretty sure I was me but was also Commander Shepard, Great dream!

Huh. Can't say I've ever had a dream with Ash in it - or a ME related dream at all. But then, it's very rare that I actually remember what I dream about.

I wish I could come up with more dialouge, since things are so slow. But it's not a good evening for coming up with that stuff.

Heya guys. ... is now a bad time to point out I had an ME dream?

Seriously, got no idea what it was about, but it was Default Shepard and femshep with the two VS (ME3 version), M!Shep was a vanguard, F!Shep was an infiltrator, and they were just charging an entire line of ... think it was Reaper forces.. or the flood.. one of the two, and the biotics were going at it while Ash and F!Shep just snipping and shotgunning at they went along. Not entirely sure it there was an objective, or if it was a last stand... but it was pretty cool..

Shepard needed to conduct physical training before going to Ilos. You know - to make sure Ash was in top shape for the important mission.

Really, it was just him displaying good leadership skills. Posted Image

Going to have some dinner, maybe watch some Stargate SG-1 on DVD.

Thanks to this thread, I keep picturing Shep and Ash fishing after the end of ME3, like O'Neill and Carter in Stargate. I never even thought about whether they like fishing before - though Edwin Shepard was raised on a farm colony, so mabye that would make sense. Posted Image

Can't come up with dialouge because I was turned down for yet another job today, so I'm in a bad mood. Maybe I'll be in a better mood after dinner. If so, I'd like to come up with something, though I'm not sure I'll be able to.

My Shepard likes climbing, did it all the time in cargo bays when he was growing up and played 'king of the hill' with his twin sis (default femshep :D). He's looking forward to moving to Amateratsu with Ash and try his hands at those cliff-faces.

I don't know if our American Ash fans have any idea what The Eurovision Song Contest is but it's on later today and so in light of that I wrote a dialogue, many of you may be confused if you have never seen or heard of it before but it is a big deal in europe (or I may be the only person on here who gets this):

Ashley and Shepard watching television
Shepard: *sigh* There's nothing good on
Ashley: Well put on the music channels see if there's anything we could dance to
Shepard: *smirking* Oh yea cause you're a great dancer
Ashley lightly digs her elbow into Shepards side
Ashley: Oi, you're the one who has two left feet, you look like an old man on the dancefloor
Shepard and Ashley laugh
Ashley: Here we go, they are showing old Eurovision shows
Shepard: Ah it's 1974, that's the year Abba won it
Ashley: And how do you know that?
Shepard: I love that old music *starts singing and dancing on the sofa* 'Waterloo, Couldn't escape if I wanted to, Waterloo, Knowing my fate is to be with you'
Ashley: You're more of a 'dancing queen'
Shepard laughs: Great song. You know, I wish there was a galactic version of this where all the different races sent in a representitive to sing a song
Ashley smiles: Yea I can just imagine the Batarian entry now, or a Krogan doing a rap while wearing a dress
Shepard and Ashley laugh
Shepard: Well I've seen weirder things on Eurovision and the scarey thing is that that is true
Ashley: You mean like Jedward
Shepard: Exactly
Ashley and Shepard laugh again

I've heard of Eurovision before. Don't know much about it though.
