So I was out all night at a friends playing Final Fantasy X, he is trying to persuade me it's better than ME and the relationship is done better than between Shepard and Ash, but I'm not getting it so far, it made me really want to get back home to play some ME3 again so I can hurry and get Ash back onto my squad.

It is better,much better..if any romances had half as much effort put into them as FFX did....

Socially awkward Shepard I think is perfect for him. Yea ok he is the saviour of the galaxy but put him infront of a few women and he'd take fighting Reapers any day, while Ashley would just laugh at him from across the room.

My renegade was gonna be socially awkward. He was in essence a child solider, he didn't really know anything else from killing so it was kind of understandable. Ash actually thought it was pretty damn adorable. He's Ruthless, so looking at his reputation, Ash teases him mercilessly about his horribly bad communication skills. Kind of blurted out a roundabout 'I love you' at one point. Ash was amused, Rene!Shep was frozen into silence.

My Shep isn't social awkward, but he has his moments from time to time. Ash usually thinks they're cute (but if she's in a bad mood, they're annoying like hell to her).
And I love that picture, Danny - Ash loos so cute =)

That sounds about right.

Edwin Shepard is kinda corney to begin with. It can get worse with Ash, though, because being around her can get him muddled up sometimes.



Although, really, who wouldn't get muddled up around Ash?

I always thought Ashley kind of liked his awkwardness and his poor attempts at being romantic, one of those characteristics that keeps Shepard human because he isn't perfect at everything and isn't a big Casanova so Ashley finds that quite cute.

Did anybody take Ashley to the Asari monastery in ME3? When they're in a dark room, and Shepard hears a loud "clank" and he's like: "I heard something." then Ashley replies with: "Woops. That was me, sorry." I laughed. =)

With her on the squad (don't take Liara) for the monastery, investigate the broken elevator. She sasses you big time.

Take her with Garrus. You get Ash's dialogue plus Samara recongizes Garrus.

Really? What does she say exactly?

Something along the lines of "Elevator is broken...if the holes punched in it didn't give you hint"

Shepard's response "I was working towards that."

Hmmm. When I've done that mission, I've brought either EDI or Liara with Ash. Both comment on the elevator instead of her.

I like that dialouge. Poor Shepard... I can't imagine him dealing with women fawning all over him, especially while Ash is just across the room.

He does seem to have that effect, though, judging by the number of female team members who end up being interested in him.

I have a question: Everyone I have talked to agrees that the Horizon scene, where you meet up with Ash/Kaidan, needs to be rewritten.
So, as topic for discussion I guess, how would you redo Horizon and Shepard's meeting with Ashley? Or, how would you want it to play out?

Yes, I'm hyped up on sugar, yet I lack the drive to write a shepley/Shenko fic...

Quite annoying and frustrating. Been trying to get it going for two days. I know the story. I just don't know an appropriate prologue. I'm getting a fellow writer to assist me in this particular area, but I'm finding it difficult just to sit down and write it. Even though I'm sitting comfortably, have the text window open and everything. I just lack the drive to write.

And its been stuck in my head for months. I just can't get it out.

Yes. The Horizon scene needs a rewrite or a follow up that can lead into or assist in establishing an ME3 friendship/romance. A chance for them to explain things with level heads.

You know - and you did - you can ask me whenever you need an idea.
Or a whole bunch of ideas.

Besides that, you're an expert for Ashley.
