[DWH1982]

I end up bringing Ashley along for nearly every mission after she's out of the hospital. In fact, the monostary is really the only post-hospital mission she's not along for, I think.

I sometimes wonder if she gets tired of all the action. But she's just too useful for cutting through enemies with that Revenant of hers...

Alright, I asked because on the Liara thread, where this came from, because I like both Ash and Liara, a less than cordial individual could not believe that Ash would behave like this due to her alleged xenophobia, racism, or whatever the hell they say it is.

Liara:  I'm aware it was none of my business, however, word got around that the reason why it too so long was because of your grandfather.
Ash:  Well, it's not like it was a state secret or anything.
Liara:  True, however, I still find it deplorable that both you and your father had to suffer because your grandfather did what he felt was best.
Ash:  Well, you don't exactly get a chance to choose your circumstance.  Like where you were born, whom you were born from, and so on.
Liara:  ...I can understand that.
Ash:  The best you can do is work with what you got and move on.  It took some time, but it finally paid off. 
Liara:  Some of us aren't so fortunate, however, I won't burden you with my own problems.
Ash:  Liara, please.  I was there on Noveria, remember?  And I may not know everything about Asari culture, but I've heard things about why you're not exactly social with most other asari.
Liara:  ...indeed.
Ash:  For what it's worth, it never mattered to me.  *Humored smile*  I was just suspicious of you, Tali, Wrex, and Garrus back on the first Normandy. 
Liara:  *rolled eyes*  A small comfort, to be sure.
Ash:   *laughs* And guess what?  I was wrong about you guys and I regret that.  I just wished you told me about what happened after the SR-1 went down.  The reason why Horizon went so bad was because I felt out of the loop.
Liara:  I apologize for not being more forthcoming.
Ash:  *Waves it off* That's in the past now.  Besides, we got some Reapers to beat.  After that, I'd like to hear about whom your mother was.
Liara:  *Brightens a bit and Nods* I would like that.  And only if you tell me about your family in return.
Ash:  *smiles* It's a deal.

I bring Garrus and Liara for that. Garrus is always the one who says, "Sorry, that was me" with that squad selection.

Garrus seems to override just about everyone.

Ha. That's why I almost never use him in ME3. He talks too much.

Haha, strangely enough, I never really brought Garrus anywhere with me. hmm... 

Mostly Ashley, Liara and Javik. Or Vega.

On my Soldier runs, it's Ash & EDI. On my Sentinel runs, it's Ash & Liara. Ash gets substituted with Vega when she's in the hospital.

I really like it. To be honest, I always imagine a little tension between Ash and Liara, but I don't think they despise each other.

I finally got around to doing my play through of all 3 games in a row and I'm now coming to a close on ME1....the thought of having to go through all of ME2 without Ash is killing me. I don't want to do it

@IliyaMoroumetz, very good we don't get alot of Liara and Ash dialogue even though it is a topic with alot of possibilities.

So I was out all night at a friends playing Final Fantasy X, he is trying to persuade me it's better than ME and the relationship is done better than between Shepard and Ash, but I'm not getting it so far, it made me really want to get back home to play some ME3 again so I can hurry and get Ash back onto my squad.

I liked it. They both seemed very in-character for me. In ME3 those two seemed to get along just fine. We saw them work together on Mars, and it was just like old times. Ashley was jealous of Liara in ME1. I can think of a couple of reasons for it. The main one being Shepard. But she also clearly doesn't like how Shepard trusts the random newcomers so highly and so easily and that's understandable. But she's never hated Liara, and she does care about her.

I did find it interesting that Ashley wishes she was fighting with Shepard on the collector base... She had a couple of funny comments too. Something about those ninja B*tches hehe... and the creepy eyes looking at her.

Think I took her on that mission, but I forget what she says. I haven't had the heart to pick up ME3 again.

Ashley clearly regrets what happened on Horizon, but I always thought deep-down she would have wanted to go with my romanced Shepard. People think it's her loyality to the Alliance that stopped her in ME2, and maybe that played a part in it. But in ME1, she ditched the Alliance for Shepard, and followed him to Ilos even though it was considered mutiny. I really just think she was deeply hurt, overwhelmed and couldn't believe her eyes at the time.

That's why I don't bring Garrus with me anymore.

In ME1 I used everybody in turns.
In ME2 I used... well Miranda was always in my party, usually along side Garrus/Legion/Grunt.
In ME3 I used Ashley/Liara Ashley/James Ashley/EDI

Yeah. Garrus and James don't get used very much after Tuchanka. James not at all, Garrus just for the Ardat Yakshi mission.

I don't think Edwin Shepard would ever be able to leave Ash for someone, but he always had a little crush on Emily Wong. It's why he did all those missions for her.

Ash: Shepard, why do you get that stupid grin every time you watch the news?

ME3 was like getting the crew back together for me. My Shepard had a bromance with Garrus so he was also there. Safe to say he will be the best man at Shepard and Ash's wedding for me lol.

God, it sickens me the amount of Ash content that didn't make it into the game.
Have you guys noticed how Ashley doesn't have extra dialogue branches like Kaidan? Yeah, guess what? It got cut.

I KNOW. I have the original leaked script somewhere on my PC.

Honestly, I prefered the scenarios in there to what we ended up with.

There was one during the confrontation where Shepard and Ash actually physically stuggled before Thane killed Udina. There was another one where Kaidan went berserk and snapped the man's neck with his biotics. And so on and so on.

So many more AWESOME solutions to that scenario that all got cut... T.T
